my grandpa fought the british in africa, like him his company was made up of mostly conscript and hated the fascist nearly as much as the nazi but had to go none the less... he was made prisoner and interned in the UK. he always had a kind words for the British as he was treated with respect and humanity. he was a bersagliere (the big flowy black plume on the helmet assault corps)
