That's the thing, I don't remember _seeing_ the change. He was introduced in SG1 as an insufferable, grossly misogynistic jerk, and then brought back as a regular in Atlantis, suddenly much more likable and nicer to women. Whatever character development he went through happened offscreen.

Didn't cure the ass part and didn't stop him from evaluating his intellect as exceedingly high. But it seems to have righted one of his preconceptions.

Rodney can be an arrogant twit but he still deals with his own low self esteem and you can tell in 1:32 that Keller is sympathetic to that. Let's be honest, she was really the guiding force in the relationship. Rodney didn't pick up on all her flirting in 'Trio' until she verbally slapped him with a "Boy, take me out for a damn drink!" I love Ronan but it's nice to see the geek get the girl. It was a good milestone in Rodney's evolution as a character.

Because they're actresses. Typically, women who want to pursue an acting career don't get very far unless they're attractive as that's a significant factor when casting. Roles that call for plainer looking individuals are few and far between. This leaves regular looking women with great difficulty building a resumé. Haven't you ever noticed in movies and TV when a character is supposed to be ugly, that the actress playing the part is not in any shape or form ugly? That's because they simply couldn't find an experienced actress who is.
Love that he found some redemption after Dr. Katie Brown (who loved him, even with all his flaws). That was such a sad, and stupid breakup. But... on the other hand, I would have liked to see Ronan and Keller together.

SG-1 takes place on Earth/in the milky way. SG: Atlantis takes place in a neighboring galaxy, SG; Universe takes place on a ship that travels between various galaxies. They have various crossovers.
Stargate Sg1 is the original. Stargate Atlantis starts about..... halfway through the story. Characters from both appear regularly in the other show, as they are literally happening around the same time Nobody talks about SG Universe... just, no-one
They have strict protocols against banging other colleagues in all such things and this would've been grounds for immediate dismissal for both from the mission in reality

That is actually what prevented an O'Neill + Carter relationship, they only happened in alternate realities where Carter was not in the military. These two are civilians so yeah, have fun. Besides they are in another galaxy who cares? Nobody cared about Geneva convention and such for example.

Well Rodney is more of a soft and quiet personality, well if you take away the ego which has been improved. They are great together and you can tell because of how vulnerable he acts.
It was nice watching Rodney grow from a rude pervert on SG-1 obsessing over Carter to a genuinely good guy that awkwardly courts Keller.
