- Hello guys, and welcome to a boss and loot guide to the Classic World of Warcraft world boss Azuregos which will be released with phase 2 on the 12th of November this month.
Today's video will be split in two parts. First, I talk about the fight with Azuregos himself, his abilities, how to play around them and what to expect generally. Hopefully, this part should give you all the relevant information you feel like you need to defeat the powerful, magical blue dragon.
In the second part I go over four of the best item drops from Azuregos, in my opinion. The purpose of this is to highlight some cool pieces of gear, and show why you would want to spend time trying to slay Azuregos in the first place.
Personally, I really enjoy world bosses and look forward to seeing them in Classic. I hope to - once again - be involved in some of the epic-scale PvP battles around them - battles that I have been fortunate enough to experience on previous servers I have played on.

We had a guildy raise the battle horn and i preceded to summon 2 guilds worth of members (OP Warlock) to Ashara, ONLY TO FIND A SPIRIT OF AZUREGOS AND NOT THE REAL AZUREGOS!!

I remember doing this dragon and the green one in duskwood as alliance back in vanilla as an alliance rogue. Never got any loot, guilds always had a lowbie alt stationed at the spawn points I remember.
Awesome man! Yeah, some guilds do all in their power to maximize their chances of getting a world boss kill. Personally, I'm not willing to wake up in the middle of the night to go fight a big dragon in WoW, but I understand why people would :D
As a healer, I generally like to take mp5 over spell power, but damn that's a real solid increase
I don't play a healer so I don't have much knowledge of the topic. I was comparing Briarwood Reed to Mindtap Talisman to get sort of an idea of how Blizzard valued the different stats back then, but then again Briarwood gives both +healing and +damage, so it's a bit different.
I guess it depends a lot on the specific encounter as well and its length. Would you prefer the Hat or Crown?
@@moegdalswowvideos6800 it depends on the encounter really. For short fights where you have to mainly AoE heal, I'd always pick the stronger healing item, so the Crown in this case. For endurance fights however, you need to manage your resources more, so Hat it is

Even on private with 400 people connected it was a nightmare to do it
cant imagine on classic, this boss will die sneaky at 3h00 of the morning by hardcore players

Azuregos has 700,000 HP. This is about 1/2 of Onyxia's HP. Expect this fight to be about 5 minutes with a well geared raid group (definitely not 30 minutes). Provided you have no outside interference.

Sorry, I don't know how they got up there - maybe by using the priest spell "Levitate". I believe it allows you to walk on the side of hills/cliffs and stuff like that.

11 mp5 + more stats for 20+ healing. You people are sick in the head. Go to church. Wake up.
The only thing I say in the video is that I'm not quite sure trading the 28 healing power for 11 mp5 is worth it - I make no definitive statement. I'm not a healer so I wouldn't know for sure. I can see how the mp5 can be very powerful for longer, extended raid encounters.
It's pronounced "Azure-gos", not "Ah-sure-a-gos"
I don't know where I heard or why I say "Ah-sure-a-gos". I did pronounce the Azuresong Mageblade correctly to my credit :D
