You guys really helped me with my fear of flying. Have been to Antalya two weeks ago and enjoyed both flights. Your tripreports really helped me to enjoy the flights I had recently.
My Dad worked for Ozark/TWA and i worked for TW/USAIR/Western Pacific so i jave been flying all my life. I just recently developed a fear of turbulence. Not sure how i got that fear after close 30 years of flying nor how i will get rid of it.
This sport has now been included on the Tokyo Olympics, its a perfect socially distant sport! Apron guy could easily be a "cone-thro" Gold medalist no problem, his technique is impressive. Objective is to place the cone as close to the nose wheel as possible without hitting it.

Its interesting that even a small airline like Luxair still offer food and a drink included in the price, that`s impressive. I think KLM, Air France and Lufthansa still provide a snack and drink on all European routes and Finnair offer a free water or fruit juice. Your food looked pretty amazing I have to say. British Airways now charge for all food and drinks in Europe economy flights, so Kudos to Luxair, they have a fantastic product. Luxembourg is a beautiful country, full of history and stunning old castles. Its the true crossroad of Europe, 20 minutes by train will take to either France, Belgium, Germany or the Netherlands, nice report Felix, thanks.
It's great to hearLuxembourgish again as I worked there for seven years! Hope to visit soon after lockdown. BTW Iceland Air was the cheapest way to fly to the US back before deregulation with Boeing 757 with a Stop-off in Iceland.
Aren't you confusing it with Loftleidhir, the Icelandic airline that was part of what would later become Icelandair? It used to fly from several points in the U.S. via Keflavík to Luxembourg on DC-8s (the 757s came much later) and it was the cheapest trans-Atlantic air fare. As far as I know, Luxair never flew long-haul or had the 757. It has always flown within Europe, or at most it flew holiday charters to the Canaries, Turkey, and North African beach resorts (it still does). But Luxembourg was indeed the continental European base for Loftleidhir.
@@goytabr Luxair did fly to Newark from Luxembourg for a short period of time (1999-2000). The a/c was a B767 on wetlease from Citybird (Belgium). This route was a financial disaster and was given up quite fast.
Du bist der Erste der keine negative Review ausgearbeitet hat. Da bin ich als Luxemburger stolz. Merci. You are the first one which doesn't make a negative review. I'm proud as a Luxembourgish guy. Thanks.
I recently flew outside the US to Jamaica on JetBlue but you have to be tested for COVID and get the results back before the flight and have it be no later than 3 days old if I recall correctly
One of my friends was an exchange student in Luxembourg during her senior year of high school. It would be nice if Luxembourg had non-stop flights to the United States. The 787-8 would be ideal for flights to connect to United's flights at EWR, IAD and/or ORD.
I flied Luxair on 2019 for a roundtrip BNCLUX on a Dash 8. Really nice service. Only inconvenient was using bus instead of jet bridge at BCN due to aircraft size.
We do not have buses very often in the US so i look forward to my connections in Europe cause there is a good chance i will be using airstairs to a bus. LOL
Great video. I adore Luxembourg and the people there. Small it may be - but Luxembourg has a huge heart. I hope to return again when this horrible pandemic finally goes away.
A regular Luxair passenger here. They also serve excellent Luxembourg Crémant as part of the complimentary drinks. Order that with an orange juice and you've got yourself the perfect Mimosa to get your holiday off to a good start.
I like how you have clear cabin announcement in the video. By the way, the language of Luxembourg is really interesting - sort of a mix between German and Dutch, but forgive me if I'm wrong.
The first non-US airline I ever flew was Luxair from LHR to LUX. It was a 737-200. The strange thing was that the smoking section was one whole side of the aircraft. Not the back half of the plane like I had experienced on other airlines.
In Economy I would have expected a packet of peanuts at best. The good-looking sandwich was a special treat, and the candy before deboarding was a nice touch.
great video as always, the only thing I'd like to add as someone who grew up in the Mannheim Area: Your window view is at 8:29 is mainly Ludwigshafen (Mannheim's very industrial twin city). Missing my hometown a bit!
I did Lux Air years ago on a 707 Johannesburg to Luxembourg,a bus to Brussels and Sabina, now defunct although it probably morphed into SN Brussels?, to London.
You should come into Bolzano and try the new local airline SkyAlps, it flies to Berlin and Düsseldorf twice a week and to Rome 3 times a week, flying also to Ibiza and plenty of italian holiday locations. It would be nice to see you
Once international travel is much more on the go, you ought to try LuxAir's LUX-DUS sector in a business jet Its great fun where the Captain gives the preflight and lets you come up front
I think the people of Simply Aviation does a way better job in showcasing airlines then most RUclipsrs. Because they show all the classes while others just mainly focus on first or business/premium class.

Luxair had direct Flights to New York in the early 2000's for a year or two but stopped it because it was unprofitable
No way to operate a Dreamliner nonstop from LUX to the US in a profitable way. Perhaps the A321XLR could be the right aircraft.
@@JaakiMaaki Luxair is loyal to Boeing. They'll never order an A321neoLR. The 787-8 is better suited to the market than the A321neoLR or XLR.
