@@brendanhart517 Oh they had a few others too, Neil deGrasse Tyson and there was even someone supposedly representing Stephen Hawking but I doubt it was actually him.
I was so happy the writers had her end up with Rodney instead of Ronon. Jewel Staite always played quirky characters and Keller fit much better with Rodney.
Well Sheppard is a born leader and a soldier, he can't have a luxury of not being heroic, most of the time the team depends on it. Rodney in other hand. He was a cunt. And he changed a lot in the years of the pegasus expedition. By the way... Sheppard have no reason to be jealous... Ancient women always found him attractive. :)
Honestly sheppard was never a good leader and not much of a hero either. In many episodes his people died due to his bad leadership and he didn't seem to care about that at all. He was also far too impulsive constantly
To be fair tho. It was usually Rodney who came up with the plan that saved the day. He blew up ships, planets even 5/6 of a solar system :D That and his funny behavior is the reason why he's my favorite.
Technically Rodney McKay saved Jennifer Keller twice. In the episode The Last Man Jennifer Keller dies due to the Hoffan Drug and Rodney saves Jennifer by bringing John Sheppard back 48,000 years through time and the second time is during this episode Brain Storm.
"You're smarter than me." "You're right. So you get the axe and mindlessly hit the slab of wood. I am going to save all our lives." Stop trying to fit square pegs in round holes. Heroes come in all shapes.
I don't think Tunny was saying he was smarter than him because he went to save his girlfriend. He was admitting he was smarter because Tunny didn't think he could do it and needed rodneys smarts to help save them all. Rodney was admitting he was smarter than tunny because its factual.
@@ShineyFX You missed the point entirely -- I'm criticizing the writing. Rodney is the smarter of them. The best chance for any of them to get out alive was for Rodney to be the man at the computer. Instead, he handed that position to the idiot that started the madness in the first place and went off to chop down a door with an axe. Doing this put his girlfriend and EVERYONE ELSE in more danger, but he did it because the writers needed the protagonist to look like a hero in the episode's climax.
@@markser1000 Yes. I seriously doubt I would be ABLE to be otherwise. The emotions can wait until after the crisis, now is the time to do whatever it is that needs to be done. I've felt that emotional shutdown more often than I'd like -- the clarity is useful but the circumstances suck.
The Mackay Keller relationship was one more interesting human aspect that could have been more fully explored if the Stargate series had not been canceled. Perhaps even a domestic dramedy spinoff could have been created titled Stargate-The MacKays where the domestic bliss and marital complications of Rodney and Jennifer could be displayed alongside the ongoing problematic personal lives of characters such as Samantha Carter and Daniel Jackson, as well as hosting interesting house guests including Todd the Wraith, a still hyper LT Ford, and a still partially undomesticated Ronan Dex.
lol Bill Nye "Man Up"
Oh the irony
I had never even noticed he was there until I jsut watched this clip
McKay: "Dificult takes a few seconds. Impossible, a few minutes."
Bill Nye in the back: "WTF?!"
wait I didn't even realise Bill Nye was in this episode before reading this comment (and then seeing them)

The most aggressive Canadian man in existence
Nice to see McKay being Kirk for a change :)
When the wheelhous is brains, not brawn, THEN all in!
I've seen that look before, KIRK!
Rodney hit Sheppard level heroism for a few mins an got the girl

I'm in the minority in that I like Rodney. I'm probably alone in that he's my favorite character.
Rodeny just won the favorite character poll series on the Stargate sub reddit.
My IRL partner is remarkably similar and I'm not sure it's a coincidence.

There is movie with McKay and his sister, forgot its name, I think it was Dog something.

Nah, writers are so unoriginal with new relationships. All you'd have gotten is several "break-up & reconcile" episodes.

True. Even ppl without uni can save us from covid etc, just they need support.
