    This was Gatos finest hour
Playing the Andes/ Brazilian Folkloric stuff blended with jazz and
his unmistakable tone on the Tenor
In my mind, this stuff is really what brought Gato into limelight and made him famous

My favorite Gato Lp is 'Bolivia', (on either the 'Fantasy' . 'Prestige', or 'Flying Dutchman' label.)

David Doyle ///Hey,David. LOVE Gato!! Unfortunately, I lost all 1,300 of my Lps in Hurricane Andrew in '92. What can you do? I was honored to see the late Mr. Barbieri at the Miami Gusman Center years ago. An evening I'll NEVER forget! He's simply one of a kind!

Just a thought, the harp may have come via the Welsh culture (Breton links) of S. Argentina. Argentinean musicians highly regarded in the USA rarely if ever forgot the folk music forms of their country. The brilliant pianist J.Dalto was not unknown to use the piano wood all over as percussive effect my fave musician btw then and now

Really dig the Gato, but uhhhhhh... that's NOT Billie Holiday. That's Diana Ross portraying her.
