- full video • TSG POLICE STORM HORSE... The Territorial Support Group (TSG) is a Met Operations unit of London's Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) which specialises in public order policing, amongst other specialist areas.[1] In 2012 it consisted of 793 officers and 29 support staff.[2] The TSG is a uniformed unit of the MPS that replaced the similarly constituted Special Patrol Group in 1987.[1] TSG units patrol the streets of London in marked police vans or "carriers"; using the call sign prefix "Uniform". Generally each carrier has an advanced (police) driver, seven constables and a sergeant. Territorial Support Groups often comprise three carriers, twenty one constables, and three sergeants reporting to an Inspector. They separately patrol designated areas experiencing serious levels of gang violence or disorder. When deployed, it is by the MPS Information Room. Due to the public order nature of their role often numerous carriers will be assigned. TSG officers can be identified as TSG from the distinctive "U" in their shoulder numbers. Some TSG officers are also plainclothes officers, carrying a taser and handcuffs. #horseguardsparade #london #armedpolice #metpolice #thekingsguard #buckinghampalace #armedforces #toweroflondon #troopingthecolour #windsorcastle #thequeensguard #britisharmy #tsgpolice

3:39 Can hear the officer explain that they had a call to assist with a landing of the London Air Ambulance (which you could hear flying over at the start of the video.)
The officers were simply sent for public safety, as the whole area is fine pea shingle, and would not be very nice for anyone standing near by.
Loving some of the dumb comments.
Keep up the great videos.
Thanks for the info
and not good for the helicopter actually. I recall when I was in the Met officers working with helicopters did not have conventional metal shoulder numbers and letters on their shoulders but embroidered in silver.. so they could not fly up and be sucked into the engines of the aircraft. Those of us not directly working with them had to be aware of ours when undertaking duties of facilitating a landing and take off as well. No idea if that has changed or if the helicoptors have changed in any way since then. it was a while ago.
Police 🚓 TORQUAY TOTNES
Was at an outdoor function in BAOR once and somebody had the bright idea of letting a chopper land on a parking area which was full of loose dirt and gravel.
A few Rodneys had dust in their G&Ts.
If you see police officers running towards you as you’re standing there, MOVE!!!
Turn your brains on!
What brains??? You're giving them too much credit...😂😂😂
Reminds me of the old saying: A sergeant moving at full speed easily outranks a stationary major who has no clue...
What a concept 😁
Not too sure I go as far as calling that running 😅 😊. More a slow trot. 😂

Interesting he had to mention the colour of the police.....shame 😢.

"BUSKA"
"What?"
"Leave them alone"
"I'm only gonna film from a distance!" 😂
Nice one, I didn't know about the "U" on their shoulder, so another school day 👍
That's so funny 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 xx
There's a mutual respect there, the copper is saying dont get in there face and buskas like yeah im just gonna get pretty close. No harm no foul
U are the problem too, people's safety isn't content. Only a narcissist runs towards someone you see police running to.
And we all lived happily ever after, that will only be true so long as we continue to have brave Women and Men who are willing to defend us, surely it's not too much to ask that our protectors are properly prepared with the best available kit and a wage that reflects our admiration, appreciation and just how important they are in maintaining our freedom and democracy. Thank you all for your service.
They take two days to respond to burglary calls though.
There was a full scale security alert and some woman carrying a child just stands watching.I would have got out of there as fast as possible 😮😮😮😮😮
That would have been my first thought. Get out of danger, protect my child.
Watch the story on TV.
Seriously long gone, would've been scared**it less. Damn I hate that these drills are more prevalent, however, we carry on..
Nothing to see here, just move on! Stop making a crisis out of something ordinary.
"Get out of there, man!" - was my response on seeing this person carrying their child. What were they thinking?! Well, obviously they weren't thinking!
Wasn't a security alert.
Nice to see the system in action even if it was a training exercise, and in reality no-one would be informed in reality. 👍
Who nicked the HARÌBO'S
What a beautiful horse!
If this had been real, the public got in the way and didn't leave the area. You know the lemmings would all just be looking around with vacant expressions and whatever happened would happen to them!!
Lemmings 😂
Still had my heart in my mouth, training exercise or not! I have bad memories of what can happen. wish nothing but total safety for the Horses & Guards, plus of course the public.
I'm with you there,horrible memories
I'm sorry I guess I don't understand,what bad memories?
@@joanlovelace7338 20th July 1982, IRA Coward detonated a bomb packed with nails in a car parked on The South Carriageway just as the relief guard of Blues and Royals were passing on their way to Horse Guards. 4 men and 7 horses were killed, there were horrendous injuries and far reaching repercussions. Google it, not nice
@@joanlovelace7338 a couple of hours after that another bomb was detonated under The Bandstand in Regents Park, it killed 6 Royal Green Jackets Bandsmen on the spot, another died later. Many bandsmen and civilians who were watching also had horrendous injuries.
This is why I don’t like to see any soldiers name or other personal info talked about on social media.
And those two bombs are mere illustrations, there were more.
@@joanlovelace7338 oh, and also, not only do we have to worry about terrorist groups we also need to look out for ‘Lone Wolf’ attacks and the plain insane, such as the knife attack at Horse Guards early 2022

Apparently someone was carrying an english flag
😅
Wouldn't be surprised lol 😂
The Cross of St. GEORGE or the flag of the union .

American here. Would someone mind telling me why that is a bad thing?
Pity you don't get that response when you phone up and say your house is been burgled
Just say you ''THINK'' Tommy Robinson is in the garden
Thats because we dont have enough cops to cover life and death situations so a burglery means nothing. Blame our Government
Tell them that the burglar posted an offensive tweet.
Well you wouldn't want or need that response just for that
Ours got to our false burglary alarm within seconds, you can’t just expect them to teleport mate.
0:10 That sound was the London Air Ambulance helicopter (MD902) flying overhead.
And then at 3:35 the police officer apologises and says it was because they needed to land the air ambulance
He actually called buska by his name 😀👍💪
Wow never expected to see this buska thank you xxxx hope all ok
Glad u ignored and went and had a look 😂 the tourists slowly walking across the road with no care in the world 😅😅
Scenes like this will become the norm as London continues it's sad decline 😞. Pre 2000 London was the best.
1940 not so much
Yep, and thousands of sleeper cells in hotels across the UK .
Sadly, not just London 😞
I still remember late 1950s London, stinky with all the smog, but peaceful and friendly........well unless you strayed into certain Bethnal Green pubs, or Souf of the river😂😂
they reckon many people of London were actually having a ball during the 'Blitz' and were ultimately not taking the situation as serious as their masters wanted, hence the iron railings etc. being removed etc. They reckon the 'underground' make shift bunkers were resembling a party atmosphere at times, with birth rate increasing. Many people got very rich from the war. @@amadeusendymion1272

History tells us that Training exercises usually happen prior to a major incident
Spot On
That or shutting the door after the horse has bolted.
Living where I do, within 3 miles of main Training area of Salisbury Plain, I disagree, Training exercises are a regular occurrence! OK London is different, they don't usually have them when it might alarm the tourists, but it's a quiet tourist time at the moment, So?
@@lesleyhawes6895 same here in Staffordshire constantly training all over that much goes on.
Name one incident.
That was their exercise for the day then.
Security alert and the armed cop watches all unarmed cops run in🤣
Diiferent police forces. The armed is MoD Police, the new ones Metropolitan Police.
@JC-gl7ee They're not part of the MET, 'PaPD' or Parliamentary protection which you're probably referring to are not seen here and protect the sites like downing street down the road, but the armed cops you see here a MoD constables. The unarmed police running in are territorial support group and is part of the MET.
The public shouldn't be anywhere near the horse guards. Something nasty will happen one day.
It already did.
So these are the elite of the Met? God help us.
Yeah what a slovenly unkempt bunch how any of them passed a fitness test makes the mind boggle
Those are just the ones you see and hear about, its the ones you don't see or hear about that people should be worried about
Elite of the met is ctsfo
Striking fear into the heart of absolutely no one
😂😂
C'mon now. They could all blow their whistles at once and it would hurt the bad guys' ears.
Nor are they meant to. Why would we want a police service that intends to frighten us? Especially when they're assisting an air ambulance landing as the video depicts.
As a U.S. citizen it's hard to get used to unarmed police as the norm. Every cop I know carries 2 guns, extra ammo, and a knife. Most police vehicles have additional weapons: shotgun, rifle, less-lethal (bean bag shooter or a nerf-like missile designed to knock a target down without injury).
In Texas, we don’t call 911.
@@kathleenyoung769 same in AZ. Now I'm in MA, fewer visible guns. Not necessarily fewer gun owners.

Setting up the landing zone for an air ambulance, you have to clear people out. For their safety, and assure the patient being airlifted is prioritized.
I though they were there for you Buska! Thought you might of got into an altercation with a tourist 😂
I’m not sure of what his title would be. But I would be sure to my appreciation for his attentiveness to his duties.

Did they run past the Hooties thinking that Tommy showed up in London? Just wondering!
Looks like a fitness test turned out to be a fatness test
imagine arriving at teh scene and not one police officer is ready to go straight to action all look so disorganised putting them vests on running like rugby balls
Probably because they weren't.
They were sent there to clear space for an air ambulance to land. In those kind of calls, it tends to be a last minute decision, so they probably had little time to prepare, and had to rush back to their appropriate vans quickly to respond.
A copper saw a tweet saying there was a doughnut vendor giving a 2 for 1 offer 'while stocks last' they all came running sorry walking as fast as their fat arses could move.
Many do not realise that it is possible to attack the rear of Downing Street from the HG Parade.

Looks like somebody may have posted a hateful meme from that location !
Would it take long to re edit but put the benny hill theme on top?
Filed under "what if they threw a riot and no one showed up".
You're telling me that this was a training exercise?!! It just demonstrates the Metropolitan police failure to notify the ARMED DPG teams on site not to mention the fact that they have just blasted through a military protected site with no clear information as to what they were doing! Oh! And ... what about the members of the public?!!!
THAT WAS AN ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES BY THE MET. The Mod and Met should be having a very heated meeting after that disgraceful performance
No, they needed them to clear the Horse Guard's Parade for an Air Ambulance that needed somewhere to land. You can hear one of the Armed officers standing there mention it.
Horse Guard's Parade is made up of a lot of tiny pieces of shingle and stones. If an Air Ambulance landed there without a large police cordon, it'd cause a lot of people some hurt.
I wonder who is fighting crime?
Call the police to protect the army! Sounds wokingly correct.

I agree with horse guards. Do not get close to horses or touch them. They need to establish a perimeter around horse guard of maybe a meter!
It was a response time training exercise.
No TV licence
Pity there isn't any police serving the rest of the country. They don't want to know or turn up to crime anywhere else just give you a crime number joke
You can blame years of Tory cuts for that.
They cut and cut the police budget, then act surprised when the police don't have enough resources to respond to crime.
"We have a migrant problem"
Okay, maybe try increasing the budget for Border Force instead of slashing it for the 6th time this month.. so they can actually afford ships to patrol with.. I don't know, just a thought Mr. Sunak.
Perhaps a Training exercise??? (to test response time?)
