There's also a Castlevania game for the MSX computer that's another variation of the first game. It came out in Japan a few months after the Famicom release of the original and it got released in Europe under the title "Vampire Killer".

Every Halloween season I play through at least one or two Castlevania games, I may have to add this one to this year's list!
I played this game at an old arcade in Japan. It was hard af! Did not know you could top up your health with quarters though 😂

Definitely want to give it a shot. Almost looks like some knockoff game but Castlevania was so new it didn't really have an established identity.
