I can tell this man is the kind of mechanic that gets the cars no one else could figure out he reminds me of me and my boss we don't give up and we no it's always something simple unfortunately the Altima I'm working has the same issue but it wasn't that simple I had to actually swap the ecm TCM pcm witch ever one it was our car started and shut off and will no crank no start issue I checked everything u checked and still no start I'm going to swap the ecm maybe I'll make a video on how to
2011 Nissan Maxima: Over the course of years before I bought the car from my sister the battery would randomly leave her stranded (or so she thought) but it's odd that the car would start just fine and after a short drive of perhaps three minutes and about fifteen minutes of her shopping the battery suddenly dies when she gets back in (her job and the store were very close so it was odd that it would crank once but fail less than 30 minutes later). I buy the car and change the alternator and the electrical connector for the alternator cause the plastic was brittle and broken, I did this cause the battery would randomly be drained after the car sat for weeks or sometimes only days. Car works fine for a few weeks (not driven regularly though) and I find the battery is still draining cause it's dead one day, but I charge it up . A couple of weeks later I got in the car and it cranked just fine but then after I put it in reverse all the warning lights come on and the engine wouldn't rev up in reverse. I put it in drive and the motor will rev up and move the car, put it back in reverse and get nothing. I buy a new battery and the car is cranking and working correctly, after a trip the battery and brake light start to flutter on and off but I make it home with no issues. Now the battery and brake light keep coming on but the car is working fine, though I note that if I rev the motor up I can make the light go out after a few times reving the engine. Opinion?
@@angeladaniels3321 Look into getting a used IPDM from as new a model year car (Altima, Maxima) as you can find that's compatible with your car. A scrap parts dealer aught to be able to look up the part and tell you what models will work for your model year range. It's called an "Intelligent Power Distribution Module".
@@Janay467 I've so far had one issue with my battery dying while the car was parked for a couple of weeks. I replaced the IPDM and haven't had any problems until my drained battery the other day. I had my phone charger left plugged in and I think this may be a cause. I think the car isn't going to sleep like it's supposed to. I left my charger unplugged and I am letting the car sit for a while again to see what it does.
Got a question. 2009 Nissan Murano. Same set up as you have there. I am able to ignite the starter from the relay above where you are at 12:20, however when you did the test light i am not getting a light, did you just hit the push start and try and start? And it did light!? I did the same but mine doesnt light and i was looking at the black wire where you put the test light and it looks a little not solid so i will pull it out and inspect but if i can jump the starter from the relay what you think? I got a 2011 maxima change the alternator twice still not turning on..already change the starter too any suggestions i just cant believe 2 alternator are defective?

Have a 09 máxima the serpentine belt came off while driving and car stopped in middle of traffic replaced the serpentine belt try to cut it on the lights and air comes on but won’t crank over help me!!!!!!
If it ran before the belt broke and shut down, then logically it should run after the belt is replaced AND JUMP STARTED. This sound like human error... check your ignition fuse or all fuses. Seem like a blown fuse kinda situation. Or battery connection. Someone may have improperly jump the car off and blew a fuse. Or loose battery connection. If the belt broke, the alternator isn't charging the battery, battery is running the car, it'll die and shutdown. Try this and get back with me.

@partsshooter Great detailed video👍🏾🤝🏾👏🏾 I have 2014 maxima, my serpentine belt came off/broke while drive after having it replaced a week before. I told the guy that the new belt looked like it had shifted and wasn't lined up on the pulleys evenly. I was told that I needed a belt tensioner. Next day, the (new) belt came off/broke while drive on freeway just the other ladies did. Hadn't replaced this belt yet, but having same thing...no crank but lights came(has power) dashboard all lights up but no crank. No movement of gauge needles. The guy hooked it to run diagnostic computer and got reading on all modules except the ECM! He told me its like there is no ECM! He told its like it's not there, his computer is not reading it. He's worked on my vehicle many times with no problems. NOW I'M REALLY BUGGING OUT!!! What do u think? PLEASE HELP with any input. Thanks
You are good on man, I wish you can look at my car , I have a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder and sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn't, I got to take the battery post off for a few minutes and put it back on and it will start, I had the starter replaced and battery and it still do the same thing, what do you think sir

Did you ever find out what’s the issue? My battery is dying randomly but then I try again later and put the key near the button it starts just fine
