    I’m literally watching part 2 now and I have ONE QUESTION?!?! Why isn’t your channel larger?! Your video quality, detail and entertainment is top notch! I look forward in seeing your channel grow. 👌🏾💎🔥

      Good question. We’ve been doing this about 4 years and always joke that we have the slowest growing channel in all of RUclips.

    After watching some of the struggles, I think being disciplined with a rolling pin would be the lesser of two evils. :-)

    • @rebuildit
      @rebuildit  3 года назад +2

      Yeah but did you see the size of that rolling pin?

    FYI the locking module water damage was most likely caused by water leak around the spoiler mounting studs. Very common problem on the Crossfire SRT6. Will most likely re-occur if you don't reseal them

    Almost done by part 2? This ought to be one of the quickest rebuilds ever! Being that most of this has been electrical work, how have you enjoyed it compared to more mechanical projects?

    • @rebuildit
      @rebuildit  3 года назад +1

      It’s a nice change to not have to be doing bodywork. It has its own set of challenges, but we like the brainwork instead of the physical work once in a while. Thanks for watching!

    Hi I also have 05 crossfire convertible, in ca we have had a lot of rain and I can hear water sloshing around on floor board of passenger side. I lifted passenger mat and it was soaked though we have had 4 days of no rain and carpet has seem to dry out but can hear water and the smell is awful. I had a Miata many years ago and it had drain holes that clogged but I can’t find any info that crossfire has drain holes. I watch your video and see that it is beyond clearing drain holes with wire hanger. Was the water on passenger side of car? Any info would be appreciated.
    Also, I see title of your video is about electrical, I have had issue for years, my husband pulled some fuses out of frustration we replace battery multiple times, when we took it in they couldn’t find anything. I believe another time they said we had to replace computer, which was thousands.
    But One thing I wanted to share. I haven’t been able to adjust my seats for years, I had been out with my sister and dropped her off at home, I pulled out of her neighborhood to main road when I thought is my seat moving? the back, not the seat, I tried to arch my back and stop it but there was no way, I was clicking the handle frantically with no success, thankfully there wasn’t a lot of traffic and was approaching a stop sign, so I was able to pull over before I was completely pinned. My mind was racing, i could not believe this was happening!! I was starting to panic, I was laughing and crying, as I accessed my predicament, I realized I couldn’t reach my phone/purse, it was on the floor, I also new if i open door I couldn’t shimmy out, my breasts were painfully pressed against steering wheel, and I couldn’t get a full breath, I thought as last resort I was gonna have to waive down another driver, I imagine passerby’s, a team of firefighters, trying to remove me from my car, how embarrassing 🤦🏻‍♀️. After what seem like forever. I continually move the seat adjustment handle, cars are passing and because I’m not completely off road there looking at me, as I waiting for the next car, my seat moves back, 😤omg I was so relieved and made a mad dash home.after that my husband pulled that fuse. 😂😳

      Wow! What a story. Yes these cars are plagued with electrical issues. They are really made by Mercedes. If they’ve been wet, I’d replace those side switches on the seats if it were mine. I found some used ones on eBay. The only way to really dry out that foam under the carpet is to do what I did in our videos. I think there were three episodes on that car that showed it all.

    Did you find out where the water was getting in? I have the same problem with a crossfire convertible

    • @rebuildit
      @rebuildit  2 года назад

      Ours was a salvage flood car. Car was stuck in a creek or somewhere where water got in through the rear vents. A lot of these cars have leaks around rear spoiler just from rain.

    I am trying to remove the passenger seat in my Crossfire and have the same situation you had here. I could get to the front seat bolts but not the back. At the 7:20 or so mark you said you released the clips on the front to pop the seat cushion up. How did you release the clips? I can't figure it out and I am afraid I am going to break something if I continue. Great video!

      Thanks! It’s been a long time since we shot that, but it seems like there was a plastic pin or something that I pulled out and then was able to twist those sideways to get them off the bar. If you go to 10:20 it shows them from a side view.

    Congrats on your recent buy. I bought a limited with 142,000 I paid $1500 for my car. So far had it painted and now the clutch went out . My car is a 6 speed manual . The cost for replacing clutch and fly wheel over $2000. I only have one working key but I have 2 remotes . One of my keys broke open and I lost the transponder chip so be very careful. I wanted toknow if you found anyone who makes new transponder chips or new flip keys remotes.? Back a few yrs the remote cost almost 1/3 the price of the car. I did some custom stuff on my Crossfire like I can change all dash lights to any color I like . I did LED strips in the tail lights a few cool things. How much did you pay for your car with parts to fix it? Thanks for sharing your project

      Thanks for watching our channel. Sounds like you have done a lot to and are enjoying your Crossfire. That’s what they’re all about! Sorry to hear about the clutch though. I haven’t done any research on the remotes. Makes sense that they would be expensive since they are Mercedes. We will have one more episode soon on the Crossfire and it will be the finale where we break down all the prices of what the project cost. So stay tuned!

    Had this car and regret selling it. Only did because wife lost job. If anyone knows how much he sold this car for I would really like to know... Still to buy one again someday.
