A solution for pressure pushing the dip stick out and spraying oil is a spring to oppose the pressure. One end of the spring attaches to the loop/handle of the dip stick the other end of the spring attaches somewhere below. It does not look pretty but it would work. Unhook the spring to pull out the dip stick, reattach when it is reinserted.
...but slowly ,really slowly I think your Dad could become unhappy if there is not one screw or gearbox or whatever, he could lay a hand upon :-) But I think-just my feeling, this will become a great year for your whole family team! I root for you all...greetings from Germany! By the way -are perfekt things interesting? NOPE ! I am so fascinated and impressed about his skills in construction and also on his art decorating skills! But will we see him driving also this season? Would like to see him also driving the SO Boss!
I haven’t rewatched the video with the parachute trouble, but when I watched it the first time I was thinking you were late on the chute lever. Drive into them under power. I pulled them when I was approaching the scoreboards. Love you guys!
Hi. Awesome. Gearing up. Glad you found the issue (fueling). I had a thought on what may of made 100% proof cut put today. I did not think of the cause. I was along a code fault send. Yet could not see why the fault code was not sent again. Thanks
Night time show ,,,,,saving them cause I know that there's not many more ,,,I think,,,,,please please 🙏 make more videos,,learned alot watching and knowing what to be more analytical about especially my fuel system 😀
I hope you have/had an easier time with tech than you did with parking (KSR Soccer Mom waited in the tech line for 7 1/2 hours) 😲 Injector O-Ring was the first (and worst case) thing I thought of when you said you had to find a methanol leak. Good thing Dennis sorted that out in a hurry👍
Hope everything goes okay on the 55 man I love the way she sounds whatever it is your Dad can fix it he's the man all right y'all have a good night later princess
Definitely need to make sure the bump box is working properly. I read in the Sick Week rules that if your reaction time is more than 1 second they will NOT accept the time slip! I guess Tom wants to keep things moving faster and having cars sit at the starting line for 5-10 seconds (or longer) building boost slows things down limiting the number of cars that can make hits.
my 2c - we used to run plugs light to med brown n/a toasty - nothing like what you have ... check oil for fuel smell maybe a hotter colder plug and changing gaps and or crank case breathers or both ? I would remove everything that keeps braking or didn't work like the trans overdrive gear unless you r to high in rom on street with a regular tail shaft and longer drive shaft etc.
The chute being packed to long and not opening up is what got Garret when he ran Tom’s car and the chutes didn’t open. Is there a different spring or launch system that kicks the chute out farther so it’s in better air?
X2 I think she heard about that when she went to run Tom's car for her license. Unfortunately, the engine was damaged and Tom made 1 last run on it to finish his race and she was unable to run the car. She caught a flight to that area and went to the track he was running at just to get her license, but that is just how it goes sometimes.
Like Dennis stated, I noticed in some of Tom's videos from the last few days that this car sounds much more pissed off than usual (In a good way). It was immediately apparent in the first burnout I saw. I'm guessing the overhaul and upgrades had a much bigger impact than it would seem. Also, a lot of methanol cars lately are reporting higher than usual amounts of crankcase pressure. Not sure what's going on there.
I'm rooting for you to win so good luck. It's nice to see your videos on the week of the event. Sorry just kidding had to give you a little bit of a rough time. In the words of Clay Millican go to stomp on that loud pedal. Be safe and have fun.
Not gonna stay pretty but I'll keep watching, Big fan Alex. Love the channel. Your dad is an awesome builder and you are an awesome builder and competitor
love you guys, and i love t he Garrett Freedom Factory. Did you pay to park there or did he do that out of the kindness of his heart? The reason i ask is that i might go buy merchandise from him if he did let you guys park there and work without having to pay.
The awards from sick week were given out at the freedom factory. I'm betting Garrett was part of the planning for sick week, since he knows Tom and many of the other racers. I'm sure he didn't charge the racers but maybe he got some compensation from the organizers of the race. Normally, they park at the first track of raceweek as it is in the rules that they can't access their trailers after the race starts, and they they finish at the same track. I have no idea if the hosting race track gets extra money or what it even costs to enter race week. It would be cool to hear how it works.
Haha, Alex this is perfect😄 Plenty of time, finding what needs to be fixed, staying ahead of big could-be problems (o-rings) and being pretty and pretty hilarious at the same time😉😆😆 Kick some a$$ this week💪💪😎
Alex I believe that you and your father should replace the O-Rings each and every time that you remove and replace the fuel rails. At least the ones on the methanol side. The price of and O-Ring versus your safety should be non negotiable. Be safe lady.
I much prefer the shorter videos. It makes it way easier to click on the video. You're good at what you do, and I think you'd get more views if you kept the vids around 20 minutes. Love the channel!
Did you even watch how it was built? That thing is a work of art. Not everyone likes the same art, but that is pretty amazing that they were able to match the paint and patina so that carbon fiber panels look like the original steel body with original paint and patina.
I’m voting Dennis Taylor as a father of the year. For all you both do I salute you.
I love the way the closed caption says '[Music]' when the '55 is ticking over...
Love seeing Alex and her upbeat self enjoying life, always laughing and having a good time.
Alex you and your Dad n Mom and family friends are awesome. Love your channel and all your uploads
You go girl, you and your dad freaking rock. Good luck!!
Trailer parking always takes longer than expected--that's why I just leave mine wherever it is. ;)

Chassis tube breather! That’s trick I like it
Thx for taking the time tio keep us up to date.
Ask Cletus what happens when Tom Bailey didn't repack his chute before letting Cletus drive his car.
at about 9 mins in Alex was in the 55 and a girl was watching. I hope she gets to meet Alex cause that would be awesome!

Best of luck this week team ISKY to the front. Have a wonderful time and a great week
My dad looks exhausted lol👍 the car looks so sick and menacing without the front clip on
I haven’t rewatched the video with the parachute trouble, but when I watched it the first time I was thinking you were late on the chute lever. Drive into them under power. I pulled them when I was approaching the scoreboards.
Love you guys!
that's a good example why you guys should have you a little stock of O'rings on hand.
Have fun this week! Hope you find a couple more tenths.
Thanks for the time and effort on editing/uploading for all of us. Much appreciated
Appreciate the up-to-date, updates!
Enjoy each update too.

When I'm messing with O rings I rub transmission assembly lube on them so they slide easy
Cut fuel injector o-rings are one of my biggest fears as well. Glad ya'll found it and it didn't cause any issues!
Wow, sure glad your dad found that split injector O ring before it failed. We all know how bad that can be from Tom’s fire!
Thank you for another KooL Show BiG AL 🙌 ❤️ 🙏 👏
I hope you have/had an easier time with tech than you did with parking (KSR Soccer Mom waited in the tech line for 7 1/2 hours) 😲

I have a question, parked behind the 55 In the beginning of the video. Who's Buick wagon is that?
Steve Morris'
Steve has a wicker bill on the wagon that caused a problem with his shoots.
Alex, You seem to need a Young energetic Person to hang with. A Friend, Buddy, CoHort, acquaintance or someone to match your energy and nature. 😎
love you guys, and i love t he Garrett Freedom Factory. Did you pay to park there or did he do that out of the kindness of his heart? The reason i ask is that i might go buy merchandise from him if he did let you guys park there and work without having to pay.
i really dont think he would have charged them
@@maximunpayne92 i don't think so either, which is why i bought stuff anyway. :)

Spend all that money on a race car,why wouldn’t you wat to make it look nice. Your 55 is one of the ugliest cars I’ve ever seen.
That's your opinion, and definitely a minority.
