He is my best friend and he turns down nasa, space X, and even turned down a personal job offer from Elon Musk… he makes a fortune as a programmer/designer and only works 15 hours a week on the “busy weeks”…
In high school we had lots of reasonably intelligent students and all are doing well, but the most impressive classmate - smart, hardworking & kind, was back in middle school / jr high, LD. She is a successful lawyer, last I heard. We lost touch years ago and I deeply regret it. In school competitions LD always beat me (I was average in everything), but had no jealousy or ill-will towards her. She truly deserved the best! I hope she happy now & forever!
There were two: One is my best friend and is now working as a military engineer. He recently was working for an AI company but left and is looking for other options that the military will propose to him. We're currently working on a game. The other is a an arrogant toolbag who took the first one as some sort of rival (though 1 didn't gaf). Lost contact but couldn't care less.
She writes children books and married an investment banker. She was interviewed on TV about her book. She is doing well and has an balance work/family life. She had an amazing personality. I would say she was the life of the parties. I was voted most intelligent in my year and I am doing just okay. Personality does matter in success. I wasn't smart enough to overcome my personality issues but I am content with my life. I am graceful I don't have to live paycheck to paycheck. There is an reason why she was voted most likely to succeed instead of most intelligent. I think she would have won both categories if it was allowed.
The most popular girl and valedictorian in my class has 6 kid's from 5 different father's, she was pregnant with her first during graduation, my classmates thought she just got fat lol.
He abandoned Medic school and went to work as a fashion clothes designer while growing a beard and ghosting his "best girlfriends". Not much of a surprised, because he was the type of person that would cry of sadness if He got a 8 or 9 in a test, the pressure from his parents played the main role in that.
