Both guys lifted their front foot at the start, and even planted it backwards. All movement should be geared to going forward. Should drive/push off as hard as possible with both feet, and the first landing step should be with the back foot
Improving SPEED is really hard. Over time I have seen many players improve movement skills, agility, balance, co-ordination. If a player has poor technique they can improve speed. But making a slow player fast, is almost impossible. Enjoyed watching the video and have taken some of the tip on board for our training this summer.
lot of different articles say otherwise, you can do a ton by converting fast twitch fibers, improving strength, improving technique. They won't catch usain bolt but you can do a lot for a player 10-20% faster is pretty commonly accepted.
I mean, I've personally done it with help to myself. you've likely not been around nearly enough athletes being trained well at it. Ajax has an entire part of their complex for it, Lampard talks about all he did himself. It's not really a secret.

You can't 'convert' fast twitch or slow twitch fibers. You genetically have a set amount of each fiber, followed by a small amount of muscle fibers that can be trained for either fast twitch or slow twitch.
I am from India and I sprint. Now I live in London and I still sprint, in the cold weather. Is it safe to do so. I do adequate leg muscle strengthening for 45 minutes before sprinting.
I definitely need this. I am very quick over 40 yards however, my energy levels get depleted extremely quick. After the game i get regular migraines, and this is after having a pre match meal of past with my greens juice. Any advice?
I can see a few points were the interview can increase his speed. At the start he needs to put more of his weight on his front leg and shorten the distance between the legs. Your arm mechanics could improve as you're not using a large enough rang of motion to generate momentum, the arms arm pull back quite a lot on the downward pull but not enough on ht eupward arm travel

it's speed endurance... it's not for speed it's the repetition of high-end speed there's a difference why can't you read? people really need to start learning the difference in terms
the same exercises used to improve speed can work speed endurance depending on frequency/reps/rest times etc. jenning bangsbo is a trainer who has videos on this and is the trainer who used to work with juventus back when zidane was there.
