The reset trick is incredibly useful. I was about to purchase a new remote because the volume buttons weren't working, but I just had to reset it, and it started working again. Thanks!
I have the same problem. Even though I did what you said, the problem was not solved.
Thank you for the "Focus Style" in the settings. Having items highlighted with w white outline. It makes it easier to tell what is selected.

I don't think reducing background sounds is the point of Enhanced Dialog. A lot of shows and movies will have dialog scenes where the overall sound levels are super low, including characters whispering, sandwiched between scenes with environment noise, sound effects, and music that are super loud. It's not usually that dialog is overwhelmed by _simultaneous_ background sound. But yeah when you come down to it it's probably the no different, whispered dialog needs to be boosted.

Hi, very helpful video thanks for posting. Mind if I ask a question? I have an iPhone and iPad and will look into getting an Apple TV. I’m kind of wondering if I voice request the Apple TV to do something how then do I stop all my other siris from doing it as well? Eg Siri play a particular movie or show. I’m thinking it’ll then cause about 3 versions 🤔🧐😂 any idea how to get around it?
In the beginning it may trigger multiple devices going off. When I use siri on my apple tv through homepod my iPhone usually doesn’t get activated. Also if siri input is based on Apple TV and your Apple TV is on it recognizes that.

How can I enter Channel Numbers like in the Spectrum TV app. Many of the channels I watch are all 600+. Scrolling takes for ever.
I just watched your video in tips and tricks. The enhanced dialogue does not appear in my Apple 4K tv 1st. Gen. I called Apple and told that my 1st. Gen was up to date to 17.2 but it’s not showing the enhanced dialogue Apple told me that you only get enhanced dialogue if you are using Apple HomePod connected to your tv. I have the new Sonos arc and the rear speakers with the sub woofer. In your video you are using a soundbar not Apple home pods. Can you help me and tell me if I can get enhanced dialogue on my Apple TV 4K. Thanks Nick get back to asap thanks again Nick
I have the OG Homepods in Stereo Mode for my setup. I don’t use a soundbar. Enhance dialogue is only available on Apple TV when you have HomePods connected.
The ‘restart’ of Apple TV. Do you know if the two button process works if you use the Apple Remote on your phone?? I have an Apple tv that we lost the remote for a long time ago and only use our phones. 👍
Unfortunately doesn’t work when using an iPhone as the remote. You need the siri remote for that to work.

I don’t seem to have the ‘enhance dialog’ option. I have ‘stereo’ selected by ‘audio format’. Might that be the reason? tvOS is fully updated,

It only works when you have HomePods paired to apple tv

Works with any homepod, set as default audio output on Apple TV
@@YoungAjiok. I tried it with my HomePod minis and set it to default but didn’t work. From there that I asked 😩
The ‘Enhance Dialogue’ feature is not present and I’m on the latest version of TVoS.
This only works with HomePods, when its paired with Apple TV

Great video!! The hard reset on the remote fixed the volume problem i had with my bose speaker stopped working with my Apple remote. Did a hard reset and works again how it should…👌🏽🇦🇺 keep up the great work
I still think it a shame the iOS remote cannot control tv volume yet the physical Apple TV remote can. 😢
You can do this by using the Volume Buttons on the side of your iPhone.
Most of these have been on the appleTV os for a long time. Not new.
You should silence the audio when you say “Hey Siri…”, as it set off my HomePod and rewinded your video. If I didn’t lower the volume of your video after it rewinded, it would have been stuck on a loop. 😂

Need that enhance dialog for RUclips videos too. Background music is very hard for hearing impaired people. Many times I want to watch a video but end up closing it before I get to watch it all because of background music.
I couldn’t find the Enhanced dialogue and using tvOS17
@Cyclotreker it only works if you have homepods paired to your Apple TV
Buddy should have mentioned that to get this Enhanced option you need to be connected to HomePods. Very misleading
