In this episode shit hits the fan but Super Dave just grabs his tools and does the work of 10 men. Dodge parts continue to be on back order, stay tuned.
You are a beast when it come to building cars. I really enjoy watching you. You know your stuff and you don't take short cuts . I hope to meet you one day. I Know you gonna turn heads at Sema with that charger. I watched you build it from the very beginning its mind blowing. 👌 👌 👌
Dave your talent amazes me I guess from the early years watching you on Trevors Chanel I should of known but yea You got the skillz to pay the billz 4 sure thanks from Vermont
I hit an elk in a Freightliner 30' box truck back in 2008, the angle that the elk was at impact caused the truck hop into an embankment crushing the entire right side without rolling it.
There’s an old saying “clean as you go and the job will be easier at the end” rarely does anyone including myself pay it much heed but when I do it turns out to be true. As it applies here you need to stop and clean up your work area finding and noting down storage locations (that are out of harms way) for every thing you take off and either strip and toss or put back. Working in a cluttered mess is dangerous. You lose things damage things and risk hurting yourself.
This project is awesome can’t wait to see it done. Your skills are amazing the projects just keep getting better and better. Keep up the great work and content love watching the process on all your cars.
Ma brotha that durango is making more progress 💪...i feel as exited as you....can't wait for the upcoming video 📹 🙌 and when i saw the cut on the other durango, the person did a awesome job on cutting it out...well as always brotha blessings 🙌 🙏
Any time we had a cut section like that it was a personal challenge to see how many things we could cut through and leave bolted in. The goal was always to make it look cut in half movie effects style. If we're cutting it up it's gonna be entertaining at least.
You can use a soft cloth and jeweler's rouge powder to polish the scratches from the glass. We used to use it in new windscreens that we imported into NZ from China many years ago.
Hey dave try replacing the hood hinges first before replacing the entire hood, that might be your issue, by the way loving this Durango build man, keep the great work 🔥
I'd say with that hood, I imagine it's actually the hood hinges that are tweaked maybe, rather than the hood itself? Unless you can see wavey-ness in the actual panel?
You're correct. It's not the hood. Putting a small crease in a piece of copy paper doesn't change the fact that's it's still 8.5x11. The damage on the front end has the rails ever so slightly tweaked or, like you say, the hinges are misaligned.
Before you buy the hood please check the hood brackets base on the description of the deer i think it could be the brackets .... because it will be the first point of failure ....
Great video as always,Durango will be sick when you finish this as a project, plus good news about motor, can’t wait till you start swapping drivetrain.👍👍👍😎😎😎
Just like the Hellcat Magnum, I’m going to love this beast too but honestly not as much. I’m a Magnum guy. Had a 05 RT that I gave to my son. He’s hooked now too and wants to do the 2016 SRT8 Charger nose conversion for it.
Brother you the man with this man I like you I'm learning a lot from you brother thank you for your time and showing your subscribers how to do it the right way with patience God bless you brother and thank you once again.💪👍🦍💯
Slightly annoyed that little spray bottle foams better than my professional pump foamer LOL. Dave started spraying I thought "Oh come on!" My "Professional" pump foamer is half that good LOL I need that bottle. :-)
i commented on that video about balancer, i read on some forums that just being Very Hard on the engine their seeing that 2 piece starting to wear and cause severe harmonic vibrations, one even said they replaced all mounts and whole lotta things to only find out balancer was separating. anyway 2 cents
You certainly have a lot of projects going at the moment. It's a pity you couldn't duplicate yourself so that you'd get more done. But, I'm in the same boat myself - too many projects and not enough time.
@@Junkyard_Dave When the Iron's hot you gotta strike, when the river floats a Durango you gotta grab it because there won't be a second chance...too many projects. So little time!!!
Why don’t you get new hood hinges first? There are pretty cheap and always get mess up. Your hood might line up really good after new hood hinges. I had that luck before 👍🏻
Hey Dave I just got back from a Dodge dealership in New Jersey and they had your RUclips video of the magnum wagon build on the screen congrats
You should have filmed it
I'm from jersey were at?
Yeah because they know Dave is a professional at rebuilding things .
This Durango project is reminding me more and more of the Magnum Wagon project with each new video.
16 hours later I get a push notification while I've already watched it.
People like Dave don't get enough credit on RUclips for me run them sub up for this guy been watching him for 2 years know
Before you give up on the hood, check the upper engine bar is square, and level. If slightly low or out of square would give the same gap issues
Not gonna lie Dave knows how to do some good ass bodywork I think it’s gonna look brand new when you’re done
Well done Dave
Keep up the good work

Thanks for the update! You make it look easy.
Sick, Stoke to see this back on the road!!
Mixing it up and movin at speed...great video.
Bro I like watching your videos, I’m from the Bahamas 🇧🇸
Dave your talent amazes me I guess from the early years watching you on Trevors Chanel I should of known but yea You got the skillz to pay the billz 4 sure thanks from Vermont
Dave you are phenomenal, the way you rebuild your cars, that takes a lot of skill. Keep up the good work 👍🏿💯
Thanks
Great job so far, you best get some old wool blankets to protect the interior. Cheers from Australia
Hey Dave. Make sure you check the hood hinges. A little movement of those will throw the hood out of whack also.
Love the channel your attention to Detail is a Absolutely incredible keep up the great work cant wait to see how this beast comes out 🏎💨🇺🇸
I like seeing a progress on the truck awesome videos
Love the progress Dave 🕺🏻can’t but can wait to see this beaut running again
Hey Dave,
I got my Rampage tshirt and it just Rocks! Thanks a lot. Keep up these Awesome videos. I love your stuff man!
Thanks for the support ✌
You Know it.......
Dave you are the mopar man!
Dave you should grab that new spot weld drill from Trevor for around the doors to save time!
Drill bits are faster
Clear metal polish will help with glass scratches. I used it when I was in school.
I hit an elk in a Freightliner 30' box truck back in 2008, the angle that the elk was at impact caused the truck hop into an embankment crushing the entire right side without rolling it.
Impressive work Dave! You def only see the possibilities, awesome! 👍👍👍
MY BROTHER DAVE REALLY KILLING THE GAME, @DODGE SHOULD DO A DEAL WITH YOU!!

dude thats the old style hatch.... youd have to do some modifications to make the race track light work in it. I know because I did one.....
wich? wiring or metal?
This project is awesome can’t wait to see it done. Your skills are amazing the projects just keep getting better and better. Keep up the great work and content love watching the process on all your cars.
Awesome as all outdoors 👍🏾
Wow, can’t wait.

Too funny, they even cut the windshield in half
Any time we had a cut section like that it was a personal challenge to see how many things we could cut through and leave bolted in. The goal was always to make it look cut in half movie effects style. If we're cutting it up it's gonna be entertaining at least.
Dave you a mastermind
I'm more impressed that the back quarter window somehow didn't break in the wreck.
Dave you are doing one helluva great job on this suv . Keep up the great work and God Bless. 💯👍👍🙏🙏✌😊✌
Super dave!!!! Welcome back my friend.
as usual Dave, great work and thanks for the updates.
Is it me or this guy doesn't get any hate.
I say we need to start hating on him to build up his subscribership in algorithm
Durango is looking good. Guessing by weeks end you'll be starting it up.
Keep the vids coming. Always a welcomed surprise to see updates.
2:00... flip a coin, heads it becomes wall art, tails, it fixes your Durango...
You really meant cut it curren the middle.. I should have been expected the next scene, but I didn't 🤣 🤙🏿
Love watchin your builds dave salute
You can use a soft cloth and jeweler's rouge powder to polish the scratches from the glass. We used to use it in new windscreens that we imported into NZ from China many years ago.
The hatch, you’re going to need to rewire it and drill new holes for the race track lamp.
Hey dave try replacing the hood hinges first before replacing the entire hood, that might be your issue, by the way loving this Durango build man, keep the great work 🔥
Very helpful,I have a Durango 21 myself and trying to repair it.thks
Wow a slice of Durango never seen that before
New hoodhinges and a little hammer and dolly work on that hood and it'll be good as new I guarantee it
Dave. You’re an animal. You have more projects going than I would care to tackle. I don’t know how you keep it all in order.
You and khal srt r the top hellcat related channels IMO
Damn dave your jumping on this rebulid quickly i know you get this beast a sec chance in life quick pretty soon loving were is going so far 👌
As always great job dave
I'd say with that hood, I imagine it's actually the hood hinges that are tweaked maybe, rather than the hood itself? Unless you can see wavey-ness in the actual panel?

Hinges are tweaking, replace hinges, repairing the hood edges is not easy but labor is cheap 😆
Before you buy the hood please check the hood brackets base on the description of the deer i think it could be the brackets .... because it will be the first point of failure ....
Check the hood hinges for bends before you replace the hood. It appears the hood is just crooked because the hinges bent.
Wow! They actually even cut the windows 🤣😂
You gotta send the airbags out so that way you will have them when car is almost done
Boy I wish we could get cars like that in Australia.what a beast it would be
Yup build that Rango and find another hellcat drivetrain 👍 liking this build Dave ... welcome to Dave's hellcat emporium.... lmao 😂😆
The hatch will fit but the newer ones are updated and are a lil different. The one you got is from 2011-2013.
Great video as always,Durango will be sick when you finish this as a project, plus good news about motor, can’t wait till you start swapping drivetrain.👍👍👍😎😎😎

Posi loc pullers Dave👌

You are doing a great job ty for the content!! Can’t wait to see this monster!!
Slightly annoyed that little spray bottle foams better than my professional pump foamer LOL. Dave started spraying I thought "Oh come on!" My "Professional" pump foamer is half that good LOL I need that bottle. :-)
Awesome work!! Love the content..
I bet the driver side hood hinge has a slight rack too it also.
The dealer sticker on the rear hatch is from Norfolk, Virginia lol
Goonzquad re built a track hawk with basically the same damage from a roll over
They couldn’t have done it without Vtuned. He did the hardest part for them.
Damn! I would love to find a wrecked Durango Hellcat with a good engine - I'd throw the engine into my 2021 Durango RT, Tow N Go!
@JUNKYARD DAVE A battleships hull was 12.5 inches thick in steel. Never sounded tinny to me. LOL
Hell yeah brother
Good job
You good brother keep up the video
Bet you that fan just moved the outside of the dampner off the rubber.
In South Jersey, don't care abt distance too much, but I can't seem to find any junk yards with two Durango doors. Would love some recommendations.
Good work David!
Dude you are seriously gifted. Wish you were in WI lol I would have never let the insurance company keep my Infiniti fx35 lol
i commented on that video about balancer, i read on some forums that just being Very Hard on the engine their seeing that 2 piece starting to wear and cause severe harmonic vibrations, one even said they replaced all mounts and whole lotta things to only find out balancer was separating. anyway 2 cents
Hey Dave what about the Radiator, the fins look messed up.
I bought a 99 durango and the engine had a horrible vibration. I bought a new pulley and she runs smooth as glass now
check the hood hinges they might be your problem they always seem to bend throwing your hood alignment off!!!!!
You certainly have a lot of projects going at the moment. It's a pity you couldn't duplicate yourself so that you'd get more done. But, I'm in the same boat myself - too many projects and not enough time.
That would be the best because then I wouldn't have to pay people to not work lol
I just sold two cars I've been hanging onto for many years because exactly this
@@Junkyard_Dave When the Iron's hot you gotta strike, when the river floats a Durango you gotta grab it because there won't be a second chance...too many projects. So little time!!!
Good content.
Awesome project Dave ;)
You are making quick progress on this Durango. Is the Charger waiting for parts again?
Waiting for me to build the tube subframes
What’s up Dave .
13:45 Be glad you don't have to steal cars for a living... 😂
Have you tried putting the alternator /auxbelt on an trying to start as some cars with electric steering have a signal from charging system
Why don’t you get new hood hinges first? There are pretty cheap and always get mess up. Your hood might line up really good after new hood hinges. I had that luck before 👍🏻
nice work ..
Hey Dave how's that 1/4 Durango you picked up driving? Nice!!!! Work Son!!
You should start calling yourself Mopar Dave at this point lmao, this is, what rebuild number 4 or 5 of newer mopars?
The hood hinges maybe bent an out of wack an not the hood itself
The hatch is from an 11 - 13, and the racetrack tailight system is different but not to the point that you can't do the wiring interface.
