Praise God 4 showing the world that He can even change the life of the lead singer of a band so far from Him as korn. God is working in all our lives even wen we cant see it.

most the bands there if you look into the songs and listen to the lyrics they all have the power of christ guiding how the song is writen (espcially Brian Welch)

People this is really simple if you don't like Christian rock the DON'T LISTEN TO IT, TAKE YOUR HATER COMMENTS SOMEWHERE ELSE AND STOP BEING JERKS!!! We all like different things. This music has changed my life completely (Skillet was my first Christian rock band, my first concert, and is still my number 1 favorite) and if it weren't for them I don't know where I'd be. There is a message behind the music u just have to find it. That's the whole point of Christian rock bands. They like this kind of music so they created a style that suits them and they give a good message. That's all they talk about at concerts. So to all you haters who say they are not Christian because of the way they look, I say your dead wrong. It doesn't matter what they wear our how they look. What matters is the reason why they sing and here are the reasons why the perform for us:
1) Praise the Lord
2) remind you that no matter how many times u fall u can get back up
3) to rock and roll all night with their fans

Interesting list, dude. I don't know half of them, but I like it. I love As I Lay Dying, Flyleaf, and P.O.D. You should check out Demon Hunter, they're my favorite!

one i am a new christian i am only 13 dude and im new to Christianity and i hate when people say this music isnt christian because any music that can praise god in his holy name is christian

Dear people who are hating on Christian Rock, if you don't like it then DON'T LISTEN TO IT. And don't go trolling on videos that are clearly about Christian Rock. While I'm at it, my personal opinion is that it is an amazing way to spread the love of Jesus to people who think of Christianity as a bunch of old people sitting in a church singing dusty old hymns. Just to help my point, the original church was highly against music in general as it was mostly used in pagan worship, and look at us now. If we don't take Jesus into the world the way that they will listen, then how are they going to listen?
I agree; I personally think generic worship music is boring and I can't stand it when Christian textbook people like aBeka Book preach about how rock music is evil.

Praise is more than the music and the lyrics; it´s a call from the heart, If an artist says than he is christian, he has to show it, How could a guy without salvation praise to Jesus? A Christian song is more than lyrics! I like the christian Rock, but be carfeul about what you listen, remember: THE DEVIL CAN DISGUISE HIMSELF AS ANGEL OF LIGHT

I think it's about what you feel when you hear a song.
If you hear a song and stim your body with the feeling of scream, or fight, it's from the SECOND floor of hell.
But, there are a lot of rock and metal songs, like Spirit In the Sky and Keeper of the Seven Keys, that, when you hear 'em, you feel quiet, happy, and like if that song it's cleaning your soul, i think that's the music that God accepts, because it's rightful on it's purpose

@SockemRockemRobot DC Talk had three amazing voices. I didnt know Michael Tait has aband called Tait, but i did know he was the new singer for the Newsboys. I like their style too. But DC Talk is really what got me into Chrsistian Rock.

That As I Lay Dying song is my pump-up song! I listen to it before I go to intramural games.

you dont have to look a certain way to be a christian! anyone can look crazy, and still be a christian! its the persons love and relationship with god that matters the most!

for all the people says that some bands of this top 10 aren't rock, just let me tell u the rock is a genre that involves heavy metal, hardcore, thrash, grunge, punk, alternative and so many more styles so the rock is genre and this genre involves all the ways of rock =D

To wrap this up, what I'm saying is, just because you don't enjoy or understand hard christian rock, doesn't mean it is of the Devil. It just means it is not for you. God knows that not everyone has the same tastes, and that people into harder music, are not going to get anything from things like gospel or old hymns. That's just how it is. So, He puts His message out there in a format that they would be willing to accept, because His desire is that no man should be left behind.
The beginning of project 86 killed my ears with these headphones in man.

I stand by what I say man. If you chose to dissagree, I will not argue. It is your choice. However, I will not back down from my stand. I have seen many people come to God, and they did so through Christian Rock. And there faith is just as strong as anyone who grew up on old hymns and gospel. I don't need to go looking for proof, because when I see those bright faces praising and worshiping the Lord, I have all the proof I need. Amen.

@chargerandrebel The verses doesn't say praise means rock/metal/screamo. I've read Psalm 92 right now, and look what it says in the following verses:
"2 to proclaim your love in the morning
and your faithfulness at night,
3 to the music of the ten-stringed lyre
and the melody of the harp.
4 For you make me glad by your deeds, O LORD;
I sing for joy at the works of your hands. "
Screaming like that doesn't mean joy, and harp means harmony. I hope you understand

good answer and sometimes they are tattooed to be almost like the other bands but the big difference is the lyrics, the message so they are tattooed cause some guys don't listen the music only for the fact that they're christian
Lol, you didn't even read the comment I was responding to. So thanks for proofing me two points.
The christian I was responding to said christianity wasn't a religion because they didn't have any statues(as if that was the definition of religion hehe), so thumbs up for refuting him on that one.
And the second point I made was that everyone has their own chistianity, something that is implied in you comment.

just because music has screaming, metal or a rock feel to it doesn't mean that it's devil music. pay attention to the lyrics. people want sandi patti and chris tomlin all the time for christian music, but this is christian music too. there's also christian rap, christian country, etc.-a wide variety and i think that's awesome. just keep in mind not all christian music is hymns and sunday morning worship songs.
