I'm happy for the Cup Series, but as a fan of both IndyCar and NASCAR, the doubleheader was the best day of racing money could buy. IndyCars in the morning and Xfinity, who always put on a great road course race, in the afternoon. Tickets being less than 100 was also a great selling point.

I've been to 4 current tracks: Homestead, Michigan, Kansas, and Texas. Texas is home. I used to LOVE going there because it was an hour from home. I had done literally everything there is to do there. I've been in the garage with hot passes, I've been in the suites, I've been in victory lane, I've been on track during driver intros, I've been around the track in a pace car. I've been in the program twice, I've even been on the Big Hoss screen. It USED to be the coolest track in NASCAR and after the 2002 repave had aged, it put on some great races. After the reconfiguration it was ruined, and I haven't been in 2 years.

my quick thoughts on every track in the order you list them
-Texas can be fixed by running it clockwise
-LA Colosseum sucks except for the format
-Sonoma isn't that bad. they just need to keep running the carousel layout and remove stage breaks
-Richmond is fine. it would also benefit from the removal of stage breaks or run it clockwise
-Iowa is a track that everyone wanted, so hopefully it races well
-North Wilkesboro is cool, but not a great spot for an All-Star Race
-Dover is kinda mid and has been for a long time
-New Hampshire is solid. i would like to see some action on the road course
-Nashville is fine, but nothing spectacular
-Charlotte Roval was improved by moving the restart zone to the chicane
-Gateway is underrated and has a ton of drama
-Phoenix should rotate with a few tracks for hosting the championship race
-Michigan is always a good race
-Las Vegas shouldn't have two races
-Homestead is a great track and it was built up by being the championship race
-Chicago Street Course is too narrow for my liking
-Indy Road Course is the worst track on the circuit. the oval isn't much better, but people don't drive like drunk monkeys on it
-Pocono is also kinda mid. it's cool that it has three unique turns, but that's all it has going for it
-Atlanta shouldn't have been converted to a drafting track
-CotA has yet to produce a good race imo. between the rain the first time and the constant crashing, there's nothing good about it
-Watkins Glen is usually a good race. i would like to see them run the boot
-Charlotte is a great test of endurance, and a good track to see in person
-Kansas has been really good in the Gen7 era. definitely one of the best
-Darlington is good, but the main groove is kinda narrow. but that narrow groove has provided great finishes, like 2021's 500
-Martinsville is always cool, and the grandfather clock is the best trophy in NASCAR
-Talladega is probably the best drafting track. i would like to see it as the first race in the second round, just to make everyone squirm a little more
-Bristol is definitely the best short track on the circuit. the dirt was a failed experiment imo
-Daytona is cool that it has the "Super Bowl of NASCAR", but it's kinda mid otherwise

You nailed a huge point with The Collesiuem.... novelty has worn off... same thing happened with Indy, then Indy RC, Roval, and Dirt at Bristol. NASCAR needs to not run these things into the ground till the novelty has worn off and we hate them

I’ve been to Michigan, Martinsville (3x), Daytona RC, Charlotte RC (2x), and Watkins Glen (2x). Martinsville racing pre-Next Gen was amazing, but the facilities there need a MAJOR renovation. The bathrooms are the worst of any sports facility I’ve been to. Charlotte and Daytona were the nicest tracks overall and both have great RC racing (yes I know Nacsar doesn’t use the RC anymore). And Watkins Glen has the best area around the track to enjoy which is why it was the race I went to this year as I could only go to one.

As someone who has gone to Michigan every year since 2018 (with the exception of 2020) the traffic in and out is absolutely trash. I mainly blame the state police for not really policing the traffic better and also crowding county highways up the ass when it's not necessary

i'm sorry but you were WAY too harsh on los angeles. the tagline about trying new things?? yes while charlotte motor speedway and its roval layout have proved that off-the-wall concepts can wear out over time & actually hurt the sport as a result, it can be a benefit if done right. and not to mention, auto club speedway & virtually every intermediate fit the same bill in the 90s and 2000s, yet look at where we are today with them.
i will note that i'm a lifelong southern california native so there may be bias, but i've also watched nascar for almost 20 years so i reckon i know what i'm talking about. i will say though, as someone that was at the clash in 2023, it was painful to watch and quite frankly ridiculous. i also attended the event in 2022, though, and while the embarrassment was down the smaller field size also produced notably worse racing than 2023, so a medium between the '22 & 23 car counts for the 2024 main event is probably what should be shot for by nascar.
but for the reasoning in the first paragraph, and the fact that you've actually never experienced the los angeles clash irl, i will say that your take on it in this video was spot-off.
    -
*btw i thought your take on indy was frustrating, the gen-4 car in the 2000s proved that with the right rules package the brickyard can be good consistently

And how does nascar decide cars starting positions. And if somone leads for most of the race and finishes 2nd is that better or just getting first is better

Cota and the Charlotte Roval are way to high and Sonoma, Michigan and Richmond are way to low.
    My personal top 10 currently:
    1) Daytona
    2) Talladega

    5) Kansas
    6) Martinsville
    7) Homestead
    8) Michigan
    9) Atlanta
    10) Walkins Glen

No series knows how to put on a good race there (with the exception of this year's xfinity race at HMS. All other races at these tracks are butt. The racing is horrible as all get out
I will also say Watkins Glen had a horrible 2023 cup race, and Sonoma should go back to the carousel, the chute makes me put it in bottom 5 with Watkins Glen

I personally haven't been a fan of Bristol since they did the original repave. I get the drivers love it but it lost A LOT of personality when they made it a multi grove track. And I think attendance backs that up.
I'm partial to Martinville and Darlington. They both would have probably made my top 3.
Dover always had alot of personality too but I think them being independently owned is what is killing that race. It's obviously not a priority for NASCAR anymore.
Stage Racing sucks all around but it absolutely has murdered road course racing. NO MORE STAGE BREAKS NASCAR!
