Thanks. You're the only other person I've come across who uses extrude cut with draft that way. I find it much more satisfying than faffing around with rotated cuts, especially in cases where the hex corners do not lie on a construction plane. I also use extrude cut with draft to create the conical end left by the drill point at the bottom of holes, where hole wizard does not suit my purpose. Interestingly, provided the extrusion depth specified is in excess of the actual distance to the vertex of the cone, the feature works as if it had been specified exactly right. One other minor comment: Gotta love metric threads! The chamfer height of 0.75mm, as you point out, is half of the Major dia - Minor dia. But we don't have to look up the minor diameters and do the subtraction, because the Major dia - Minor dia is equal to the pitch. (M8 x) *1.5 * This is true for all 60 degree threads, (eg UNF, UNC etc) ... but for inch sizes, the pitch is a horrible number, even in inch units.
