Was considering this but my front garden is not grassed but paved and that huge box on the wall would be too big to fit behind my cupboard so unfortunately I’ll have to stick with BT

The channel across the lawn looked very shallow, isn't there a big risk of a garden spade going right through the cable?

This is a substandard installation. The fibre cable should be installed in a PVC duct for protection and buried at least 450mm beneath the ground to avoid damage from digging or impact loading. It is not recommended to splice fibre so you would need to lay a new cable from the box on the street to inside the house (as its not in a duct if you hit the cable doing any planting. You won't know where that cable is in the garden in a few weeks. This company is not even smart enough to know that their work is substandard.
