Years ago the public may have tried to help the coppers. But I doubt anyone will lift a finger, especially with two tier policing and the heavy handed attitude with indigenous Brits.
The UK police have treated the indigenous British public as the enemy since the start of the scamdemic. And they then expect us to respect them?
Doesn't work like that. Plus once trust has gone, it can NEVER be regained.
At the age of 57 I used to respect the police before the scamdemic. I now HATE and LOATHE them.
But they are someone's son , daughter, father .

This is where life should mean life, with guns and knives, and look at the state of the leadership of the Met police.....

Cumbria police too busy covering up child abuse up there.
Police are now reactive, not pro active as they used to be, we knew our local copper, and respected him as a person. Gone are those days.
The problem is that Sadiq Kahn don't care if your attacked with a bladed weapon in the street, he'll just be very proud that people taking their last gasp won't have to breath in any harmful exhaust emissions.
Blame the pi55 poor turn out at the polling stations by lazy people.
And yet Brown Car Guy has proven there's no change in air quality since the expansion. It's literally an attack on the poor. Nothing less than extortion. Supported by the middle class 😳🙄
London isn’t a good place to be nowadays and Khan doesn’t seem to treat crime as a priority
He is driven around in an armoured, bullet and blast proof Range Rover. I believe he has three of those at his disposal. Now why is that? When Boris was mayor he used to cycle around the capital and Ken Livingstone went around the city in taxis mainly.
His purpose is to start civil unrest. Noone elects him. He is placed.
Folk do not realise just how bad things are in our once great capital. 35 years as a frontline Generic Regulatory Services Officer in London and it is dreadful, horrendous and deeply saddening.

Hi Sam, agree with your sentiments; firearms officers should have been to the fore although I suspect they may have been further away in distance and time than the other officers who bravely tackled the guy and didn't let him escape or wound any more of the public. I think they all deserve a commendation at the very least. Just a quick one from a veteran; 'legging' people with a firearm only happens in video games and films. Unless they are willing to stand very still while you aim at them, you will miss and your rounds will go past them to god knows where, or ricochet off tarmac, concrete etc threatening yourselves and the public. The police are typically armed with 9mm calibre weapons which are sub sonic, so that if they miss the rounds won't smash through walls, cars and so on. Keep doing the videos mate, we are birds of a feather.

Who'd want to be an armed copper? You get no extra pay, no support from management and get thrown to the dogs if you even fire a single round. If a suspect is injured or killed then you will be charged like any other criminal.
You can also see a lot of armed response bodyworn that shows suspects just don't care and are totally unfazed. It just doesn't seem like a deterrent.
The UK is 198th of 203 countries for Gun crime and similar for knife crime. Were one of the safest countries in the world even with knife crime in London skewing the figures.
The majority of crimes that involve a weapon are gang or drug related. Stay clear of drugs and the chances of dying from a knife or gun is almost nonexistent.
I'm a victim of knife crime, moron tried to swing a military knife at my face, blocked it with my arm, managed to disarm him. Attempted mugging.

When i was a kid in the 70's their was a toy shop in Sheffield called redgates . It had a display cabinet full of knifes , all sorts, and sizes, for sale to kids . Nobody was going around stabbing each other . What's changed ?
I went to a small village school that comprised of two classrooms . The headmistress allowed us boys at 7 years old to take a penknife to school for sharpening our pencils . Catapults were confiscated until the end of the school day . This was 1967 - 68 , 40 miles north of London .
SAM , that creature that is running London does not give a damn about knife crime . The Metropolitan Police are not fit for purpose ..... my heart goes out to all those parents who have lost a close one .
The young female cop who tasered the sword man appeared to be the only copper that came forward to tackle him. The others then appeared behind her after he hit the ground and even then seemed wary of approaching and disabling him, yet the young girl stood firm. It's time all our Police are armed and capable of tackling this sort of incident quickly and without hesitation. The trouble is we know where the Police's priorities lie. We only have to look at the huge amounts of money they are spending on DEI nonsensical highly paid positions. What exactly is the point of our Police Force these days, if they are not tackling crime and keeping law and order?
I certainly noticed the reluctance of the other coppers despite ninja boy being taken down, it wouldn't give me confidence if I was in that position 👍👍
@@markwinter8315 One of the male coppers was actually pushing one of his colleagues forward rather than moving in himself and helping his female colleague. I wonder if they realise what being a Police Officer may entail and what they could potentially face on our streets. It is obvious the wrong people are being recruited into the Force.
Sadly we CANNOT arm the enemy. The police have proven they are our enemy. I haven't seen any footage but all credit is due to that brave police woman by the sounds of it. If the police aren't even protecting their own then we really don't need them at all.
Cops make friends with crooks. They don’t care. Tell them about a crime they don’t even investigate it properly then argue that’s it not a crime when it is.

Don't despair Sam we still have one of the lowest stab death rates in the world. Its higher in France, Germany, Sweden even Norway and Finland! Highest is Russia and Brazil and they have high gun deaths too! The figures are based on per 100,000 population. Uk is 0.018. Australia is 0.40. For example. Lovely day in West Yorkshire today! 😊

Im in my early 40s when i was a kid the local police used to be feared im sure they called themselves osu unit or something similar to that my point is they were feared, 6.2 " in hieght an could have a tear up nowadays the police are weak an feeble
Far too slow from the armed officers mate. And this was in London as well. What would the response time be if this had happened in more rural areas?
Don't forget there is meant to be around 100 fire arms officers in London at most.
Some have handed there fire arms back due to risk of being prosecution if something goes wrong.
They would probably say they don't have anyone available to send at the moment! Crime does not appear to be their priority these days, however, if you stood in the street and started attacking someone with hurty words they would no doubt arrive in force in minutes.
They used to have armed response units ready and waiting at strategic points. Croydon for instance. Maybe they don't bother now. We're heading into the worst dystopian disaster film you've ever watched because that's where they tell us what their plans are. We will need to protect ourselves, our families and our homes.

For knife crime we need very strict mandatory consequences, and they should be enforced with zero tolerance, no first offence bs…. build more prisons if that’s what’s needed and deport if necessary.. people deserve to feel safe in their own communities.
It's a created culture via rap music and films, so this is all by design.

I lived in Marseille in my mid to late 20s after studying French at Uni, and also in Lille and Roubaix in Northern France, I like Neil Samworth grew up in Sheffield for part of my childhood, all those cities in France I lived in had issues with knife and gun crime, kids hanging about in the rougher districts selling drugs and getting up to no good, this isnt just a UK thing, in fact Marseille was far worse than any city I have lived in the UK when it came to crime and violence, especially gun crime.

I saw the footage of this,just awful. RIP to that young boy. That young officer went straight for him,she didn't think twice. Those police officers were brave with only tazers and batons against a samurai wielding crazy man. The knife attack here in Australia at Bondi junction it was a young female officer who stopped that man from killing anymore innocent people,but she was armed. I know in the UK police don't carry guns but tazers and batons or even trying to reason with someone in that mindset is useless. He had gone to my local shopping centre first but changed his mind

You can be the best qualified most experienced ex sas trained and then joined police firearms officer in the world but unless gold or silver command give them authority to fire in a situation their hands are tied. The firearms are ornaments.
Then the Police Force needs sorting out from the top down. It seems to have been taken over by graduates seeking good careers with great pension prospects who have never put a foot on the streets and dealt with real crime. Coppers are becoming more like community social workers these days and are fast losing the support and respect of the general law abiding public.
@@amandaduggan9051 that’s EXACTLY what’s happened! Previously you joined as a PC, took the Sgt’s exam, then the inspectors exam to get to the point took about 10yrs then you went on to CI etc etc then the government brought in direct access where graduates could enter direct at Inspector level having NEVER worked the streets or had any experience. This inexperienced inspector could easily be the one deciding to give the firearm officers on the ground permission to arm and permission to fire. If you had no experience and you were put in that permission KNOWING that if you gave the order to fire and a person died you’d be immediately suspended and a full enquiry and possible court case would follow would you give that order? THATS what officers on the street including firearm officers are faced with. It’s unfair to say that officers have no bottle when they know they have no experienced chain of command to support them because inevitably these days no matter what they do the public deem them to be at fault because they are tarred with the same brush as the bad and bent officers that shouldn’t have got in to begin with or should have been sacked years ago!
@@smurfmonster Yes you are so right. There must be many experienced Police in the force who are being told what to do by Inspectors who have never actually dealt directly with crime. They clearly protect their exulted positions by not supporting the officers on the ground when situations go bad. The leadership sucks in our Police Force. Unfortunately, the few coppers trying to do a decent job in our communities are becoming the meat in the sandwich. We used to have a neighbour who was an ex copper and he left because he was so disillusioned with the force when graduates started joining at the level of Inspector trying to tell seasoned officers how to do their jobs whilst never having ever made an arrest or faced a violent criminal themselves. How can this be acceptable. No wonder the Police Force is in such a mess. I also suspect the training new entrants to the force receive needs a serious overhaul.

I'm in the USA 🇺🇸 and there is just guns everywhere I'm in a state that's a little more blue a little more left leaning so there's much less guns but we still have them they are just usually concealed instead of out in the open

The police need better funding and better training. I've got no trust for the police after a bent DC screwed me over after I was assaulted. They're not all like him though, the corruption in the higher ranks needs to be weeded out so the REAL coppers can do their jobs properly.

Terrible the way our country is going, brave cops but the way the law is applied needs to change, without a proper deterrent the innocents will always be at the mercy of truly wicked, I can see capital punishment being brought back right across europe as well as here else there will be no law and order.. as at the moment gangs are at the top of the food chain.

Our police are too soft now, when I was growing up you had respect for the cops but you rarely see any on the beat now. Kids have taken over the streets and it's only going to get worse. 😢
