In today's video we are going to make a very nice minimal dnb groove using Ableton Live 10, Native Instruments Massive and FM8. Enjoy!

Thank you for watching this video! Please don't forget to subscribe, share and comment! I love reading your comments! Видеоклипы
Just about to tuck into lesson 1 of your neuro funk coarse. Bought it a while back but needed to understand Ableton a bit better first. Hands down my favourite producer to watch when it comes to sound design. Sick video bro.
Thank you bro! I am very happy that you dig the content! If you have any questions don't hesitate to get in contact!
its amazing how much phasers add. I used to stay away from them, but used like you are showing too adds a lot of character. Phasis is my favorite because you can adjust so much: the number of notches, their spacing, etc.
Phasis is great. If you happen to have FL, then you can resample stuff in Harmor, and use Harmor's phaser. You can draw the shape of the phaser in Harmor, like a multi stage envelope with points and curves, it's awesome. :)
@@amusicians2cents That's right. Sometimes I forget about the extensive functionallity of Harmor...I'm always too busy in Sytrus haha
Yeh! My favourite phaser is still the native Ableton one! :)
Dnb Faceimpressions at it finest 😁
I can step it up :D
I pretty love the atmosFEAR on that one. Everything is pretty massive. 🔥
great stuff as usual man :)
You are great! :)
Kid's a vibe🤘😹🔥Love your videos man they really help improve my sound design. Wholesome content!
Glad to hear it!
A tutorial on the autonomic, minimal side of dnb would be awesome. Artists like Last life, personnage, the untouchables, etc. it’s hard as shit making interesting music in that style. Basically, how to nail that Samurai Music sound.
It's hard because these are very minimal. Interesting concept though. I may have a go with these.
Someday the effect chains like the ones you show will be "very-very simple" for me too :) Awesome explanations, thank you! I'm subbed. Gonna try some of your tips.
You can do it! Just keep practicing and following all me videos! :)
man, you are anyway the BEST neurobass producer EVER!!!! I LOVE YOU
Nah, you are just saying it! :)
@@Letsynthesize trust me
@@djg-u-b-s9888 I do! :)
I like how you change your face when music play :DD
I do that all the time :)
Yo Dan killer as usual. Just wondering if your old neuro racks for Live 9 and 10 will work with Live 11? Or if there's some new ones coming 😉🤘
They must work! No new ones though.
Nice tutorial! How can I do tu use the LFO's in SerumFx? I put it on the knobs but it dont work :(
Thanks
You need to add the external instrument there and that will send the midi data to serumfx
im here before the premiere
:O
You could have just written: FIRST :D
@@Letsynthesize yeah but i prefer to say before the premier lol
Hey Dan. Vital just released today and I was wondering, will you be doing a tutorial or even a full course on LS academy using Vital?
I am just tweaking it :) I defo will make some videos about it!
@@Letsynthesize Thanks! I'll tune in for that! Also, I would definitely buy a course focused on Vital if you decide to make one.
Why ott instead of multiband compression? Or u fo the bass seperetely to not screw up the sine wave/bass
ott is a multiband compression preset
when I first read the title, I was like, what??? Dnb can be minimal? :-D nice vid, liked how you went through the process. I'm gonna try to work on that. thanks for sharing
Well, everything can be minimal honestly! Thank you for the kind words on the video! :)
I am still trying to figure out how to layer sub bass with growls.
Cut the lows on the growl and put a sub under it. Note two things:
- add slight distortion to your sub if you used a simple sine
- use the same pitch bend range so when you trigger the two instruments with the same MIDI they will sound indentical!
Anybody has a link for the original toddler video? It's fucking golden but i can't find it anywhere :(
