I think there should be a thread about bands that move mountains. I love the Ablack Doldrums album, it has gotten a lot of spins. I am interested in that album from the band whose name can not be pronounced. That would be a cool band name. Loved the temple at the opening, it appeals to my desire of travel. Pack up some meat sticks and see the world
Hey Steve. I think one thing everyone can agree on is that we should all pack up our meat sticks and see the world. Well, maybe not everybody. All mountain related albums would be a good thread for sure. Plenty to mine there. Cheers!
I could totally tell that you’re behind schedule from where you normally are this time of week. You should try taking your skateboard to those Thai ruins/palaces. I always feel better after a few hours of rail slides and Ollie’s and that looks like the perfect spot for some stair setting
Looks like my reply got deleted. It was a pretty good reply, I must say. Something about grinding in Jerusalem on some historic religious sites and how much Satan loves it when we do that.
@@TheVinylDouche they always delete the best replies. Gotta be careful what you say about "Izzy." I should have known that is a religious site ... I've been watching a lot of skate videos, and ... anyway, no offense intended. You were talking about the Sundays - a band that reminds me of them is the Innocence Mission. You probably know them, they've been around since the 90's, maybe the 80s. They have a new album out in a few weeks. They've been sort of hit and miss since "Befriended" though...
@CBCDs Yeah, it has actually happened a few times where I reply and it says there is a reply but when I click the reply it is empty. I am a fan of Innocence Mission. Or, at least I was back in the day. I’ve got no issues with skateboarding on religious sites. But, I am a devout Satanist.
Not an aneurysm. Probably just malaria or something. Maybe an early sign of blindness? You have been hitting the meat sticks a bit hard but I think that's just an urban myth. I first encountered ALVILDA a few weeks ago on Bandcamp. The album wasn't out but you could hear one song and I recall being favorably impressed. Lots of good stuff this week. You're going to have me buying 2024 music well into next year. Feel better soon, Sam.
I wouldn’t rule anything out. There is no doubt I can get carried away with the meat sticks - and it turns out they aren’t the modern miracle drug we all think they are. Thanks for hanging. Cheers!
I was so excited on this one because I could pronounce the title of the Alvilda album since I took French in junior high - I have forgotten most of it, but I CAN pronounce that title without issue (and pretty much know what it said as well) - This is the hour. Looked it up after I wrote that - nope, translates to It's about time. I probably could have faked it enough with my wrong translation, but I wanted to come clean. I feel like I have let you down. My wife hates Kristen Steward. Hates her. I watched Love Lies Bleeding when she was out of town.
I never took French myself. When I was a kid I went to France several times, but clearly didn’t pick up much of anything. I’m glad you came clean on the translation - it’s important to be honest with yourself on these things. I actually wasn’t much of a KS fan myself initially but warmed up to her quite a bit. Cheers!
I'm boycotting all mountain bands and going with ALVILDA for the holidays. Stronger liquer drink like that clear from the mountains of Ark./TN/NC will clear that head thing right up.
I think it is pretty hard to get my hands on moonshine right now. There is some pretty vicious cheap rice whiskey available. Like drinking butane. May have to give that a whirl. Cheers!
Interesting batch of records as always Sam. Sounds like you could do an entire video on the mountain moving theme.
Hey Randy. Definitely could be a huge thread - all the mountain related albums. Hope all is well in the music city. Cheers!
Great video. I’m new to the VC. I love French pop, and the Alvilda album just went on my want list! Thanks. Cheers
Welcome. Glad you dug the Alvilda - so much good music out of France. Thanks for hanging out. Cheers!

Vikings T-shirt on point. LPs too. Love Alvilda LP
Hopefully those Vikings can make a little run in the playoffs. We’ll see. Thanks for watching. Cheers!

@@TheVinylDoucheI just recently discovered that my youngest son is Satan. Well he’s a devil but… maybe someday
@CBCDs Devil👹👺💀🪦🙈🪬

You don't want an aneurysm. A mild stroke perhaps. Black doldrums are cool. Reminds me of early 80s goth. Cheers!
You’re right. I’d love a mild stroke. Not sure I could be so lucky to have one - but I’ll definitely keep my fingers crossed. Cheers!
@TheVinylDouche I had one im good!
