Hey, just came here from your archive channel. Super big thanks for posting that latest video up. It really helped me understand what happened to you and, more importantly, where are you are now. Keep up the good work!
Well howdy bloody doody matey moo. So this morning I just thought I'd check in with your old channel and saw the two new vids, bloody hell mate, what a time of it you all had. Good to see you back on the mix and doing a channel you love again. Just sub'd and seems I have a load of vids to catch up on. Good to see you mucker. All the best Moose.
Hey Moose, good to hear from you again mate!! How are you? I'm all good these days apart from the ulcerative colitis stuff but soldiering on. Thanks for tuning in again and take care
this jeep is probably old enough, but people should always check for where airbags are. those are explosive/pressurized triggered and screwing into would be bad. they put them in the pillars now, and sides of doors too. you dont want to immobilize or add metal plates to a plastic cover that is supposed to come off for the airbag.
These are designed specifically for the Jeep XJ which doesn't have the things you mentioned, but your absolutely right, if bought for another vehicle or a newer one its worth checking for safely.
Ummm you have some vinyl or rubber flooring that you have put down without telling use about and I’m not happy about it 😂 I think you have the best XJ on RUclips Mike
Haha, you saw. Yeah its two layers of silent coat sound dampening foam. Very light weight but its made a big difference over the silent coat vibration dampening. Its waterproof and it comes in big sheets so you can make a bowl shape over the foot area to contain water. Provided you don't drive through loads of water that gets under it.
@@WorkshoptoWilderness nice…I’m considering laying down plastic and applying this rubber surfacing stuff with recycled rubber granules and try to my a custom molded rubber liner that will be removable. I have no idea if that will work, but there doesn’t seam to be any good solution for a nice fitting floor liner over the insulation
That sounds like a cool idea. Removable is clever because water is not good at all under any of this stuff. Definitely let me know how you get on, it sounds really interesting
I am eager to see the solar panel install when you get to it. That's something I want to do on my Runaway Camper. I'm curious to see the mounting solution you come up with. 😊
I've finished mounting them. I will show it in the next video. It was a pretty clean install and I'm quite happy with it. I just have to wait for the cables and I can see how much power I can get
@@JackFalltrades I didn't make a specific video but you would understand it straight away if you saw it. I'm doing like a walkaround video of the build for this summer so I'm going to be going over it in that video 📹
It’s great to see you getting some love from manufacturers. You deserve it! These panels look great but they are crazy expensive, especially for the whole kit!
i completely agree with everything you said. i'm glad this channel is growing and these panels look awesome ! i would REALLY like to install these panels if it wasn't going to cost me hundreds of dollars for some sheet metal with holes...
Thanks mate, it's nice to get some support now and then, especially since I'm not that well off lol. These panels do rack up when you buy them so I can understand making them is much cheaper. If you can use CAD you just need to find a CNC shop to make them for you or try with a plasma cutter
@@WorkshoptoWilderness I feel your pain regarding income, lol. I bought some aluminium sheet. I’m going to make my molle panel with round holes. A 40mm holesaw in my drill press should do the trick :)
Hey Mike I have a question for you. If you had to start all over with the knowledge you have now and the money wasn’t really too much of an issue what vehicle would you use for an overland vehicle ?
That's a pretty good question and a difficult one. I sort of have a affinity for polishing turds and building things. My worst choice of vehicle would be something that was basically not modifiable or new so not much could be done to it. Another side of me sees the appeal for having a new truck and not needing to do anything but then I wouldn't be able to maintain it quite the same. Maybe an old Toyota or a Landrover Discovery 2? The Discovery 2 is pretty decent.
No worries, I thought It was steel given the weight. They are tough and well made but I expect to some who are conscious of weight will need to think it over.
Mike. It’s Derek. Can i do a 30 minute phone interview with you? Im doing a series on Creators. Zeds in too. Im trying to share to the community and i would love to have you because you’re so important in this space.
Yeah thats ture. I suppose it depends what kind of jeep you have. I wouldn't do this this on my 1990 because I want it original, but my diesel is far from original and I have spares so it doesn't fase me much.
@@WorkshoptoWilderness Ya my panels in my xj are pretty nice and new looking along with the floor and seats. Anything I do to that jeep I try and do it without creating new holes or puncturing any interior pieces. I do really like that diesel though. I wish I could find a good diesel engine to put in mine that'll mount right up to the transmission with an adaptor plate.
Good to see you again, Mike. 😊
"it's shiny and I need to use it" 😂😂😂
"Those holes are just totally mashed, from my years of screwing... things in and out." 😀

Thanks for coming over and for the comment! Its been a journey but good that were on steady ground these days. Thanks for watching.
Same here. I've just binged my way through 3 years of Jeep vids in a week!
My ‘99 XJ qualifies for a classic car license plate in Nevada USA next year!

I think in a crash those ones fitted on the A-pillars could your head quite a bit of damage. 😵💫
You're a super funny guy 😂 love the personality coming through. Keep up the great content and having fun.
You're spoiling us with all these videos!
Not a dead pigeon or shot gun in sight hahahaha damn I have missed seeing you on the telly
I've been looking at getting these for weeks, was hesitant until now. thanks as always for the content mike
Those are pretty neat products. I’d have to sort out how the’d fit my ‘95 2-door though.
im always hesitant to put things on the A pillar as they will increase the size of your blind spot there
Totally agree, I don't like that also. The panel doesn't interfere but I will be Careful about what I put on it

Nice job, Mike. 😊
Great vid Mike! So glad you enjoy them, can't wait to see what kind of utility they bring. 🤜🤛
Thanks again! They are really nice, i've started fitting pouches and things so It should clear up some space!

Quick deployment porn mags ready to roll! So funny! 😂😂
That's a mega kit. I need somewhere for my black mamba too and sitting on that ain't helping either.
I think I will strap mine to the A pillar. I've been using it as a frame stiffener at late.
@@WorkshoptoWilderness good idea. I think I'll put mine on the steering wheel airbag so if I crash at least I go out enjoying myself.

You need guns on them... Lots of guns, Matrix style 😁
Nice, but what are they actually made from?
On the website it says 11 gauge steel

Great videos Mike ! I was wondering about the rear side window mod you has on your rig. Did you make that or buy it? Thanks!

How much will a set of molly panels cost, with delivery to Ukraine?

I'm not sure but you can look at the website above.
" those holes are totally mashed from years of screwing things in and out of them" 😂 Ffs
Those looks realy nice, but te damn they are expensive. I did one here in Romania for the rear window for 40 euros
They are around 45 to 50 dollars a piece so it would add up to kit out the whole jeep.
@@WorkshoptoWilderness plus shipping and cusroms and taxes. Overhead mole peannel is 145 dollars :))
