  • In this video we button up all of the interior components. We now have new seats, headliner, sunvisors, carpet, and an audio system with sub and double DIN head unit.

    Next time, cut the upper vent brace 1/4" plastic so you don't have to cut in to the air ducts makes it easier

    So the new bezel converts the 1 1/2 DIN to double DIN. that’s cool.

    Great video! I may have missed in other videos - where did you get seats covered? They look great. Thanks from Texas!

      Seats were Katsinz kit covered locally by Morgan’sAutoTrim in Lenoir City, TN

    So did you end up using the new door speakers? It looked like you just put the factory ones back in.

    • @rockyour4x4
      @rockyour4x4  2 года назад

      Yes, we just reinstall the factory speakers and they work just fine. I do still have the other ones but they had a smaller magnet and smaller dimensions overall than the factory speaker. I may go back and make an adapter eventually but at this point we are just anxious to get this thing on the road.

      Heck I’ve broke them on my 17 F350. Their an old fashion but good way to keep the panels on. I don’t see them changing anytime soon either

    Why would you opt for dubble din as apposed to single?

    • @rockyour4x4
      @rockyour4x4  Год назад

      The larger screen mostly. A single DIN doesn’t display the Apple CarPlay information.

    • @zoddan
      @zoddan 9 месяцев назад

      Double din works with rear camera also and are half the cost of single din with pop out screen

      @@andrewthorsten3809 i haven't done it, but there are a few jeep xjs on the forums that manage to install a tablet in place of the head unit. one person even has a head unit installed behind their tablet, they recessed the head unit back a few inches and have the tablet installed in front of the head unit. they had to customize the bezel and the tablet slides in from the driver side

      The audio parts can be sourced from Crutchfield.com, all of the other interior components were sourced from a local interior shop.
