The biggest tip I’d give anyone and everyone trying to do a headstand with the proper balance is practice! You don’t realize how much all those failed attempts are actually massive wins in teaching your body what to do and what not to do etc, I practiced a few times a week for four to five months with additional weekly yoga as well and it’s finally come to the point where I don’t need to try extra hard to get my core engaged and keep my shoulders strong, it’s almost like muscle memory now and it really pays off and feels good to get to this point, practice as much as you need to and you will 100% get better stronger!
This is legit! Was able to do a headstand on my first day of practice. Didn't even know it was possible! Your tips on the hands, the center of the head and how to carry my legs up really help.
I will come here and edit everyday for my headstand journey💕 Day one: I can lift my legs but can't balance in the air so I had to tuck n roll😂I don't feel any pain from doing it so I can call this is a great start. Day two to five: I did not attempt any headstand since I was on period Day six: I can now balance with my knees bent in the air. But my wrists hurt a lot for now😂 current process at 10:10 Week two: I can now do headstand with one folded leg😍 I will keep trying till I get the full headstand.
I DID IT!!!! Now I will work on this a bit and I hope that you have a forearm headstand as well!!! Thank you sooooo much! And I'm 43 in September and that was the first time I have ever done that!!!! WOOOOOOHOOOOO!!!
I thought I was having trouble engaging my core after I couldn’t stay up for long after practicing for a week or so but then I did it perfectly while stoned in a parking lot so a lot of it is getting over the fear of falling even if you don’t think you have one
Haha well you found your problem then didn't you! Fear of falling can really restrict our bodies from actually moving into the poses we want to. So glad you got it :) !
I've just watched this video like 4 or 5 times and managed to do it, usually I'd always use a wall but this helped me through my fear and I managed to do a headstand thank you so much! The bunny hop was the biggest help ever!
I literally was doing the beginning steps and i was like there's no way I can do this and I shit you not 2 mins later I did the whole ass stand like it was nothing. You're a great teacher , thank you for helping me achieve something I never thought I'd be able to do 💗
This is honestly the best tutorial!! Thank you so much I got my first headstand 5 minutes into the viddo, it only lasted like 2 seconds but I'm so proud of myself thank yo7
Heey, thanks so much I just tried it today and am already halfway through 😄😄am so happy. I just want to tell anyone reading this that it's so much possible . I used to say I can't try such thing for the fear of falling over but I didn't. Overcome that fear guys and just try it .
You are the best teacher ever! I have watched a lot of videos. read a lot of articles, and none of them explained how to get into a good starting pose like you did, which did the trick for me. I managed to do it and repeat my success though I spent quite a bit of this tutorial giggling like a child from sheer excitement and joy. I feel confident I can do this again on my own now! Thank you.
Omg I can believe I Just did a head stand, I have been trying to do it for so long, but this video really made me do it just follow her instructions very carefully and you can do it too, I did it next to the wall just because that felt safe but by following her instructions and after being able to do it now I learnt that it is actually not that difficult, thank you 😊🤗
The best headstand tutorial ever I am a beginner to yoga and did it in a few minutes after a few failures, always remember every failure is a lesson and keep trying you will also get it soon
I need to say, I was really frustrated those days... I always did - since years - with my back in the wall and then I decided to practice a bit far and I got scared and couldn't go up anymore. I tried now and I finally did it!!!!!!!!!! I got so exited that I couldn't stay in the position anymore but I'm really happy, I could found and feel my balance for the very first time. I'm really happy and exited to practice more and more. Thank you for the video ❤️
Thanks for showing how to fall safely with the tuck and roll. Once I learned that I wasn’t as scared to practice away from a wall and I progressed much faster and got into my headstand today. Just day 2 of practicing!! You explained this so much better than any other instructor so I am now a subscriber to your channel and can’t wait to see the rest of your content!
I've been trying to nail this since more than a month now....but couldn't gather courage to do it without a wall and so failed to learn it properly. Yesterday, suddenly I watched this vdo, and today I'm doing it perfectly (without balancing on a wall), and I'm amazed. Thank u soo much for these good tips.
Thanks, darling 💓 I got my first headstand on the fourth day. I am in lockdown once again. I can't believe myself, I fell so many times, I tried a lot to achieve this time. Guys nothing is impossible. I'm sending you LOVE from China 🇨🇳
oh my days! so I decided today to learn headstand and I started going through some youtube tutorials but this one is THE ONE, thank you very much!! I DID IT!!
belly bob not really but it only took me around half an hour to do it, at first I skipped through the video so I didn’t listen carefully to her instructions which are IMPORTANT, but then I replayed the video and did it with her👍🏼
OMG OMG TYSM THIS IS THE BEST TUTORIAL YET IVE WATCHED DOZENS OF VIDS TO GET MY HEADSTAND AND NONE OF THEM WORKED UNTILL I CAME UPON THIS VID NOW I CAN DO MY HEADSTAND
No way! I did it! I’m still a little wobbly trying to keep my legs straight up, but I did it just literally while watching this video. Thank you! Subbed, maybe I’ll even get into yoga a little 🤷🏼♀️💙
This inspired me so much. I am always so nervous to fall while doing inversion that I would practice them against a wall every time. But watching you fall on purpose really motivated me and today I actually fell from my headstand on purpose. Before doing it I was so anxious but I closed my eyes and did it and felt really free. Glad I did that , and I was actually able to fall at least 6 times .So proud and happy . Thanks a lot🤗 sending love❤❤
I didn't think this was possible for me... But surprisingly this tutorial was quite helpful. It's my third day practicing and I have already managed about 90%! Thanks
I really appreciate that you also showed us how to fall properly 😂 Did that twice to overcome my fear and that really helped me do a headstand in less than a day. Will continue practicing tho. This is the best headstand tutorial for sure!
This is so sweet. You have an athletic body type but you go down to other people level to teach them. That is very kind of you and typical of USA and UK. I have learn to run, self defense, punch, kick, doing pushup, splits and other flexibility exercises from the USA and UK. Above all, I receive all my Bible teachings from the USA and UK. In this world of fear, living by Faith in the Word of God is necessary. Jesus is Lord. Thank you so much for your time and videos. I am so grateful.
Thank you so much! I've been practicing yoga for over a year and was always afraid to do a headstand. Today I managed to do my first headstand against a wall which I took as support. I have faith that I will soon be able to do it without the support of a wall! 😊 May God bless your kind heart for helping me ♥️
Thank you so much for taking the time to explain how to do the headstand in such detail and with such kindness and patience! I really appreciate it! I have been intimidated with trying it, however I am interested in beginning to take steps to do it. Thank you again!!!🙏🤗
Ive watched tons and tons of videos for learning headstand but idk never succeeded.... i just tried following your method and i was finally able to lift myself up slightly IM SO GLAD!!!!!! Thnx a lot :D
This is an excellent headstand tutorial. You taught in an accessible way that can work for so many people. I love how much detail you gave in all of the work up to the headstand.
oh my God! THANKS! i was stuck on that third step and then you mentioned the magical word: HOP! i have always been trying to lift without that momentum and eventually collapsing down after 3 secs. thanks a lot! you made me a happier yogi today❤️
Love u girl...❤❤ I have searched for this video from last year.. but I think finally I found the best video.. Definitely I will come back and proudly say I have done it...
This is the best tutorial out there. She explains it so well and the the little falling tutorial helped a lot. I’m on my 3rd day and I just need a little more practice
I can't believe it:)))) Ridiculously this was suggested randomly, in 2 third of the video I told myself does it work? At my very first attempt I did it. Thanks:))
Could you do a tutorial for handstands similar to this please? I followed your tutorial and managed to surprise myself into doing a headstand. I like the fact that now I focus on my core and balance, rather than just throwing myself into doing a headstand. Child's pose is a such a good tip! Grounds me when I feel like I've failed.
The best advise (from a psychological perspective) if you fall (I certainly did and it was scary) keep going. Don‘t stop there. Try it again. Because your body will remember that you fell and you will maybe be afraid to do it again if you don‘t try it immediately after your fall! And after the fall I knew what I did wrong, so that brings your closer to your goal ;)
Holy crap, at first I was having trouble getting both of my knees up, so I tried to lift my hips as much as possible, then jumped my other leg up.... I overdid it and ended up doing a tumble. Holy God. I was so scared for my neck lmao.
Omg finally!!! I was struggling forever.. I didn’t even think it would have been the placement of my arms that was the issue! I did it for the first time 😍
U r most powerful and beautiful top class yoga teacher in the world. Thanks for your good advice and spreading your love and skillfull knowledge to all yoga prectioner.
Well done. I'm envious! How long did you practice every day? Ten minutes? Ten hours? I've just gone too far and crashed to the side into the wall. Undeterred though. 6' 4" and 44
Such a good explanation, I‘m going to try this and hopefully can do a proper headstand in a few months. A 'how to do handstands' would be cool as well. Greetings from Germany 🌼
I watched this tutorial at the beginning of my trainning and definetely was the key to put my head on the right place and kept going. Thank you sooooo much! you´re a great teacher!
Ommgggg yesssss!!! I didn’t do it but I finally got that balance-y feeling and my one leg lifted up on its own accord!!! And I actually lifted off and slammed into my drawers BUT THAT WAS SO FUN!!! Btw I’m not very flexible. Day 2: did some stretches with a piece of cloth today not sure if that helped and pumped 2kg of dumbbells. AND I ACTUALLY LIFTED BOTH LEGS but just bent at the knee BUT I LIFTED BOTH LEGS
Great Video, what I do advise other learners though aswell is to not interconnect the fingers with one another, as it can hurt when you roll back and maybe cause injury. Instead hold both fists against each other and proceed the headstand in that position. This takes away the risk of injuring your fingers when recovering from falling backwards.
Thanks, I never thought yoga could be this fun. Decided to watch this video and was motivated to try this out for the first time after seeing how easy to follow you've made this. Lifting both legs up was so easy💃💃💃😍. I managed to raise one leg straight with the other leg curled up, but wasn't well balanced. I'll keep practicing and now get started with some beginner level yoga😁🙏
By simply following her instructions, I did a head stand but with my legs curled. Managed to lift one up but wasn't very straight and an attempt to lift the second one got me losing balance. But like I mentioned, I am a beginner who has never attempted anything in yoga. Can only imagine what I'll be able to do next time. Well taught❤
Thank you soooo much!! I'm in my first week of yoga and this posture was my first goal. Thanks to your tips I did it in my third day of practice! Today (sixth day practice) I was able to stay in the position for 1 minute!!!! =)
Thank you so much! I finally made it (against a wall though). I tried once with the typically wrong kicks that you mentioned, and injured my pelvis (not very serious, just bruise and pain for several weeks). I thought it was because I wasn’t strong or flexible enough. Now I understand that I just need to know the proper way.
Omg 😱 ❤❤❤❤❤❤thank you sooo sooo sooo much omg I’m even so emotional I’ve never done this before but how you slowly explained gosh my first try PERFECT I swear no one would believe me if I’d say it’s my first time thank you so much 🙏🏿
Oooh, yeah 💪, thank you, thank you, thank you! I could doing the head stand a vew weeks ago, but since two weeks I can't do it again. Today I saw your video, and juppy 😁, it is going again, and now I now what I made wrong 👍! Best redards from Austria, and thank you
thank you so much I finally got the balance down I watched a different video but you explaining the placements and using a guide got me to my first handstand ! ❣️
I practiced your steps for about 10 minutes after watching the video fully expecting that I would not get into a headstand but wow I did it. Couldn't straighten my legs but very proud of myself. Thank you for making this.
The biggest tip I’d give anyone and everyone trying to do a headstand with the proper balance is practice!
Omg thank u so much this is my first day doing this and like many tries I marked it up a little thank u!!
Thank you soooo much!! I'm in my first week of yoga and this posture was my first goal. Thanks to your tips I did it in my third day of practice! Today (sixth day practice) I was able to stay in the position for 1 minute!!!! =)
Oh WOWWW this is amazing. Go you! I am so happy I could help you in any way :) x
Omg 😱 ❤❤❤❤❤❤thank you sooo sooo sooo much omg I’m even so emotional I’ve never done this before but how you slowly explained gosh my first try PERFECT I swear no one would believe me if I’d say it’s my first time thank you so much 🙏🏿
Hey! Thanks for the technique. It really helps. I was able to do a headstand on my 3rd day with wall support:)
I will definitely be trying this for the first time as a 41 year old! And man you are so adorable!
Oooh, yeah 💪, thank you, thank you, thank you! I could doing the head stand a vew weeks ago, but since two weeks I can't do it again. Today I saw your video, and juppy 😁, it is going again, and now I now what I made wrong 👍! Best redards from Austria, and thank you
Thank you. I managed to do a headstand after 7 days. Great tutorial!

This is the best handstand tutorial I've ever seen... ❤️💗
thank you so much I finally got the balance down I watched a different video but you explaining the placements and using a guide got me to my first handstand ! ❣️
I practiced your steps for about 10 minutes after watching the video fully expecting that I would not get into a headstand but wow I did it. Couldn't straighten my legs but very proud of myself. Thank you for making this.
