      I put a lot more hours into this game than I care to admit. I can remember spending the early morning hours racing against Jr. just before he went up to the Cup series.

      I would turn around and go forwards as fast as I could the wrong way, and try to take out as many drivers as I could then turn around real quick and try to catch back up. Found out if I really wanted to get 1st place, I just had to drive normally lol. But yea, the 1996 version is the one I have, so many fun times lol.

    • @joshuabranson74
      @joshuabranson74 Год назад

      @@djlinux64 well if we're just going to add every game to it then wreckfest has great damage model but he wasn't talkin about every racing game so beamNg has nothing to do with it. He was talking about NASCAR video games as a whole since NASCAR racing 2003 the damage model has been crap crap and there is no excuse good enough as to why considering wreckfest on Xbox one can do it and Nascar 2003 for PC can do it the last twenty years so there absolutely zero excuse for why devs have refused to add a realistic damage model

    I played this game in the 90's online on TEN (Total Entertainment Network) by calling in to a server I believe was in Hawaii then later you could connect with your regular internet (dial up) In the 80's when I played Sega and similar systems I said if they ever figure out how to play against other people in their homes it would be amazing...

      You get get the game for free on Game Nostalgia. You download the game and DOSbox from the DOSbox website. The NR2 download is setup so when you “run,” nascar racing 2 it will automatically mount itself to DOSbox and it will run just fine. You don’t need to type any computer code in or anything.

      @@Squakenet very tricky game. Actually, those sims from Papyrus were very realistic. Indicar Racing (I & II), Nascar Racing, awesome games. Each speedway required precised and different adjustments (tyre pressure, shocks, wings etc), you had to practice a lot before attempting to race a full season with acceptable success (definitely finishing the races was a huge success). Even when you stopped at the pit lane you had the chance to make some adjustments that eventually will pay off. Still got the original games. Papyrus set the bar really high.
