if anyone is planning to go to castle or chimsee or both , i will suggest to read about king ludwig 2 a little and what were his way of thinking for building those things , also go to the bridge if you go to castle

I would like to recommand you some other places you should not miss: Augsburg, Landsberg, Wieskirche, Kempten, Lindau, Nördlingen, Ottobeuren, Landshut, Regensburg, Passau.
We were in Bavaria for 3 weeks. These are just some ideas that you can pick and choose from. But we always love spending at least 2 weeks to a month in a place.

Dachau (Altstadt) to the north is beautiful and Herrsching/Ammersee/Andechs monastery and beer garden to the south are well worth the trip.
When it comes to beer I would recommend a visit to the beautiful city of Bamberg famous for its smoked beers
