    Quick tip, use a spray can lid or the bottom 2 inches or so of a plastic bottle as a little cup, pour a drop of engine oil into it (or drill lubricant) and use it to dip the drill bit into when drilling through metal. Will make your drill bits last a lot longer.

    You DO realize on that second bolt 5:22 all you had to do was open the door and fold the seat down to put the nut on the inside. Lol

    A video on how to notch fender flares and other forms of plastic, and maybe even some plastic welding, would be nice.

    I don't get it, these are made to protect quarter panels but you have to destroy your quarter panels to install them?

    • @CheetoTheCat
      @CheetoTheCat 7 лет назад +4

      Chris Davis, yeah I'm trying to understand why I should drill a bunch of holes in the side of my Cherokee, which has zero rust on it, but certainly will develop rust after drilling a bunch of holes in the side. I don't get it. What am I missing?

      Trees wont kill it. Chances are if you do this youre hitting the trails a lot

      the protection kit, in my opinion, was born to make the body for more time, not to keep it original. if you want to keep it original you do not, sorry for my bad language

    • @hotshtsr20
      @hotshtsr20 6 лет назад +1

      Some of us have already destroyed our quarterpanels. This makes it look as good as, or better than stock (if armor is your thing) and will likely stay that way.
      Or, if you know you're going to wreck them anyway, you could install these ahead of time.

    Drilling all those holes in that beautiful rust free cherokee... I almost couldn't watch. In the end it looked great though, you have been redeemed, nice job.

    using a step or unibit drill bit will help save your sheet metal.

    • @hotshtsr20
      @hotshtsr20 6 лет назад

      And probably drill out the holes in your armor to the next size up in the process. :)

  • @brandon2161

    Personally I like the rustys off-road kit it comes with a fender flair already on the quarter panel so it's one big piece

    • @mredge136
      @mredge136 7 лет назад

      Brandon, I agree. But, I like how the JCR kit integrates the LED tail light assemblies that Rusty's does not offer. If anybody knows of a kit that offers the fender flares, LED tail lights and coffin bars in one. Please let me know.
