Thank you for making this video, I had the same issue. I though the Crank angle sensor may be dodgy, but, that checked out fine, no resistance across the windings. I had a 12V supply at the 30AMP main fuse, in the ignition on position, and, on testing, the relay clicked as it should. Once I put everything back together, the car fired up and ran. My money is on the main system relay, like yours, it gets hot. Twenty years of heat cycles have probably taken their toll. There are also some engine loom earth's, just under the breather to airbox hose, these look tarnished, so, I'll be removing, and cleaning them. Also. Your video pointed me in the right direction and saved me a lot of time, so, a big thank you.
Hey JCT love your videos! I we are having the exact same problem on my parents CGA3 Micra, no fuel from the injectors. Do you recommend buying new blue relays or rather the pink 30 fuse link ? The said Micra is at my parents so I can't test them. thanks !
A little extra knowledge for those with this problem. Be sure the heater matrix isn't leaking coolant onto the ECU. ECU is directly underneath in the center console and gives the same symptoms of turning over - non start.
I came across the same problem on a 1999 (W Reg) 1,0 16V, Micra, K11, Crank but not starting, but ONLY on DAMP/ MISTY DAYS, (on dry days it started fine), so when it was a day that had been wet and misty overnight, and the engine was covered in moisture, and it would not start, I sprayed WD40 over the Spark Plug leads, & Distributor, and the car started straight away, since doing this just that one time the car has had no further trouble starting in the wet, or if it had been a fogy misty night, this might help some of you out there that have had a crank no start issue due to damp weather.
Very knowledgeable, unlike myself. I'm in the states with an 04 altima. Have tried replacing cam/ crank sensors and cleaned maf, still no spark except to one or two plugs. Recently found info on a condenser which sits right on top of intake manifold. I'm going to try a new one and hopefully that will do it. If not I will look at testing the ecm and key switch? Thanks, BR
QUICK ACCURATE DIAGNOSIS LIKE IT. WOULD IT HAVE BEEN OK TO DRIVE THE CAR WITHOUT AN INLINE FUSE OR RELAY ON THE CABLE GOING TO INJECTORS SAY IN AN EMERGENCY GET YOU HOME SITUATION ? KIND REGARDS TONY
tony pond hi Tony it all depends on circuit design, this circuit I was pinned into actually drew 2 amps with ignition on and 0 amps off so to run it with bypass would be OK in this instance, never run with direct feed to fuel pump as this would be fatal if involved in crash, sandy
@@sandyande well I've saved this one from the grave! Turns out the open circuit was in the loom running from the engine back through the bulkhead. Although the power is fed from the fuse box next to the battery it does go from there to the fuse box in the dash before returning back to the injectors. I should confess that I just ran a fairly rough and ready bypass wire down the side of the loom to rectify it....

Завтра попробую! Такая же проблема. Свечи сухие искра есть.
Ill give that a go mums sudenly got the same problem yesterday did u solve the issue in the end with a perm fix or was the job abandoned ?
That was the fix along with a push start button to by pass ignition crank position
Thanks so much for your assistance it very helpful please keep the fire burning

tony pond it would have been good electrical practice to use inline fuse
Mine has 12v to injector but I did the wire to the battery any way but still will not start I’ve changed the relay as well but nothing still
PJ Scotland how do you mean
My micra won't start, can you fix for me ? Where do you leave??
I’ll give it a go
My March crank but doesn't start and the fire is not coming on the plug wires
hey man did you solve it my uncle's got that same issue on his micra
top man, thank you.
Would this be a big job to do and is it the same for a 2003 micra
no, thats a k12
Can you say where you got the wiring schematic ?
Hi so long ago think was via a Google search cheers sandy
I tuck one fues out from fues box then put it back in now car will not start it will turn over but will not start what would the problem be
No Idea so back to basics, check first for spark, then for Fuel
Craig Winward hey did you find the problem?? This just happened to me
Hi Sandy, I don't suppose that you ever got the car back to find the fault?
I've just been looking at the exact same thing on an '01 micra today😝
No Kenny I never did cause car failed mot on body corrosion and went to the scrap yard! Cheers sandy
Most likely this one will be the same story 😝

@@kennygrant69kg good man a fix! Cheers sandy
sandy anderson hi my car same. I check both wire for injector. 12volt. And 12 volt. I’m confuse
Неужели я нашол разумное видео с решением проблемы.
most probably an ECU problem.
Your bang on the relay is the problem
