Great tutorial! What I was unable to do was the subdivision on the second ring. Nothing happened :( but I prefer the final option better so no big deal. Thanks for sharing!
Hi! I was wondering, when doing the bevel option, is there a way to make the circle that the profile is based off of work in a mirror format? I'm having loads of trouble getting this to be symmetrical and the mirror modifier doesnt seem to work for it either.
great tutorial and channel! could you make a tutorial about using these ring models to print using shapeways or other similar service? i'd like to try to print in bronze a ring made using your tutorial
On the second ring my proportional edit does affect both sides of the ring it only pulls it to one side or the other. Any clue what i am doing wrong? Great turtorial btw. Im getting a great understanding with these videos.
Sorry, It's really hard to tell without seeing it. It sounds like you may be moving it instead of scaling it? The proportional editing tool can work for scaling too, that's how I change the thickness of the ring on the bottom. Thank you for watching! I'm glad the videos help 😁
Hey! Also having an issue with this. I'm following step by step but when I select a part of the ring it doesn't select the other side, and when I try scaling in proportional editing it just makes the piece I selected bulge, but it doesn't effect the whole ring @@GraceNoteForge
I checked my settings and couldn't replicate changing the influence of the scale. It was either scaling the whole width on the y axis or if I turned off proportional it scaled just the selected vertices
I hit a blunder straight up. When I use millimetres the scale is WAY off compared to yours. Mine seems stuck on metres. Is there a setting I need to change to have it scale appropriately? Sorry, massive noob here.
Hey just wondering what you did to make multiple rods come out of nowhere and spin around the diamond? Did you use the mirror tool or something? Just started using blender today and your tutorials helped me a ton with making a necklace!
That's great to hear! I'm happy my videos help 😁 That was done using an Array modifier to rotate around the diamond. Here's a great tutorial from another creator, that shows how to use it in a similar way as I did. ruclips.net/video/6m5r7Uq-Khg/видео.html
@@GraceNoteForge Thanks so much for all the help and info I really appreciate it and this helped me make supports for the jewels in a necklace im making!
Dankeschön für dieses wirklich eindrucksvolle Video-Tutorial. Ein Problem für mein Projekt ist damit endlich gelöst.
Vielen vielen Dank.

Brilliant tutorial among the best
Thank you so much 😁
Bro this is exactly what I needed!
Glad to hear it!
This helped me so much! Thanks a lot!
Glad it helped!

Thank you! I've never tried a service like that before but I'll definitely look into it. Thanks for the suggestion. 👍
Thank you!

how did you fixed it? I have the same problem now

hi how did you make it thicker?
how would I wrap a text around one fo those ring? like bolean an engraving for 3d printing?
I haven't tried printing an engraving yet but Peter Grande has a great video on doing exactly that: ruclips.net/video/z8UbRQjWxOM/видео.html
Hi, sorry I don’t have this little “add tours” how can I found it??? Thank u
when I press G and Y on a vertex it moves the entire object and not just that vertex. what am i doing wrong?
Love the pace and method at which you teach. I'm just getting into jewelry modeling. Is Zbrush better than Blender for jewelry design?
Let me be clear:
Use Blender for 3d modeling
Use Zbrush for sculpting
Use Adobe substance for Painting 3d.
Thanks...
Thx
💯💯💯💯💜
I don't seem to have them options on my Mac?
OMG that music ;(
I lost you at scaling the mesh in the Y plane. You really did not explain at all for a beginner like me.
THIS DOESNT WORK!!!!!!!!
