Nice to see you in a race again Dave. I went to Imola this weekend to watch the WEC rece and it was amazing. Drive on the simulator and then see the track and the cars irl has been so exciting! A pure shot of adrenaline!

Just made the plunge and grabbed the Merc GT4 along with a mixture of tracks to support GT4, MX5 Advanced, and F4/SFL this season. So far, I'm VERY happy with my purchase and looking forward to really getting a handle on steering with the brakes in the Merc! Wheelbase purchase imminent as the Microcenter near me is finally opening. Little split on decisions, but its hard to go wrong with any SC/Asetek/Simagic offering.

Funny, I was racing with Tom earlier in the week (he span off so was back with the plebs) in the same series and he was such a menace that I took the time to write up reputation notes for him in CrewChief: "fast but he will wreck you, just let him past".
This series is a great example of where the SR system breaks down because it's basically impossible to do IMSA and GT4 without being constantly stressed out.
Yeah, I am sorry for that. I still need to get used to being faster than others.

32:11 you are not average. You’re consistent though. First time I’ve heard Crew Chief say “all 3 sectors are .34” slower than the leader. I suppose you’re just being humble. 👍

One of the most rubbish jokes I get Julie with all the time. Whenever she says nine I always make out as if I didn't hear so she repeats it. 'i didn't know you spoke German's is always my response 😁

I still miss the heart rate monitor, especially in these multi class races where it fluctuates like mad in the corners where you get overtaken.

I’ve raced Tom many times….. well same split but not wheel to wheel. The guy is fast. I can get a 1:50.8 at best but y’all are averaging my best hahaha
Question! I race in VR so its hard to tell dash info but does the 570s tire temps change the color of the car image on the right side of the dash as you drive? Im still learning to feel out available grip due to overheating or them being cold and having an obvious way to pair feel with data would be a great help!
I think the stay alive rule applies to any race in iracing :}
How come you have two accounts? You touched on this near the end, but if they are about the same iRating and license class what's the reason behind it? Isn't it super expensive?

I mean he prob knows the track and most people I know don’t have a track map on as it serves no real purpose for the driver and clutters the screen
That makes complete sense and I totally get the perspective. Like I use my map mostly to assist in choosing a good pit window in multi class races and visual representation of where everyone is helps. For people who stream or create content though, some have one just for their audience. For example, in Dave's race Jim said there was an incident at Acque Minerali and I instinctively looked for the track map to see how many cars were involved. I know the corner names, although I didn't need to in order to see cars stopped on a track map. That's when I noticed lol. Again, totally fine with it not being there, I just wondered if his reason was simply what you described. Cheers.

Think Dave uses it more for us viewers than himself but for sure in endurance races someone on the team is looking at track map too.

Why does GT4 look fun when other people run it but when I run it the cars feel so slow and heavy.

Consistently Average both in lap times and Safety rating looses lol, everytime you say " I need a safe race" you curse yourself, Try a race where you do not mention Safety rating at all, and lets see if you can break the curse LOL. you seem to talk yourself into off track points lol
