Dennis did the roll cage in my Nova, and as weird as it sounds I feel like I have a connection with these two. I love watching this channel and knowing him and Alex are sharing this sport and adventure together. My daughter is only 1 right now, but my ultimate goal is to have a relationship and lifestyle similar to theirs. It’s simply amazing and I have nothing but respect (and a little jealousy😜) for them!!! GO CRUSH IT, YOU TWO!!! I love it love it love it!!!!!!!!! And Alex, keep being a positive influence for young girls in the sport, showing it’s not just for guys and that you can still be girly and pretty and love cars. Never change..!
There are dogs that are chained up in backyards their entire lives, there are dogs that are confined to backyards their entire lives and never taken for a walk... then there's dogs like Mika that are part of the family unit, loved, treated humanely, exercised and showered with affection... It defies belief how anyone can confine a dog to a space and never allow it out to sniff different aromas, to experience people, other dogs, sights and sounds. Cudo's to the Taylor family for the love you so obviously have for your beautiful dog Mika!
Dang! Watching that in-car view is something else, it looks like you've your hands full, and a lot of nerve as well! Pretty cool that petite little young lady is piloting that car. I know a lot of big tough guys that you could scare to death.
Wawa means "big goose" ... and looking at the store logo ... that was the intention. I passed through the town of Wawa, Ontario many years ago ... Land of the Big Goose! :-)
Thanks Alex for the video. Good thing you guys had a chance for some testing and find some gremlins before sick week starts. You and your dad working together is amazing to see. The best of luck for next week, and hopefully we can see really fast passes, 6s.
Great driving instincts on that uughmmm ...full pass. Natural ability and experience was in effect. Alex was driving that bear. I'm impressed. I sure hope it gets better going straight so you don't have to fight it all the way down. It could go bad quick if you keep having to fight it. I should shut up, it could have been the track.
If I may suggest, back in the olden days the Chrysler automatic Super Stock racers were having some issues with exploding the transmissions coming out of the water in the burnout. We all started the burnouts IN the water in those days... The point I want to make is the stresses on the driveline are greatest as the car HOOKS UP at the end of the burnout... That big chirp you get is "neat" when a funny car does it with a monster rear end and couplers... But I would place moola on the overdrive doesn't like high driveline speeds going promptly to near zero with engine power still making boost and slowly reducing. KERBOOM... In my gasser which was just a glide car, I always got the tires spinning and while still moving I was constantly removing throttle all the way to the end of the burnout. TRY that style and see if you can get where the loud tire chirp is left to the Funny Cars... Bet the overdrives last longer, they are your weak link in the system. Watching intently the last few years...
Thank you so much for your videos. I usually just see a car going down the track #somebody wins #somebody loses but you're showing the team work , vendors, Racine family, racing extended family. You make me understand that it's not just a car going down the track
WaWa started off as a small family owned convenience store about 51 years ago. Their fist store was just North of Philadelphia. They have only been selling gas, at what they call their super stores, for about three years.
welcome to my home town I hope you have a great time while your there . also welcome to the track that used to host the Snowbirds and the Gator nationals back in the 70's when it was Desoto drag strip now it's under new owners but as long as there are people drag racing there it's all good
You are getting it sorted out for sure. Sixes coming to you shortly no doubt. Loved the in-car footage in the last pass as it shows how much effort is needed to drive such a quick high horsepower car.
I missed a few. Busy month. Catching up with everyone. Realised the majority of female content creators channels I subscribed too are daughter’s who have great relationships with their Dads. Something I’m noticing is how focused on their content, how creative and how humble they all are. 🙃I know more about engine’s, roll cages, suspensions, data🤤and the extended families associated with your sport. Thank you. Alex between you and your dad sharing knowledge, after a year I can follow the conversations🤔Just. I ❤️55.
Glad you've found out the hidden secret of Southern Pennsylvania/Northern Delaware , Wawa.... they're growing, but originally from this area. We also got some pretty sweet race tracks (Cecil County in Maryland, Maple Grove about 45min nw in Pennsylvania, and Atco, in New Jersey....) Worth a trip!
Use dish soap on your visor, spread it on with your fingers. Wipe it off with a dry rag. Look through the visor, if you notice any deformities in vision, use a new dry towel and wipe that area more. The soap residue will act as an anti-fog.
I really enjoy your films and endless optimism in what can be a grey world if we let it. Watching your Go-pro in-cockpit footage with a fighter-jockey (I think that's what you call them over there) he mentioned that you might like to think about closing up the distances you make in your control movements in such a high intensity environment. You will be well-practiced and instinctive in making the shifts and pulling the chutes and such but just because it's always been that way doesn't mean it has to be. He was hugely impressed with your reaction to the sticky driving wheel situation and thinks that you definitely have the Right Stuff.
You found out about Wawa! They started out in Southeastern PA and are all over NJ, DE, MD, and eastern PA. Branched out into Florida several years ago.
This girl is pumped up love her energy 👏 you guys are killing it your whole family an this is what it's all about the old guys come over an give her input on what to start looking at it's kinda like one big family helping each other out good stuff loving it I'm one of the old guys now too lol I used to listen to all of them an learned a lot an still listening to advice an learning every day good luck to all of you stay safe an stomp the loud peddle
There's actually a little town about 130 miles from where I live that host's an airport drag race named Wawa. I keep looking at your car and all the work your Dad did building it. He is an artist a true craftsman beautiful car.
Awesome work guys and great that y'all got the 55 in race mode . Really Cool video . Be Careful and stay Safe . The ice has melted here in Sherwood , good day from Arkansas .
Nice job of Analytics and Trouble Shooting, Alex. You're catching up to your dad and a lot of help these days. You are not staying Pretty. You are Smart too! Can't wait to see that 55 do 5.5!
Alex, you and your Dad are so much fun to watch! He is the epitome of a car guy and you are sumthin special too. Oh and i would rather have a cup of WAWA coffee and one oh their Sizzlies than eat at most restaurants!! Try the you will like it!
WaWa is the best! It's based on an unincorporated township/community in PA aptly named 'Wawa' which is also where their corporate headquarters are located. :)
Alex, I think you might be the daughter I always wanted but never had. Just know that I am the self appointed head of your cheerleading squad and unofficial fan club. Best wishes and Lots-O-Luck. Keep your foot in it.
Great respect for you and your Family and friends on this channel. Just found you guys about a week ago searching for stuff on 55's. been binge watching, and I am hooked! Wishing you all a great race season!!
You guys are awesome and alex you have gorgeous long hair and you can really drive just keep it up you with your dad and friends are going far take care and God bless you and your family
Wawa is also a town in northern Ontario Canada. I live in Ontario and didn't know about it until a low budget movie filmed in my town, called South of Wawa
I see the air hose line for the trans break bump button is catching on fast I've seen easy half a dozen cars on sick week doing it ..I think it's cool everyone sharing ideas an what not..
At least she isn't afraid to drive it! Good job you guys. Ive seen quite a few GVO issues lately. The big horsepower deals are becoming more common and Gear Vendor needs to keep up or someone else will fill the need for something stronger.
GV units are built for 1200 hp stock, so it is fine for my 79 C20 with a built 406 sbc and built th400 for general truck use and pulling a toy hauler at only 400+ hp and around 500 tq. I read they can built them for more power but have no idea what goes into that or what the limit is. They also can not handle engine braking. I had to use direct gears down hills and even empty tried not to coast too much down hill but used light throttle to keep the oil pump working. I got over 100k miles before I had and issue and only lost reverse. Cleetus did away with the GV but they got scared for a failure that was their fault (not putting oil in the GV when it was new). Hopefully they all get it figured out and can keep running the GV units as they are certainly useful for making 2 and 3 speed trannys practical.
@CGT80 We're only making 1,400hp in our drag & drive car and I wont use one. Id like to have a 3rd gear but its easier to swap the 29.5 slicks and beadlocks out to 33" street tires with cheap wheels at every track than it is to have GVO issues during Race Week. If it was built like a single planet Lenco, it would never fail and handle 3500hp easily. People tend to overthink things on the drawing board though.
You sure can wheel the crap out of that car. You're gonna be fierce with the bugs ironed out. Ill work for free just to learn from your team. Great family. Two thumbs up.
This is the third Gear Vendor I have seen shit the bed watchin Sick Week prep video. All three sound like they started with the clutches burnin up the oils before the planetary had damage. We had WaWa markets in my home town in NJ back in the late 70's Great little deli no gas pumps at the one in town the one just outside of town had pumps though.
Great content Love your videos. It's awesome how you light up who ever you are around. Good luck this week. Your dad's awesome. Me and my daughter raced jr's together and your videos make me Miss that so much. And The fact that you and her look Alot and act Alot alike make it that much better. Keep it up and be safe have fun this week
Holy shit Alex you are driving that car you were sawing that wheel from left to right looking like a street outlaw on no prep that's impressive I remember when you would get out of the gas if the car made just a little move now you are wheeling it like the big boys do!!!
I Love how the competitors help each other. Awesome. Like one big family

Really liking them in car cameras and this channel! Thanks Alex...
Got to love them 55s, ready to see it fly, looking good Alex 👍🤙
Love your videos and the 55 is a bada$$. Your dad is a master and you take after him.
There are dogs that are chained up in backyards their entire lives, there are dogs that are confined to backyards their entire lives and never taken for a walk... then there's dogs like Mika that are part of the family unit, loved, treated humanely, exercised and showered with affection... Wawa is Indian for goose
Dang! Watching that in-car view is something else, it looks like you've your hands full, and a lot of nerve as well! Pretty cool that petite little young lady is piloting that car. I know a lot of big tough guys that you could scare to death.

Whoa what a ride that go pro footage was. Great driving.
Wawa is a Pennsylvania, New Jersey thing. We absolutely love it, they're expanding.
It's the best gas station we have in Florida.
Wawa is all up and down the east coast
Hi all.
It's all.looking good!
Looks fast at night.

Alex you and your father are making big strides with your new car. Good luck to you and stay safe.

that is why they have the QA1 crew there
@@rossmagwood1381 Yeah I know, I just worry about her. Lot of power for that track it seemed.
@@gokartracers It was just because she pedaled it a few times because her visor was foggy and it upset the Chassis nothing to with the track
@@gokartracers If that track can not handle the power then they are in trouble as that is one of the best prepped tracks in the country
@@rossmagwood1381 OK but even when she was on the power it just seemed on the edge.
What a blast riding with you! Makes me miss those days when 10 seconds was my goal. You are a such a dedicated creator.
You guys are the best by far my favorite people to watch
You guys are so bad ass showing up in a new hot rod drag car you built together what an inspiration 🤍💌👁️👁️🤠😎

That Holley race suit is something i would loveeeee to hang on my wall. Looks sooooo sick!
Alex, your videos inside the cockpit showing fore & aft action during the pass were especially exciting--well done. :)
Make parachute handle either longer or easier for her to find. Great job to all of you. Keep the videos coming enjoy as always
