This is really great for people new to festivals. I tend to take packets of tissues as they are waterproof and easy to pop in your bag or pocket. Also take a waterproof jacket, I know we've been lucky with the weather the last few years but you can get a lightweight one for around £20, the bin bag ponchos are crap.
congrats on the baby news guys, great little informative vid, have a great fest, one tip for lighting, get a 5l water jug, full of water and fit a head torch on it facing in, you'll have a nice bright lantern
Congratulations guys, those types of videos are always very helpful. I hope Vicky will be able to go to download. It'll be a different experience for sure, so make sure you take good care of her (and the baby)! Have fun. 😁
15:20 someone gave me one of these last year at Download and said it'd get rid of my hangover so I walked off and put it into my mouth and wondered why the hell it was bubbling so much. Didn't realize you're supposed to drop it into water
Congratulations on the pregnancy guys. We did V festival in 2004 when my better half was pregnant with our first born. I think she was 5 months, which was doable. V was a lot of walking, honestly download is a trip to the corner shop in comparison!!
If you want comfort mate, I did Rock Retreat last year and again this year. Nice and quiet, proper toilets and hot showers, pamper room for the ladies, bar and food all in the camp. Best thing is you can park your car next to your tent so no walk. Costs more but would be a good option when the little one arrives.
just wanted to say, used vicky’s rec of that spray suncream over makeup and it genuinely saved me last year! not one part of my face burned, it was perfect for reapplying and i became rather popular for it :)
If needed, you will be able to jump queues Vicky! I took my kid last year and in the Sunday heatwave we were able to skip the queues for water and use the accessible entrance to the arena so he didn't cook. If you and your bump need anything to survive the elements just ask to skip ahead :)
Great video guys! We're in campervan field this year so really looking forward to not having to carry all the gear from the carpark to the camp this year!
Congratulations to you both, thank you for the video. So personable! Have a great time. And yes, 2019 required 35,000 duvets (and not a single skin tent like I brought d'oh!)
Great tips! Little thing that may help you is they do some nice flavoured and plain alcohol free spirits. Also noticed alcohol free bars at other festivals this year. So they may do the same at Download this year! 🤘🏼
I know I'm a bit late to the game but I guess for others who are gonna do a festival without alcohol, Captain Morgan's have a 0.0% spiced rum! I've been sober for almost 3 and a half years - I didn't touch the 0% alcohol for a WHILE in case it lead me back, so I did Bloodstock with just monsters and squash, but this year I'll be taking 0% rum! Hope you guys have the best time!
Congratulations to the both of you. I would recommend getting a decent bag from go outdoors. I found wellies from wynsors for £14 today and a Pancho from boyes for £1
I am going to attend Graspop in a couple of weeks i bought a sleeping pad instead of an air bed cause i think they are horrible to take so im trying out a pad instead but i have to try it first maybe i switch it up again Next year😂
You can get some really good and very light weight blow up mattresses that have built in pumps or air bags, Saves a lot of space and weight. Would highly recommend. Mind is currently in storage so can't tell you then brand name 😅
If you want some alcoholic free beers the Guinness one is one of the best iv tried, also brewdog do a decent one, stay clear of Heineken and Budweiser, Taste like ditch water, whatever that's like!
@@simon_bond yeah this is true last I did it as it was my 10th anniversary this year doing because someone said they'd do it but now sold tickets and I CBA to sell mine so trying it with randoms. Probably go back next year....but RIP is really worth it for the convenience
Be careful with zero percent alcohol drinks.. they still have small amounts of alcohol in them. So too much is just as bad but to be honest... it'll be fine :) gratz on the pregnancy x

I take the "moist toilettes", they're compact and lightweight and if they get wet they work even better :D

Suprised you haven't done RIP yet. Did it for the first time last year doing it again this....will be hard to go back to regular though ha
Yeah, deffo gonna get around to it at some point, cost is a big issue at the moment and I feel like I would miss normal camp.

0.05% of alcohol won't hurt a thing, a small amount of alcohol in pregnancy wouldn't hurt the mother or baby
I'm taking a jar of nutella and biscoff so I can get them signed by chidz
😂😂😂😂
