I will eat blue cheese, cilantro, cold peas, soggy cereal, warm lettuce, moldy cheese, but I draw the line at anything containing: •Olives, green and especially black; they taste and smell like they are canned in formaldehyde. •Horseradish, including wasabi; RIP my sinuses every time I discover it in a dish •Black licorice; can’t explain it, but there’s a soapy flavor to it and the sweetness doesn’t help it
Brussels sprouts: As an Englishman, I don't understand the appeal. Cooked/boiled tomatoes: I will eat tomatoes cold and raw, especially the little sweet ones. But never cooked. Celery: Fuck right off. I will eat pretty much anything else.
Sorry --- but you have never in your life had an avocado properly ripe. Ripening may involve a whole week straight in a paper bag, preferably in the company of another avocado or two. Halve, remove pit, salt a bit, eat out of the rind with a spoon. A green, creamy, and veggie fat flavor, like eating Gardevoir pu55y --- _that_ sensual. But timing is everything, as 'cados are only at their peak for a couple days.
Not sure if it is the same issue with you as it is for me because I have had guacamole I liked, but its the taste of chlorophyll that's nasty. That generic 'green' taste that is in anything green. Avocados, celery, lettuce. under ripe bananas to me it all tastes like grass.
canned salmon. Not all canned salmon, but the kind a co-worker gave me the one year. it had such a metallic taste, it tasted like i was eating a mushy tin can with a hint of salmon. no it wasn't cat food, and i double and triple checked, and i'm pretty sure a cat wouldn't like eating something that tasted like metal, either.
I hate canned green beans, but it’s nothing to do with the flavor. My parents cooked canned green beans every single night for dinner for my entire childhood. They bought them in bulk. They still do, in fact. I have not eaten a green bean since I moved out at 19. But I guess if you ate anything every day for the better part of two decades, you’d get sick of it.
Slimey food that literally feels like you're eating snot. I'm willing to try ANYTHING, but that's the one thing I can never get over 😂 I don't mean like the sour candy that's straight up corn syrup. I mean full-on raw egg white level of slime.
I can eat almost anything. I refuse to touch slimy things, but thankfully my throat is wide enough I can swallow most foods without tasting or biting. Papaya on the other hand, was definitely made by God as the Anti Christ of fruit. The presence of papaya at a fruit stand is enough for me to not buy from that stand, the whole thing is contaminated to me. If papaya is an ingredient on anything in the menu, I'm not ordering or eating there, my mind instantly thinks that everything has papaya juice. If I see it at home, I have to wash all the dishes and utensils, with bleach. And if I SMELL the cancerous cantaloupe, then I instantly throw up and won't eat for a couple days. I can swallow raw eggs, launch olives into my throat, pull oysters with my teeth and swallow like a shark, and sometimes even octopus tentacles if I'm fat enough. But papaya is the thing that I refuse to be in the same vicinity and will and have swung at people trying to get God's Loogie even near me
Coriander/cilantro. Oh, christ! The SMELL! 🤮 Anything in the kale/cabbage family with exception of cauliflower. HOWEVER, if it's been pickled or prepared in something like coleslaw, I LOVE it. Apparently there's an enzyme that to people like myself, gives it a bitter & metallic tang. Brussels sprouts, though, are just an abomination that need to be eradicated from the universe with extreme prejudice. Anything that swam in water. How TF do you not barf at that vile stink? It helps that I'm horribly allergic to shellfish.
I see your point except on the cilantro --- it improves soup, and salsa just isn't salsa without it. Some with an extra sensitivity to it say it tastes of soap... I get it, but it doesn't go far enough that way to trigger me. Then too, I actually appreciate the ammoniac quality of St. Nectaire cheese --- nobody else in the house would touch it, so more for me. Brussels sprouts and liver must NOT be overcooked, or they become unpalatable. Chicken liver is not such a problem that way... evolution, maybe?
Store bought/non ripened tomatoes. Spend my whole life thinking I hated them until I grew someone at home. Had no idea a tomato could pack so much flavor, while most store bought ones taste like water.
Weenies. I can eat breakfast sausages just fine. Ham, no problem. Turkey is great. I love chicken and steak. I don't mind any other types of meat. I have a distant memory of eating a weenie somewhere before, but I don't know when or where. I recently retried to eat both an Oscar Mayer weenie and a hotdog with one inside. Why did I ever hate weenies? Welllll, my body literally rejected both of them onto my plate (I barfed...). I might actually have an Oscar Mayer weenie allergy lol XD
Plain Greek yogurt. Went to Turkey once and was graciously invited to a strangers house for dinner. Our interpreter had given us a heads up before hand that not eating was seen as disrespectful so of course, they a dish that heavily featured warm plain Greek yogurt. Choked that dish down and smiled the whole time. Just the thought of it now still makes me gag.
Smoothies come to mind, but that's purely a food trauma that I don't want to explain lol. But for real, cottage cheese. The texture reminds me of cat vomit. Wet and chunky. The taste is heaven, but jfc that texture is proof the devil is real. And water chestnuts!! I'm so glad at least ONE other human out there hates them too!!!
I cannot STAND cucumbers. Everyone around me loves them for some godforsaken reason. It smells nauseating, it tastes really awkward, it looks ugly and its strong bitterness doesn't synergize with most food. Meanwhile, I feel like I'm the only one out of my friends and family who really enjoy mushrooms.
Any pickles at all?! Cuz you can pickle just about anything, and in a huge variety of ways/flavors. I bet we could find a pickle you love! It might be something outlandish, and it would probably take more trial and error than you could handle, but I believe it exists!
Mine would be Kale. I think I have the gene that people have for Cilantro but for Kale. It always taste like soap to me and I've tried it in all different forms.
I despise onions. They are a type of vegetable that, if not used in moderation or cooked correctly, can completely overpower any dish, leaving nothing but the taste of onions.
I truly loved this reaction video! I am about 50/50 with the original reddit video and comments. We are all different people and not everyone likes or dislikes certain foods. How boring would it be if we all agreed? Viva la difference!
I like bananas, but only if they’re green or possibly a bit yellow. Any slight amount of brown, and they taste like mercury retrograde with a sprinkle of the sweet, sweet music of Yoko Ono. I have sometimes eaten roast beef and almost enjoyed it, but that depends on the day. Any other cold meat dish is Yaweh’s punishment for my bisexuality. Side note, I didn’t actually answer the question, because I am, indeed, a picky eater.
Mushrooms. I can stand a slight flavour of them (such as, I've had a can of mushroom soup added to the mashed potatoes of Shepherd's pie and it's not bad) but as a whole, everything about them, I absolutely cannot stand. Can't remember if it was mussels or oysters I tried when I was younger, but I remember not liking them. Have yet to try them again as an adult. And finally, eggs Benedict. I had it when I was a kid and I really did NOT like the Hollandaise sauce. I tried it again a few months ago and I still don't like it, but I'll eat it if it's served to me. To be fair, when I had it the first time, it was at a pretty crappy fifties-style diner and it was done pretty terribly, and I'm 90% sure that's why I don't love it. But I can't say I absolutely hate it. I just wouldn't go out of my way to pay for it at a restaurant. Keeping in mind I also love most foods.
Peppers, not just bell peppers but all peppers, you could gently graze a pepper across something and I would be able to taste it, I can smell peppers cooking from at least 50 feet, I can’t stand the smell or taste, if you give me something with peppers I will throw hands, even if it had peppers in it or was near a pepper, I can tell, it tastes like a pepper
For me it's the bitterness of dark chocolate The brookstone candies are covered in dark and it is probably the only candy with dark chocolate that I have never had issues with and I enjoy.
@@grc3rb Hopefully they'll be good to you as well. I have tried like 4 different kinds with the fruit jelly stuff in the middle and none of them were bitter.
Ok, cilantro, I have the soap gene too, and Miracle whip is *VILE* And avocado tastes like compressed wet grass lump. The taste and the texture gross me out.
I love any meat from a cows head but i cannot stand beef liver. Cow tongue tastes a lot better. Also beef intestine tacos are the worst food pf mexico in my opinion

0:52 as a rebuttal to this guy: I dont get lettuce or tomato on my burrito when I go to Chipotle. Although cold Chipotle is pretty good. I like mushrooms, but canned mushrooms are not yummo!!! Fresh is the way to go.
I ain't a garbage can for food, but I can swallow stuff if I have to. Unless it's beetroot. I despise both the taste and smell so much I can't stand even standing next to anything that has them in. Or even looking at people eat it. It makes me sick to my stomach.
Blood sausage, blood soups, or any other dish containing blood. It tastes disgusting. It’s virtually the only mainstream food I won’t eat. I’ll eat durian. I won’t enjoy it, but I can get it down. I’ve eaten menudo (cow’s stomach stew). But blood is where I draw the line.
I am super picky about what I will and won't eat. Can't stand fish of any kind, broccoli, kale, spinach, avocado, cucumber. I can't stand eggs or coffee or anything coffee flavored. I love licorice, onions, olives, both green and black. I like chicken, pork, beef in moderation but I can't do sausage of any kind. The other thing I can stand is white sauce like Alfredo sauce. To me it smells like vomit.
Parsnips. My mother used to make what she called Stew, using minced (ground) beef, potatoes, carrots and peas. The potatoes were my favourite part but every so often she added parsnips which looked just like the potatoes in the dish. The flavour and texture was enough to make me gag. Sometimes she’d add Sultanas, morsels of goodness straight from the box or in a bun but slimy bombs of pure evil in savoury dishes. And don’t get me started on cabbage, I can eat it raw, cooked in Asian dishes and Sauerkraut but I always gag on it when my mother serves it
A little surprised that nobody mentioned asparagus. It has the freaking weirdest texture! And then the taste is completely different as it goes from the top of the stalk to the bottom… Everyone else in my family loves it. Heck, even my dog liked it. Blech
Fennel. In Austria grandmas either give fennel tea or chamomile tea when their grandchildren got a tummy ache. My grandma gave me fennel tea to drink instead of water or juice whenever I said I'm thirsty. Can't even stand the smell of the stuff now.

To the women that said eating eating sea urchin was like “swallowing a piece of human tongue”you have my thanks for cracking me up 😂😂😂
I will eat almost anything but I REFUSE to eat raisins
I am Polish and strawberry "soup" with pasta is horrid. Some people make it like a dessert, adding sugar and cream. Ugh.
Avocado. It has a taste and it’s not good. Even when people try to doctor it up it just taste like the grinch’s skid mark.
😂😂😂😂

Eggs. Specifically the yolk. Slimy, snotty goo.
Canned green beans: they taste like wax to me!

Liquorice and any aniseed flavoured candy is just vile. Always hated it 🤮

Okra
I don't care if its steamed, boiled or fried I can't imagine eating something that slimy
If it's fried, it shouldn't be slimy
right? naaaaaastttty
Breaded and fried, better. In gumbo, quite good... but just in gumbo.
Pears they have the texture of 200 grit sandpaper
Needs sharp cheddar cheese with it.
Frozen mixed vegetables
We call them rubber veggies because then never get soft no matter how long you cook them.
FMVs don't really taste of their vegetables do they? Or of much of anything...
Weenies. I can eat breakfast sausages just fine. Ham, no problem. Turkey is great. I love chicken and steak. I don't mind any other types of meat. The only thing I will not eat is pickled beets. Yuck! Dirt flavored vegetable pickled in dirt favored liquid
Chitterlings which are basically hog intestines. They must be thoroughly cleaned & cooked or they will make you sick as a dog.
Sea urchin is the best! It's like a sweet treat at the end of a sushi meal, like dessert
I could eat a whole jar of olives, especially Kalamata.
Sweet? Maybe my experiences were bad cuz it was a salt water bag and swear
@testertree4545 Yes, others often have uni at end of meal bc it's slightly sweet.
Smoothies come to mind, but that's purely a food trauma that I don't want to explain lol.

I'm more than likely butchering the spelling, but Hawaiian Poi, it's a root yogurt that has little flavor but the consistency and texture was awful
I was surprised at how many people don’t like olives?
I like the black olives that come in a can. Can’t stand any of the others 🤷♀️
Chicken wings and ribs, I am probably the only person in the world that doesn’t find that type of food appealing and I eat almost anything else.
Easy for me: seafood. Those smelly organisms aren't here for food. Parsley too, this small plant makes every dish to taste like they are rancid.
Durian. I know it’s an acquired taste. It’s one I have not acquired. If you like/love it- no judgement
I made it a third of the way through a mouldy lasagna but I won’t touch pickles

Beef kidney... Blaa🤢
Can agree with Celery. 100% can’t stand.
jelly is something i just cant stand eating, regardless if it has fruits or other stuffs in it.
MRE called Vomlet.
Sorry for any PTSD I've triggered my mentioning that nightmare
Brussel sprouts!
Amen on the sea urchin. It's oddly extremely funky.
Black olives, taste like gasoline, the taste overpowers anything it’s added to

I agree with your statement on bananas
Bananas. The texture is like worms crawling down your throat.
I’ll be a garbage disposal until it comes to blue cheese.

Shredded lettuce is a scurge upon this earth
Chicken gizzards are best when made into a gravy.
So i have sensory disorder and tho i love onion powder i don't like anything else onion the texture bothers me
Smoked salmon. Like. What the hell
I will NOT eat mangoes. I personally think they are disgusting. Taste are texture. I will not eat coconut cake with coconut frosting. Also celery.
Sweet potatoes and yams 🍠
For me its liver or british sausages
kale and arugula
Being from the Southern US...Potato Salad....I HATE it!!!!
These some really, REALLY picky “non picky” eaters 🤷🏾♂️
Pumpkin makes me feel sick and idk why
Liver stew.
Red cabbage in sweet sauce.
Corned Beef it is for me, the after taste is terrible, I don't care for Boiled Potatoes either, this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumbria, England
Cheap spam duplicates. Hell even tofu has more flavoring

Olives.
🤮 Grapefruit
Licorice
