It felt hollow, unearned... to the point that upon hearing that Mario survived... he almost jumped out of his shell in joy, for now he'll have another chance to defeat Mario in a fair match. But, Mario will have to get stronger, so he'll no doubt be searching for the Seven Star Sprites to get to his level so that he could defeat Mario fair and square. Then, after Bowser Jr was born... things began to change. Now, he had a kid to take care of... To set a good example for, even if he wants Bowser Jr to take his place when he grows up... and after encountering many threats that endangered not just the Mushroom Kingdom, but his own kingdom as well, Bowser secretly changed his true goal with his schemes. No longer are his schemes entirely selfish. He doesn't care about taking over the world anymore. He cares about his son. Mario is the hero, and he's the villain. So, he'll play that role so that Mario can always be ready and in tiptop shape for whatever threat may come into their world, for Bowser knows that as long as Mario is as strong and capable as can be, that's an extra layer of protection between his son and whatever worldly danger that may threaten their world.

To the point where they are willing to save their archenemy from another villain to then take them down themselves, because they arguably deserve to defeat them considering the vast history between them.
"If you're going to beat him, you're going to do it RIGHT. Otherwise you're not a Villain, you're just evil. And ANYONE can be evil. Don't make it about just winning, make it about winning YOUR way."

We need more moments like this in canon for villains and rivals. Closest i remember was Eggman getting mad that someone working for him almost killed sonic, saying he could nuke him and destroy him at any moment he wanted but he WANTS to beat him fair and square to prove hes superior
I have that comic! Starline the platypus fan boy tries to blow Sonic up for Eggman to prove is worth, and Eggman got ticked off, cause, like you said, he could easily blow him up any time he wants, but that's now how he wants to win!
I like to imagine Bowser hand delivers Mario to Peach's doorstep and is like "here's your dumb plumber... I'll be back for you after he recovered" and just leaves
This Is Amazing! Iook At Bowser despite him being Mario’s arch Nemesis you Can Tell There Is some Good in Him and he Only Want To be the only to defeat Him, Bowser is just Amazing
Thats what part makes Bowser such a great villian is the fact he’s evil, always will be but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a heart. Thinking about it they both are in a similar situation, both have a kingdom full of people waiting for their return in this case Mario with Peach, Luigi and Yoshi and Bowser with Kamek, Jr and the Koopalings. If Mario dies by Bowser at least they’ll be able to see it because there is a greater pain of just waiting…and waiting…and waiting hoping they come back with a slow ache rising trying to deny the real possibility they’re not coming home ever again and in this case I think he knows that
don't forget, Bowser has literally died numerous times. Once in New Soup ds in WORLD 1 CASTLE, only to be brought back in World 8 castle via a magic pot as Dry Bowser. Revived by Kamek in Soup Wii in 8-bowser, but returning giant and with his skin. And in Galaxy via, a super black hole destroying the whole universe
I love how this shows how Bowser isn’t heartless. He’s more than just a monster he’s a king to his people, a father for junior and the Koopalings and is a far better rival to Mario than Wario ever will be. A foe who wants to win fair and square is something that can attract your attention if written right
The thing that really sells how much Bowser cares is that he's walking through a blizzard. Bowser is a REPTILE. Literally cold-blooded. He can freeze faster that Mario can.
this really does cover Bowser so well though... just look at the ending of Bowser's Inside Story and how just before the final fight, he commends Dark Bowser and says he's impressed by the whole dark hurricane before saying that he won't let the kingdom vanish because it belongs to him, and that Dark Bowser will be the one to vanish instead... he doubles down on how he's not a hero, but is doing the right thing for his own purposes
That is what makes a good Villian. When conditions are fair for both sides and when they can say they did it themselves not by outside causes. Mad respect.
Something similar to this actually happened in the Archie Sonic comics. Sonic and Eggman had to team up against a common threat and after they stopped it, the Acorn Kingdom's defenses were heavily damaged and Eggman's fleet was in prime striking position. Sonic looked at Eggman and expected him to attack, but Eggman just left, saying that when he takes Sonic and the kingdom down, it won't be because of a technicality and told him to make sure everything was ready for him when the time came. He wanted his victory to be asterisk free.
This comic warmed my heart, but also can we appreciate the voice acting?? That voice was amazing for Bowser!! It made me feel so warm, the begrudging care that you could hear in the voice. Well done!!
Makes sense, I never really saw Bowser as a killer. At least, not like this and not when it’s someone personal to him, or someone he has a respect and admiration for. Maybe he does want him to die, but on his terms, no one else’s. He may be a villain whose done many terrible things, but he’s not pure evil.
It reminds of the line The Joker once said in Batman The Animated Series: Without Batman, crime has no punchline. Without heroes, what's the point of being a villain then? Some villains just can't live without the heroes trying to stop them.
Best early Christmas gift EVER!! This was most amazing video I've ever seen. Bowser may be a villain but at least he has a heart, there's no way in mushrooms kingdom's name that he will not let his enemy die like this. He respected Mario and he fights a lot with him as two enemies in the same battle ring. Even so he never show it but he cares, he cares for his well being and he's taking him back to the mushrooms Kingdom so Mario can recover then he can fight. Now this is what enemy like Browser is all about! ^^✨️✨️✨️✨️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
Yo this reminds me of a fake scenario I wrote like a year ago. It’s about Bowser casually on a beach cause he heard something then he finds what he’s looking for but two bandits are like “bro that’s ours” and Bowser’s like “not today” and they fight and he nearly died but he survives and he’s like “dang”
Bowser is that comical villain where his stuff can work but always has a means of being destoyed. had images saved where bowser was an actor with everyone else and people only saw him as his role “the villian” while mario and friends knew what he actually was like and would keep him smiling when life got him down

"Without batman, crime has no punch line"
We need more moments like this in canon for villains and rivals. Closest i remember was Eggman getting mad that someone working for him almost killed sonic, saying he could nuke him and destroy him at any moment he wanted but he WANTS to beat him fair and square to prove hes superior
I have that comic! Starline the platypus fan boy tries to blow Sonic up for Eggman to prove is worth, and Eggman got ticked off, cause, like you said, he could easily blow him up any time he wants, but that's now how he wants to win!
Bowser really went: "Defeating you like this has no meaning."
Great job on the voice acting. Can't wait to see the next part of the story.
I like to imagine Bowser hand delivers Mario to Peach's doorstep and is like "here's your dumb plumber... I'll be back for you after he recovered" and just leaves
That voice was incredible for Bowser, A+!
"I'm a villain, not a monster"
I remembered that exact phrase...
"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."
Is that an Epic reference I see? 👀
“You know what they say… keep your enemies close, and they’ll start to change you…”
I love how Bowser sounds like John Goodman, helps set the mood of the scene
Holy shit your right!
Can we just appreciate the pacing here?
It's okay to have decent beats of silence now and again.
Very nice.
“Without Mario. Conquest has no punchline”
This Is Amazing! Iook At Bowser despite him being Mario’s arch Nemesis you Can Tell There Is some Good in Him and he Only Want To be the only to defeat Him, Bowser is just Amazing
Eggman and Bowser have similar mentalities, they both must be the one who kills their nemesis.
Bowser maybe a villain, but he has a sense of honor
“I will not let this weather kill you Mario”
“I will not let you burn here Bowser, come one! Take my hand!”
If Mario dies by Bowser at least they’ll be able to see it because there is a greater pain of just waiting…and waiting…and waiting hoping they come back with a slow ache rising trying to deny the real possibility they’re not coming home ever again and in this case I think he knows that
Good analogy 🤔
Considering Bowser didn't have parents growing up I can see him 100% taking this stance
don't forget, Bowser has literally died numerous times.
This was a triumph
I'm making a note here: Huge success
It's hard to overstate my satisfaction
Aperture Science
I love how this shows how Bowser isn’t heartless. He’s more than just a monster he’s a king to his people, a father for junior and the Koopalings and is a far better rival to Mario than Wario ever will be. A foe who wants to win fair and square is something that can attract your attention if written right
As wholesome as this is, Can't bro just breath fire? In fact can't Mario just shoot fireballs
iirc, when your body changes temperature almost instantly, it's very dangerous, maybe even fatal
@@Psi-9_AbyssGazers what about the sheer quantity of ICE levels that mario has been through completely fine
@gadlygamer oh. well, skill issue ig
He can shoot fireballs but only with the fire power
Forget that, bro can be in fricking outter space.
Bowser casually being a true chad and saving Mario for the sake of having the chance to destory him by his hands aww 😂❤
Love your Bowser voice
I don't know why I was recommended this, it's not in my wheel house at all. That said, your skills are obvious. Well done. 👏
Good to see you are recovering well bro. We've missed you.
The thing that really sells how much Bowser cares is that he's walking through a blizzard.
Bowser is a REPTILE. Literally cold-blooded. He can freeze faster that Mario can.
Nice ❤ but literally bowser calling Mario pipsqueak is what my sis calls me 😂
That's a damn good Bowser voice, like real damn good
this really does cover Bowser so well though... just look at the ending of Bowser's Inside Story and how just before the final fight, he commends Dark Bowser and says he's impressed by the whole dark hurricane before saying that he won't let the kingdom vanish because it belongs to him, and that Dark Bowser will be the one to vanish instead... he doubles down on how he's not a hero, but is doing the right thing for his own purposes
That is what makes a good Villian.
When conditions are fair for both sides and when they can say they did it themselves not by outside causes.
Mad respect.
Just because Bowser is the bad guy doesn't mean he's a "bad guy".
Wreck it Ralph reference
Well done!!
This is a great voice for Bowser. Honestly probably the best I've heard, including official ones.
Absolute masterpiece
Recommended to me. Tried to resist at first but gave in and was not disappointed
Awwww bowser even he is a evil, mean, tyrant and hot headed king of Koopas he helps his arch rival not bad bowsie thanks for saving mario ❤👍🏻
The hero of the story can't die, and even if Mario did he would be hailed as a hero by the Mushroom people. That's something Bowser can't afford😂
I never knew how much I needed to see a stoic Bowser until now.
I love the art.
Also I feel a sudden urge to hug bowser like 1 second after seeing him, lol.
Anyway, cool to see they care about each other, kinda.
"I am a villain, not a monster."
-probably Bowser
I love how Bowser and Mario have that Batman/Joker relationship. Without one, the other simply can't exist.
That reminds me of Kai carrying Oogway for days after he was greatly injured.
Exactly what I was thinking, it looks just like that
Now that's what I call being a loyal enemy.
This scene of Bowser carrying Mario in the snow really remembers me of Kai carrying an injured Oogway in Kung Fu Panda 3
Omg I really felt the emotions from Bowser 😮 your impression is spot on as well! I'm looking forward to more videos from you, you got a new sub!
Browser is so sweet, saving Mario like that. Really, it's so sweet!❤
OMG The voice you did for Bowser is so deep yet so calm and wholesome. ❤I love it
“You are Bad Guy… but this does not mean you are bad guy.”
-Zangeif, from Wreck it Ralph
Bowser could have easily ended this cycle with him and Mario
but he refused
"Who am I gonna fight now?! Who am I gonna fight?! You're suppose to be here... (sob) For me." ~Kuwabara
Man...
Now that's something unforgettable. And amazing.
"If you die to this cold who is going to see me win against you!"
“Nothing else will take my enemies down. Only me.”
-Bowser
The fact that I got the “The Reason We Fight” dub video on my recommended on the side of this video says a lot.
Bowser: Mario, let's keep this between us.
Yes, he's cold-blooded, and literally cold-blooded, but he's magic.
🎶Ah ah ah, stayin alive, stayin alive🎶
Like the Sniper always says:
*”Professionals have standards.”*
Bowser is that comical villain where his stuff can work but always has a means of being destoyed. had images saved where bowser was an actor with everyone else and people only saw him as his role “the villian” while mario and friends knew what he actually was like and would keep him smiling when life got him down
That was a really awesome comic dub. Awesome work!
Golly as if I didn’t already like Bowser an unhealthy amount already. I love him that much more now, thanks haha
Absolutely love this! 🩶
That is literally the words "I'm a villain not a monster" moment
"Without Batman, Crime has no Punchline."
- The Joker
That voice is perfect
Bowser without Mario is like The Joker without Batman, it just isn't the same without em. (this coming from someone who isn't at all in the dc fandom)
Aw He does care
The honor of bowser shows he doesn’t want to win by default
This is so wholesome. ❤️❤️❤️
