Carissa Messina my nephew just turned 14 is autistic and has a learning disability. I am only 27 but I have taken his responsibility 100% past few years. Some days are so hard. I don't know how I became a mother over night to a 14 year old autistic teen. I love him to bits and worry about him so much out in this big bad world. So comments like that give me hope.

One of my favorite stages with my son, Sky, was 6-9 months. I still remember when he smiled and had his first deep chuckle. I almost fell over with happiness when I heard him laugh for the first time. He's 8 years old now, your kids grow fast. I also love the stage that he's at now. He's the most heartwarming, loving & sweetest child.
I LOVE the habits and routines you're setting and have set. People say I'm crazy because I make my bed, clean the bathroom and straighten up the house before school. It gives me a peace of mind knowing I will come home to a clean room/house and not have to pick up when I get home, but I can just relax for a few minutes. I'm OCD and it's pretty bad, but I think everyone should have habits like that no matter what you do.
Thank you for being so honest about trying to get pregnant. It is definitely an emotional experience. We are still trying and it is about to be a year. Thank you for your tips!
Every age was my favorite age. I also remember that just as each phase wore out its welcome a new one began and renewed my love, my total inspiration , my into -it- ness! I had twins and at 22 years (this June) they are still the joys of my life. Oh how I miss them as babies big time !
Every stage is my favorite! My daughter is 13 months & its so amazing seeing her go from crawling to being brave & wanting to walk. As moms I think we all live to see them smile!!! Shes such a blessing! We went through 3 years of fertility treatment & were blessed with twin girls & surprise 7 years later with her! The whole firsts is amazing to watch! God bless hun!
I love your videos sooo much!! you and Ryan are such a great couple with a fantastic sense of humor!! Carter is adorable! I honestly enjoy every stage with my daughter (she's three now) but my favorite would have to be when she was learning to walk, it was sooo cute! ❤
I remember my mom saying she loved whatever age/stage we were in while we were growing up, and I have to admit that I'm experiencing the same thing now. :) Even though I loved every month of my girls' being snuggly babies, I feel like I can NOT get over how insanely cute my one (almost two)-year-old is right now. My four-year-old is the perfect squishy balance of toddler and child, and is cracking me up with her innocent, hilarious comments, as well as melting my heart with her frequent, "I love you, Mama." I look at my five-and-a-half year old and marvel at how it feels like she was JUST a baby, but I delight in how she learning how to read, helping me with little chores around the house, and looking so much like her handsome Daddy. :) It's WAY too hard to choose a favorite age/stage, so I'm purposing to enjoy the present to the fullest. :)
I know its so cliche, but honestly every month with my baby the best month 😀 when she was born i thought this is it, it can only go downhill from now because she is so cute and adorable, this surely must be the maximum of love and joy one can feel, it can not stay that good or get even better. But every month i am amazed about how awesome she is and everything you get to experience with her! Were at 17 months now and i dread the day when the curve will not go upwards anymore. Not saying all was easy and butterflies and rainbows - but (miraculously) i love and enjoy my daughter every month a bit more 😘😘😘
VasseurBeauty aww you read it!!! Im sure you will experience the same, the love for carter is so obvious and tangible! I cannot Imagine that any loving mother would experience something different 😀😘 i wish you the best time ever and all the love and luck and happiness ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Baby Carter is SO PRECIOUS!!! I just love your videos. I love how genuine you are. I totally binged on your Cleaning and Organization playlist the past 2 days and am so inspired and motivated. Thank you!!!! My kids are 13 and 10....while I miss when my kids were babies, I have loved every stage so far. There is always something to learn and it's absolutely amazing to witness our children learning, growing and turning into complex individuals.
Agreed! Keep vlogging!! It's so fun to watch your videos. You made me cry when you teared up about getting pregnant with Carter. 💙😭 babies are such a gift!!!
My husband and I are trying for over a year now and I really identify with your mention of how discouraging and emotional each month of not conceiving can be... I wasn't expecting that part of your video and was surprised at how emotional I became listening to you because it is really true for us right now. Thanks for including the tips for conceiving in the comment section, I will definitely take your advice. Carter is so adorable, watching these videos makes me want a baby even more! Thanks for being so 'real' :-)
I really enjoyed this! I love seeing your husband and baby! I have 4 children: 15, 13, 9, and 6. I don't have a favorite age. I love who they are now, miss who they were, and look forward to seeing who they become. Enjoy each age while they are there, because it's all too fleeting. It goes by faster than you'd imagine, I promise. Some days seem to drag on, but the years fly by. My oldest will be a junior next year and it's so hard to imagine that she'll be out of high school in just over two years from now.
Lord!! This video was the bomb! I laughed so hard with the hulk shirt and striped socks!! 😂😂😂 Was that ever funny!! And my heart was melting the whole way through with little baby Carter. And had instant tears when you started crying when you became pregnant.
U just motivated me to clean! Thanks so much. And ps. I love how you are putting family videos for us. And at the end for those that don't want to watch them :)) PSS love your relationship with ur hubby
I love that you talked about your experience and tips on conceiving. I'm on month number 7 of trying and I will definitely check out the things you've mentioned.
I'm sending you good vibes!!! The hardest part for me was staying positive and not letting stress/worry take over.. every time I started to worry I would instead try to visualize myself with a baby and I even made a vision board
I don't know why this video had me chuckling so much! Ryan's appearances in your videos are a total crack up! My favourite time with babies is mostly the newborn stages because of how small they are. I also really love the 6-12 month range when they start to really understand their bodies and they learn to be more mobile. As for those toddler years...they're really difficult in my experience, but so rewarding because of how much they learn in such a small amount of time.
My son is almost 26 years old now, and there hasn't been a 'stage' that I haven't loved. (the teen years were a little tough, lol) Enjoy each stage to it's fullest. Motherhood is the most rewarding gift you could ever ask for. He has now made me a grandmother & the love has started all over again. Looking forward to all of my grandson's 'stages'.
I try 6 yrs to have a baby when i finally got pregnant i lost my baby at 31 wks 😢....3 months after that i got pregnant again,my rainbow baby will be 10 on Nov.
I have two teenagers (17 and 14) and my favorite age was between 1 and 4. I miss when they were babies and toddlers SO much that I cry about it probably every couple of days. I cry every time I watch one of your videos because it reminds me of when they were babies. People told me to enjoy when they were little b/c they grow up so fast, but I never really realized that it would actually happen. I am utterly devastated that they are all grown up. You actually love them more every day and every milestone is an absolute JOY to experience. (Just WAIT until he starts talking!) I home schooled my kids so I feel like I am even closer to them b/c we spend every waking moment together and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm going to lose my mind when they move out.
I was going to say the same thing! Married to a stone mason...he said use soap and water if you need to clean or disinfect, hydrogen peroxide works well.
I love the 3-6 month stage because they start being all smiley and happy I just love how anytime I walk in the room my kids get the biggest grin! But as they grow every stage becomes my favorite for different reasons! Carter is such a cutie
I have a three year old, and three months was awesome! Its one of my favorite ages, but 18 months was for sure my favorite. He could run around like crazy and talk but he was still a baby.
so many people are telling me that! I'm trying to soak in every moment because time just goes by so fast! That's one of the main reasons i'm vlogging so I can look back on all of these memories
I really feel like the most important things, like how you feel, and the smells associated in those moments don't ever go away but having video and pictures are the best!!! Mostly those every day things though for sure! Especially when they are making cute faces and sounds, and exploring.
To be honest, I'm a first time mom to an 8 mo. Old and I feel like every phase has been my favorite!! He's more responsive now and I love seeing him grow up but at the same time I want to have my baby a little while longer!! Baby Carter is so adorable. Just enjoy every second you can :) I love your videos and they make me laugh so much.
I have watched every one of your videos multitudes of times and I love them all! Thank you for sharing your positive, upbeat self with us! And your little funny endings with Ryan and now baby Carter just add the cherry on top. I loved this video just as much as your others, and I thought it was super adorable how it started as a cleaning routine video and moved onto a family day type thing. I adored it and my partner and I got a few giggles from it!
My favorite for my daughter was pretty much everything after 10 month. The first 10 months were hell, she had horrible colic and wouldn't sleep. My husband and I would take four hour shifts at night rocking/walking/doing anything to help her to stop crying. But when she started walking, she became a whole different baby and SO happy! She is a toddler now and I LOVE it, each stage is so special! It's amazing to see her learn!
Carter is the cutest baby on you tube... you are really blessed... when I see his smile i can forget the world Really a bundle of joy. I’m a mom of two 20 and 15 ... I think whenever I see them smiling that’s the best time for me.
Beautiful! Just everything you guys do, stand for & are is just beautiful. Ps... where did u get your gorgeous white dinner plates??? Love how big they are, like charger size, and that design around the edges... love them.
Gosh, i simply this video. I couldn't help crying when you opened yourself up about getting pregnant. You made me so emotional and inspired. I guess I just wanna thank you for sharing so much and allowing us into your beautiful life. Thank you!
My daughter is two and I love this age! Their little personalities really come to life. The imaginary play starts to happen and she says and does some of the funniest things ever! Each stage has it's own awesome qualities!
I absolutely love your vlogs. I have a 10 week old boy and watching your vids makes me realise that it's the same for everyone, stealing 10 mins to do some cleaning whilst baby's napping. It's great seeing how Carter is developing too as I can link it to my boy. Thank you, keep the vlogs coming. Beth from the UK
Luke Yoffe Lol. But she could have also been staring at the items in the lane. I do that all the time to see if I wanna go down that lane or not. Guess I may be freaking ppl out. Hahahaa
I have been watching your videos for over a year now and carried my second child at the same time as you. It took my husband and I 15 years to conceive our first and 2 years and 2 weeks later we had our second. What a blessing they both are! I don't think I could choose a favorite age.
Is anybody else convinced that they would get pregnant INSTANTLY if their birth control method failed? I feel like women who actually want a baby it takes them a little while to get pregnant and then the women who DONT want a baby get pregnant so easily. lol
Katrina Woodman that's how my mother and older sister were. They're extremely fertile. My grandmother had 7 children, My mom had 4 children and my sister has 3. They never planned any of their pregnancies. I'm terrified for myself because I don't want children, but given my genetics it seems like I come from a family of very fertile women. lol
I just found your channel a couple of days ago and cannot stop watching! I'm currently two months pregnant and have been jotting down all of your tips 💖 please continue making these!!!!
I've never loved my daughter more than I do now. And she is going to be 3 this month. They can communicate with you at this age and have an opinion about things. I feel like our bond is stronger now than it has ever been ❤️
My twins just turned 3 and i would say age 2 to 3 has been my favorite. At this age they are talking and they tell you they love you. The best feeling ever!!!!
You and your hubby remind me sooo much of me and mine! So supportive and true friends! Enjoy Carter, he is adorable! My boys are 4 and 2 now and I remember feeling like it was impossible to love them anymore than I did, but I do! Nothing like a mommy's love! I'm home with my boys and my oldest is like my little bestie...love them! 💛💛💛
I was the same with my son, I lived newborn, then 3 months, then 6 & so on! I found that every new stage or milestone was more fun/exciting but you don't realise it until it comes. My sons 2yrs now & he's so much fun! I think every stage is different, fun (& challenging!) in its own way. Just enjoy every second as it comes & goes so quickly!!
Hello there, I will share with you my experience: we have 6 kiddos, our oldest is 26, youngest is 18. They are all in college after homeschooling, & you will TRULY treasure ALL of the years in different ways! Thank you for your videos!
My daughter is about to be 8 months. I definitely think this 6-9 month period has been my favorite so far. She is definitely soooo much more active, so it's harder to get stuff done. However, her personality is shining through more, and I definitely am falling more in love with her everyday!
Hey I love the vlogs! I'm a mom of a son nearly 2 years and a daughter who's 7. I love it when they're about 3 months and they smile loads but I also love my son at his age now, he's got a proper personality and honestly does the funniest things. My daughter can be a pain at times but mostly she's good and I like that she can have grown up conversations with me and she can read. I can't choose really, every age has different things to love ❤️
2-3 yrs for my daughter. She's 3 now and I just love hearing her thoughts and how dramatic she is. She's also easier to entertain and when she learns something new it is just the proudest feeling.
My son will be 7 months old in a few days and so far this is my favorite time with him. He has a super bubbly personality and I absolutely love it. He loves to play and talk and try to do everything on his own. Lol. And he's trying new foods and that's my entertainment. Haha. He also has figured out how to give my hand raspberries. He is just so happy and energetic all the time.
I'm so glad you didn't have to wait a month longer for your beautiful babe. We've been trying for 4 years and have been told we are about to experience our third loss. It's definitely hard having no control over when it happens and I can understand how you felt. Hugs!!
My son is currently six months and 3 weeks right now and he is so fun and active and babbles a lot and blows raspberries it's fun to see how his personality is blossoming at this age, I love it!😍 plus he sleeps through the whole night now! So yay for that much needed sleep 😴
My husband and I were trying for two years ... we actually had our first fertility specialist appointment. That became week I became pregnant. My daughter is 16 months now and my favourite age range would be 8 months and on . They begin to really have their own personality and make funny faces or say their first word etc ..... it's so exciting to see them change every day .
I have 4 kids. Every stage was awesome..2-3 years is very trying, but you just have to stay consistent and it's super rewarding! Four years old is my favorite!
There wasn't one phase of my children growing that I favored over another. All phases of my babies were awesome, all toddler phase was awesome, all child phases were awesome, all pre-teen phases into young adulthood haven awesome as well. I say this because it's great to see what they do. It becomes challenging from pre-teen onward because they use the wonderful gift that they had been given a mind & a mouth. God bless. I love your channel and thank you for these vlogs as it always reminds me of children when they were babies.
I can't believe it's been a year since you found out you were pregnant!! It's amazing how fast time goes the older you get and when you have kids. I have 4 and my favorite age was 6-9 months before they could walk but when they were hitting a lot of milestones and not so teeny-tiny! I love the new blog style videos you have been doing!
I like that you shared your pregnancy story about how you tried for a long time. Me and my husband also tried for 2,5 years before we got pregnant and each month that I got my period was the worst. But finally in June last year we found out that we were pregnant and it was the best feeling ever! Hang in there if you are trying. My tip is to tell people close to you what you are going trough. First of all people will stop "harassing" you with questions of "when are you going to have a baby?", and you might even experience that someone close to you are also going trough the same. Good luck to anyone trying out there.
The fact that you had a routine before the baby makes your life so much easier. I love it. Great job new mommy. Mom of 5 over here and the 3-4 was probably my favorite stage. They seem like little people LOL. Btw, I love Ryan, he is so funny.
I feel so encouraged watching your vlogs! My husband and i have been trying for a baby for almost a year now. I'll definitely take the suggestions you talked about!!
Honestly for me there is hasn't been a favorite stage of my kiddos. Every new age and stage I just love them more and more. My boys are 4 and 3 now and we are having so much fun! I love getting to talk with them about all kinds of stuff and discovering something new for them everyday. Enjoy each and every stage and age! It's all challenging yet so much fun and rewarding!
6 to 9 months was my favorite with my grandson that lived with us at the time. However, when it's your own baby, especially your first, EVERY stage is your favorite stage! Always learning new sounds & movements. And can I just say, I love that you were talking about Carter having his own cleaning supplies (which is AWESOME) but before long you and Ryan will have to decide whether or not you will allow Carter to have his own (all cloth, very squishy, comes in blue & pink) baby doll. They are called My first Baby or something like that. IMHO a baby boy that has his own baby simply learns how to be gentle with real babies and grows up to be wonderful men & Daddy's! Please keep up the great work!
My children are 21 and 24 now, but I have to say every stage of my children's lives have been my favorite :) My 21 yr old son was a 2 month preemie so I got to have him teeny tiny for a little longer :) When you have one child and then are pregnant with the next baby, you can't imagine how you can have more love, but you do.... Love just keeps growing and getting bigger and bigger
My favorite stage of my children was def 6 to 9. They really come into their own little personalities and really start to get up and go! Love the vlogs girl!!
I love your channel so much. It really meant a lot to me you mentioning your struggle to conceive. Almost teared up at work. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for almost two years. It would be great if you did a video on what exactly you did... sometimes going through this makes you feel like you are alone. Btw your baby is so precious. Always makes me smile while watching your videos.
I loved the portable happy phase that you're in now but my daughter is now a bit over two and incredibly well spoken and the stuff that comes out of her mouth blows us away and makes us laugh. It's an awesome feeling to hear her say things to me that she thought up all on her own.
My son will be 16 on the 21st. He's autistic and he's finally coming out of his shell this is my favorite time so far.
Carissa Messina so awesome!

I really feel like the most important things, like how you feel, and the smells associated in those moments don't ever go away but having video and pictures are the best!!! Mostly those every day things though for sure! Especially when they are making cute faces and sounds, and exploring.
every stage of your child's development is special in its own way, enjoy each one as it happens and look forward to the next one xx
I think you do look like Carter when you were a baby 😊 Ryan's socks tho 😂😂😂
To be honest, I'm a first time mom to an 8 mo. Old and I feel like every phase has been my favorite!! He's more responsive now and I love seeing him grow up but at the same time I want to have my baby a little while longer!! Baby Carter is so adorable. Just enjoy every second you can :) I love your videos and they make me laugh so much.
He's getting so big! Great cleaning motivation! I just posted my kitchen cleaning routine on my channel. Thanks for sharing!
My parents tried for 13 years before they had me. Don't give up, guys! ❣️
+Amanda Speaks wow that's amazing!
Love your vlogs and even better today with Ryan in his/your natural everyday environment. Baby Carter is just the cutest!
My favorite stage was around a year-a year and half! I still love it though of course 😉 my daughter is 20 months now :)
I absolutely love your videos❤️
thank you so much!
Carter is the cutest baby on you tube... you are really blessed... when I see his smile i can forget the world
Really a bundle of joy.
I’m a mom of two 20 and 15 ... I think whenever I see them smiling that’s the best time for me.
Beautiful! Just everything you guys do, stand for & are is just beautiful. Ps... where did u get your gorgeous white dinner plates??? Love how big they are, like charger size, and that design around the edges... love them.
thank you! They are from pier one, I like them they've held up extremely well!
Gosh, i simply this video. I couldn't help crying when you opened yourself up about getting pregnant. You made me so emotional and inspired. I guess I just wanna thank you for sharing so much and allowing us into your beautiful life. Thank you!
Carter is precious! My daughter is 5 months and I love this stage. They learn so much and they are starting to think and do stuff on there own!
Why do I keep watching these videos instead of getting my own shit done😩
Hotpink Glam Guilty!!!
When I don't feel motivated I watch cleaning videos - even my own - and then eventually it motivates me to get started!
Hotpink Glam 😂😂 same
My daughter is two and I love this age! Their little personalities really come to life. The imaginary play starts to happen and she says and does some of the funniest things ever! Each stage has it's own awesome qualities!
I love your house ✨
Dazerl Aurélie une too is so pretty
I absolutely love your vlogs. I have a 10 week old boy and watching your vids makes me realise that it's the same for everyone, stealing 10 mins to do some cleaning whilst baby's napping. It's great seeing how Carter is developing too as I can link it to my boy. Thank you, keep the vlogs coming. Beth from the UK
6:59 that lady was staring at you
Luke Yoffe lol that's awkward! 😂
hahahahahaha
Luke Yoffe Lol. But she could have also been staring at the items in the lane. I do that all the time to see if I wanna go down that lane or not. Guess I may be freaking ppl out. Hahahaa
Lol
@@bestress04 lol
Carter makes my heart MELT!!!
How funny.. I just found out I'm pregnant on May 1st also 😊
AHH congrats!!!! That's good luck (in my book haha!)
Yes!! I have a 5 year old girl, now we need our boy 🤞🏼
Each age you get something brand new and special, its so hard to choose.!
The woman at 6:57 looks so interested in what you're doing hahaha
I have been watching your videos for over a year now and carried my second child at the same time as you. It took my husband and I 15 years to conceive our first and 2 years and 2 weeks later we had our second. What a blessing they both are! I don't think I could choose a favorite age.
Is anybody else convinced that they would get pregnant INSTANTLY if their birth control method failed? I feel like women who actually want a baby it takes them a little while to get pregnant and then the women who DONT want a baby get pregnant so easily. lol
hahahah the struggle is real. i guess we'll have this fear, until we actually want to get pregnant, right?
all of my pregnancies have been because of birth control fails. I'm very lucky to be so fertile. it's scary. But still
Katrina Woodman that's how my mother and older sister were. They're extremely fertile. My grandmother had 7 children, My mom had 4 children and my sister has 3. They never planned any of their pregnancies. I'm terrified for myself because I don't want children, but given my genetics it seems like I come from a family of very fertile women. lol
Molly Mae I feel exactly the same.
yes I been trying to get pregnant for past 4 years and my auntie has gotten pregnant twice on different birth control method so frustrating
I loved 3 to 4 months when he started smiling and laughing now he's almost 3 on the 21st of July and I'm still enjoying every minute of it 😊
Ah, I LOVE "How I Built This" too! My favorite podcast. I look forward to it every week!
I just found your channel a couple of days ago and cannot stop watching! I'm currently two months pregnant and have been jotting down all of your tips 💖 please continue making these!!!!
I love these vlogs! I'm not at all into kids, but Carter's smile just makes my heart melt. He really looks like the little you!
You guys r adorable ... when my baby started saying mama and I love you ... it's just an out of this world feeling
Oh my gosh, 6-9 months has been my favorite so far! My son is only 9 months old right now but it has been so much fun! Their personality shines.
Carter's smile makes me so happy! Love these weekly vlogs!
She's also easier to entertain and when she learns something new it is just the proudest feeling.
luv when they're around 1-2 , they start to talk & walk & do all kinds of cute stuff !
12-18 mo was my fav! They are starting to walk and talk and are so sweet and helpful!
Very real and helpful - You two are sweet together. I loved it when my son started talking. Love each stage for what it brings you.
I loved this video! thank you so much for doing this. I really like the way that you talk, you're such a quiet and lovely person!
Love seeing you as a mama! Your little man is precious!!
I'm 19, and single but you inspire me to be a mom one day. You are a natural and your house is goals!
seeing your baby smiling just makes my day
6 to 9 months was my favorite with my grandson that lived with us at the time.
Always makes me smile while watching your videos.
every stage is amazing and new and the love just grows and grows. The love is consuming. Enjoy him!
I loved the portable happy phase that you're in now but my daughter is now a bit over two and incredibly well spoken and the stuff that comes out of her mouth blows us away and makes us laugh. It's an awesome feeling to hear her say things to me that she thought up all on her own.
LOVING the vlogs! You and Ryan have a great sense of humor!
