It must be an optical illusion, the amount of fill seems greater than the amount from the cuts. Great video, Jon! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you and yours!
Another amazing video. 👍 I am surprised they plan on closing US 77 to set the girders over the east lanes. I figured they'd set the west side of the bridge since no traffic would be affected and finish the lanes underneath, then set the east side when traffic was swapped over to the west lanes.
Tourists may not know this exists if no Nebraska locals informed them, most people of people that live in the Midwest know about it or eventually, but google maps takes forever to update the maps in past years, but it’s turn that cannot be missed if you intended to use the beltway.
What will the traffic flow be for those leaving Lincoln via the current highway 2 heading towards Nebraska City when they get to the 120th street intersection? It looks like they will start the curve for 120th and then have to make a 90° left turn to on ramp back onto the east bound lane of highway 2.
That is correct. From what I understand, the beltway is going to become the new Hwy 2 and the current hwy 2 through Lincoln will be renamed Nebraska Pkwy. So to head to Nebraska City, you'll be taking Nebraska Pkwy across the 120th St Bridge then entering onto Hwy 2.
good for Lincoln, Nebraska --

I was gonna say I’d have to agree lol. Thanks a lot! Merry Christmas to you as well!
It is! There’s actually well over 1 million yards a dirt that will be wasted off site.
Another great video. Thank you for your dedication to these videos. Great to see how far along they are coming.
Thanks a lot!
At this rate it’s going to open early or on time.
Love the progress our city is making. Always let me know when y’all need a backup drone pilot
I’m just doing this channel on my own, not affiliated with the DOT, but thanks!

This bridge has to be open before the paving underneath is done.
Can confirm, the girders are set over the northbound lanes, and they look great lol
