Haunted Castle is a Castlevania game. It's just not a part of the "main" series. Note the music, most of which is used in other Castlevania games-- Stage 1 (can't remember the actual name), Bloody Tears, Don't Wait Until Night (later used as part of Julius' theme), Stage 5 (again, can't remember the actual name), etc.
OMG i am a huge haunted castle fan, i play this game a lot lately and this TAS really impressed me. Even if i already know this game is very bad programmed there were things i didn't expect
Always interested seeing this one. Despite looking and playing like a cheap bootleg as well as being named Haunted Castle, it's an official Castlevania game alright.
That obscure and hard Castlevania game, I've played the M version 4 years ago on MAME for the the first time a few times, but never finished it, It requires a lot of patience, maybe another time, Great TAS!
I like how many commenters see this for what it is: A Subpar Castlevania outing; though some seem a little confused: It really did happen! And it stank!
Subpar Castlevania I. Only thing it's got going for it is the soundtrack, it looks miserable to play and the pixel art misses the mark a few too many times.
That's the harpy skip. So normally in that other area you're supposed to beat two harpies. The stopwatch is used to prevent them from spawning at all and the game simply checks if there's no harpies and lets Simon through.
Japanese name for this game is completely same as NES Castlevania JP, as well as SNES Super Castlevania IV JP. I don't know what was in their mind, but that would be confusing as heck.
Poor guy has to hold it in all the way to Dracula's castle for the only working toilet.
😂😂😂
F*ck you I can't unsee it now
10:30 Tragically, Dracula's T-posing was not enough to assert dominance over the Belmont.
Seeing Simon wielding a sword, a boomerang and a bomb always feels like a parody material.
Can't believe this game can be beaten in 10 minutes mark.
The game that surprised me when I found out theres more than stage 1.
Apparently theres an entire game to this difficult adventure.
0:30 man the Yellow Devil was really phoning it in here
Truly one of the Belmonts' most memorable foes: Wall
Final Stage BGM: Can't Wait Until the Night
Simon: Yeah We fight at Daytime!!!
Simon's Quest (for the bathroom)
I dont get it
@@paperwraps4356 this game is crap
@elsegundomejorioyo Actually, it jokes about Simon’s walk cycle, but you do you
Camina y grita como que si no llegó al baño jajajjajaja
"What a horrible night , to have a curse !"
-Simon Belmont , plagued with a bad case of diarrhea
Boy are the enemies gentle in this version. I remember the health bar being basically for show.
You can tell this game drew healthy inspirations from Castlevania.

@@BrandyBrandalia stage 1, "cross your heart" came from this game

Tf do you mean, you could say Castlevania on NES is a bootleg of this.
@MilkerMurphy this was released after the first NES Castlevania (released in Japan in 1986) in 1987
Some of its songs actually reappear in the GBA and DS Castlevania games. Stage 5’s theme is in Dawn of Sorrow, for example.

@@Reynsoon At least something good came from its existence. **looks at Dominus Collection**
I think the stopwatch might be overpowered.
So they completely removed it from the dominus collection remake
I remember this being a pretty jank entry in the series. But it's the game that gave us _"Cross Your Heart",_ so it gets a pass in my book.
You have great taste in music.
This game has some surprisingly solid tunes and I love how most of them reappeared in the GBA and DS games
One of the very few CV games where you DON'T fight Death.
Didn't even get to see the 2nd boss :(
So this game just got remastered, and it’s GOOD!
(Haunted Castle Revisited, y’all!)
Mom I want castlevania.
Mom: You have castlevania at home.
Castlevania at home
Castlevania at arcade*
I love this classic. Amazing music including the best version of bloody tears IMO. Perfect choice for halloween 🎃
They just remastered this game in the Castlevania Dominus collection, check it out!
And it's actually playable.
that cartoon BONK sound of the boulders XD
We have castlevania at home:
I’m aware that this is an official castlevania game
The time you're wishing for Castlevania at home.
Not even at home lmao this is an arcade game, unless you own a personal cabinet
4:04 - *BLOODY TEARS*
So many people seem to not know this is a real and Official Official castlevania game 😂
mad man, you did it :D
I feel bad for people that played this as their first Castlevania
2spooky4me
3spooky5me
It takes a brave man to fight evil while not wearing pants💪
Oh yea, is Miguel Belmon - T of Castlevinia
What do you mean Bloody Tears originated not in CV2, but in this game??
EDIT: Nevermind, looks like this game was released a few months after CV2
10:27 glitched color palette
A castlevania game, huh.
poggerssa
why do flea men have to be in every one of these games
Gotta put 'em somewhere
I hate flea men >:(
Those little jerks can't wait to annoy the Belmonts.
This aint any ordinary flea-men in haunted castle. Those are classy ones with good clothing , sir.
Awful Castlevania but really good music…
That's true dude
What happened at 4:22?

Esse foi o primeiro castlevania?
No, it came out in 1987, about a year after the release of the first Castlevania in Japan in 1986
Stop hurting my ear(s) by screaming at me that one boss that screams after getting defeated that i don't know the name of
02:22 you missed the watch, critical error
why is the castle haunted tho ):
Weird they didn't get sued for using bloody tears.
If you're serious, this is an arcade Castlevania game. It's just called Haunted Castle
Also weird Konami didn’t get sued for using Basement Melody and Don’t Wait Until Night.
I had no idea that they allowed a total ripoff of castlevania to exist 😂
Actually it is a Castlevania game, it's just called Haunted Castle.
Konami aren't allowed to "ripoff" themselves?

Ah yes, a Castlevania game ripping a Castlevania game💀
Me encanto el TAS, muchas gracias, soy fan de tus videos❤🎉
