    Key words, “keeping it original”. I don’t often hear or see restorers try to as much of the original parts as possible.

    You really brought that one back from the dead. Appreciate the note about the camber on the wheels (for better track racing), and the black vinyl paint... did you really say you don't clearcoat that paint? Loved the resto and the run time didn't feel at all long. It was great to see all aspects of the project. Thanks for being so supportive of the community with each new video.

    🇳🇴 Nice collour choice. Turned out great. Meat little feature with the moving rumble seat. In Norway we call it, sviger-mor sete. Translates to mother in law seat. Throw her in the back,and let her sit there in the rain and complain,hahaha

    Looks great! I like the original Hotwheels because they were all metal. I believe in later production of the 36 Ford, the grandma seat was molded in the closed position. Probably to save money I would guess.

    You don’t know the trick to taking axels out? I have had to pull them out and put new ones in several times. Super easy todo!

  • @lotharrenz4621
    @lotharrenz4621 Год назад

    aw, that one was so badly corroded I don't think a mirror polish would have worked out... better go for the smoothly-brushed shimmering look like you did with that undercoat. :) that one axle put up quite the fight! XD
    I second that low-tack masking tape sentiment... years ago I painted one of those Revell 1-32 scale trucks with white car paint and everything. let it dry for a week, then masked it off for the second colour. and ripped off nearly all of the white paint with the masking... I never finished the kit, and resold it eventually. I just couldn't anymore.
    spare yourself that frustration.

      Some people pay good money for original tires. I like replacing them all unless they look good.
