About 8 - 9 years ago, saw Taproot in Salina Kansas at an old shack/gym/skating rink converted to a bar and stage. Taproot came on and absolutely gave it 100%. The singer rocked out so hard he smashed his lip with the microphone on the first song. He split it open and continued to rock. Unfortunately they did have to cut the set short. But they kicked ass before heading to the hospital.
If people would got to itunes and buy their albums and buy a lot of them then that would change. They used to play big venues. This is what the music industry has forced bands to do. I can name 10-20 bands that were once very big and on MTV when youtube didn't exist that play in bars now.
@@jessicashelden9119 You'd figure a dude who went through it wouldn't do it to someone else knowing how much it sucked, but that's what I was given so it sucks.
"but an angel appeared on your devil's side no where to run no where to hide" is the first part of the song i memorized...it stuck out so much lol...great song
Someone said that they are like Deftones and I love Deftones and I bought uhh I don't remember shit now it's on smile but I don't remember what the record is.
I remember hearing their music in like 2000 and till 2005 i had no clue they made more music post 2005 i hope they regroup in 2020 like so many others that have broken up or disappeared its sad that such talented bands disappear due to stupid fights and arguments or misunderstandings
wish granted, its coming back strong, check out bands like charcoal tongue, golden mango, my dysphoria, tallah, tetriarch, sylar, loner, and sentenced to burn...they are all great upcoming nu-metal bands, some of which havent even released a full album yet
Listened to taproot since I was 18 and that’s 21 years now. I blare them in my headphones all day in my classics mix . As I crack my saws and go cutting and logging all days
Love this band caught them live on Fremont Street in Las Vegas doing a free show about 15 years ago in the middle of summer had to be 105° at 4 in the afternoon I remember almost dying of heat stroke in the mosh pit then puking and passing out in the El Cortez Sportsbook Good Times \m/
Me. Listening in 2019, from Pakistan. I came to know about this band through a game True Crime which featured their song Poem. I am glad there still are people listening to them in 2019
I worked with these guys on 3 nights, great bunch of guys came out to see fans after show was over held conversations with them instead of signing something and moving them along, OH and GREAT live performance!
So when these guys came to the Machine Shop in Flint, MI the ac wasn't working so they moved the show out to the parking lot, but unfortunately they couldn't do the drums too from what I heard and asked people to stay inside as well which people did just for the drummer. The whole city got a show for free tho!
Been a huge fan for more than a decade. So disappointed this doesn't even have 20,000 views. They put on a great live show if they are ever coming to your town!
Oh boy! Stephen you got pretty old! Well, it happens even to the best ones, and you are one of the best ones =) His voice hasn't changed at all. Fantastic song, this guys amaze me =)
Glad to see people still jamming to this in 2024

One of the best live bands I've ever seen.. They give 100% whether it's 50 people or 5000!
My sentiments exactly Doug!
Doug Cronkhite That’s it: They’re officially on my concert bucket list just from reading these comments!!!
And just like Bad Acid Trip , they were robbed and overshadowed by a now defunct studio band... Viva la Taproot!!!
Ive seen them at Ozzfest. And our local bar here in Spokane. They gave all both times

Also look for the voicemail Fred Durst left for them back in the day. Bitter little punk.
