I live right next to download, I usually hear it yet this year is my first time going lol. I've always wanted to go, I'm really excited! Thanks for the tips.
Totally right about lightening the load! Much improved now with the new village location, my walk to eco camp last year was all tarmac 😎👍 With the heat last year I was in shorts and t shirt all day, but then freezing during the headliners after dark, and when I bought merch I had no where to put it. If it's hot again I'm making sure I do shorts with extra pockets. So making sure to have those extra pockets would be my tip, and keep an extra layer in there for the evening, or I guess a poncho if possible rain. Can only fit so much in the small bags allowed.
Thanks, I like to see a lot of these videos because everyone tends to mention 1 or 2 different things I haven't heard before. I am unfortunately coming in a cheap popup tent this year, and to Bloodstock afterwards. But I don't plan on leaving it behind.
This will be my first year at download fest, super excited but actually didn’t know that you couldn’t park your car by the tent. Any tips to avoid theft from the tents?
Don't put a lock on your tent - it just highlights that you may have something valuable. Put everything back in your tent before you leave for the arena, and just don't leave anything valuable in there on the off chance that you do get robbed.

Ah, yes, a poncho that can fold up very small is a very good idea!

As long as you are comfortable enough and try to re-use it, I'm happy haha
Step 2: set tents up in a circle, with a beer in hand
Step 3: set up gazebo
Step 4: turn gazebo into a kill house
Step 5: corn-based snacks and beer
