What a great bunch the Classic 350 reborn folks are. Thanks for filming. I've watched everyones video now of doing this upgrade and each one helps anyone thinking of doing this themselves.
I’ve now watched Hitchcock’s, Ian’s and your cam installation, along with Glyn’s clutch cover, got a new little torque wrench and all the bits, ready to join the party 😊. That final scene of you riding down the lane made me smile. Well done, another masterpiece video. Looking forward to plenty of grins in the next one!
Thank you dezmond 😁 the cam fitting was actually ok it was all the other faff esp the RH clutch casing that took the time to do but we did it! 😜😁👍👍 Cheers Bruce
I did the same with my Hunter 350 , DNA air filter , Hitchcock Kent camshaft , got rid of the catalytic converter , and put a Enfield precicion free flow silencer on from Hitchcock ( plus baffle! , work better! and does not make the neighbors angry 😇. The bike runs much better , much quicker if needed for overtaking ( safer ) , sounds better , top speed plus minus 130 km and use a little bit more fuel but that also depens how you ride it , . 😁 . these changes are totally worth it , i love my Hunter 350 this bike is fun fun fun . and i love my Interceptor 650 too this bike is fun fun and faster ,lol ... Hello from Australia !!!👍 ( good video mate !)
@@Coastriderscotland certainly easy to follow and will be watching it when I do mine interesting bit about the tappets and locking tool at end of your video will make sure they seat properley Cheers jase
Well done Bruce.👍I watched the video with great interest and will save it in my library. It's good that people come forward to help when a job gets a little tricky. Like minded people and Royal Enfield community spirit.👍looking forward to your next video when you get the bike on the road and give it some beans 😊. Cheers Carl.
Just what we've been waiting for. A really good instructional video with a lot of tips, e.g. don't drop the bolt in the engine! When I do mine I may fill the gap with a bit of bubble wrap, as I'm quite clumsy.
Hi Bruce I’m very bad, something I didn’t tell anyone. I also had a little trouble fitting my clutch cover, figured it out in about 10 minutes thought 🤣 Hope you’re enjoying the extra performance. Thanks for mentioning my channel 👍 TN
Hi Ian, real happy with the bike now! 😁👍 better now for local hill roads, tour film of this job was my inspiration to attempt this myself so a big thank you to you 😁👍👍👍 Oh that clutch cover though had me stumped! 🧐🤣🤣🤣
A good clear video Bruce, I did mine last year and haven’t regretted it at all. One thing you didn’t mention is that the four rocker retaining bolts need to be replaced with new bolts (Hitchcocks have them in stock) as they are single use only. If you put the old ones back in they can work loose.
Thank you Simon, its quite hard to film while concentrating what your doing and esp when having an engine opened up and for once i was very serious! 🤣🤣🤣😁👍
Did anyone else fast forward to the "putting on the clutch cover???"🤣 Nice job though, Bruce!! when I saw the cover going on, I wanted to shout "MCAULISH!!!""
Great film Bruce!! That's really helpful to me, I'm fitting my cam this week and I hadn't thought about the camchain direction tension, will have to watch out for that. I'm terrible at dropping things too so will have to carefully count all the bits or I'll be in shtuck. It sounds really good, and revvy, can't wait to see the ride film, do they recommend a running in period? Yours and Tigerness' films are so good I'll have to think of a unique angle for mine, I'm sure something will happen 👍Glad it all worked out for you
Three things I take away from this one Bruce...#1 what a great bunch of folk own these bikes. #2 that euphoric feeling when you finally solve a problem that was making your head hurt. #3 that final clip of you ripping down the road , giving it the berries! You simply can't do that on a 140 bhp "naughty boy" bike, and that's why these Classic 350's are such brilliant fun. 😊
Thanks Bruce, that again was a good informative vid, I like your humour, so next time time lamps out and quarter mile markers, then some timed trails😂, love it and thank you to all Bay Bimbler
Thanks ted, its not the easiest thing to film doing maintenance films without someone holding the camera, so good if folk find the film useful to do this themselves 😁👍 Cheers Bruce
Thanks Colin, I readjusted the tappets next day and real quiet now, it hits the rev limiter in 1,2,3 real easy! 🤣 Thanks again for the loan of the torque wrench 😁👍
Glad to see you sorted the cover out, on your video at 26 minutes 33 seconds it looks like the lower forkleg is bent back, noticed there's damage on your crash bars on that side, or is it an optical illusion,
Just another one. I'm happy with the seventy-ish mile per hour limit on my Classic. However I quite often struggle to get up to that, at lease on the few roads that warrant 60 -70. It's true that I have quite a large lard content and maybe that's the main problem. But it would be good the know how the new cam performs at the upper end.
It will deft be better at what you want in top gear, like yourself happy with the top speed as it wont blow up with the rev and top speed limiter! It pulls better on hills now as you will see in the next film on Friday 😁👍👍
Great video, but most of all I would like to see how you released the fuel tank, its got hoses and plugs all over the place underneath. Also what hp and torque increase do Hitchcocks claim ?
Hi i have done the tank removal in several maintenance films, sesrch through my Classic 350 Playlist fir service films, The first few times you remove them it seems hard until the fuel connector pipe has been disconnected/re connected a few times, Cheers Bruce
