READREADREAD!! Chase me charlie 20. December on the last xmas show. I've done the chase me charlie on 2 out of 4 xmas shows, at the 1st show we cleared 1.70m and didn't go higher, this time we also cleared up to 1.70m/5'6 so we attempted 1.80-1.85m, 6'1ft. I had kind of a bad day, I didn't find a good rythm and didn't follow him good over the fence, so it was totally my fault that he knocked it first. But what a star for trying, he's 17.1hh aka 1.73 cm, this fence is 7 cm/3 inches bigger than him! And as you can see, it's also bigger than my instructor and friends ..
This was my and my horse's second time jumping over 1.50m/5ft, and our first time attempting 1.85m. He's a 10 year old danish warmblood standing at 17.1hh aka 1.73 cm, and I'm 16 and have owned him for 5 months.
Before I got him he competed up to 1.25m and I competed up to 1m.

This horse is an angel really. Only knocking one pole! All these haters are saying ‘I’ve jumped higher’ or ‘that’s easy’, well I’d like to see YOU try it then.
LAURENII
she actually didn’t knock the pole she tried again and did it!
oh my god... Can i just say i WANT this horse... What he just jumped with that rider on top is ridiculous!!! He is a SAINT!!
I know! Check out some of the videos where they are jumping 6-8 feet!
And with that speed I mean they were kind of slow but that was so clean it was soft and chill just like it should be!
Girl no one is perfect
@@lega6557 You're right no one is perfect, but if I know I'm not good enough for such a height, I'll let it go! The poor horse, any other horse would not even have jumped off with such a rider who did nothing. Because for such a height the rider has to support his horse! Nothing against the rider, but that's the way it is!
@@DD-ml5jw Everybody has bad days. I’m not saying it’s impossible for this to be how she always jumps, but it is possible that it’s not. Everybody has off days and that doesn’t mean you should stop riding.
Omg that horse is a saint. Take care of her/him
I wish to see all those haters to jump at least 1,40m. Ok, you make mistake but who doesn't? People who are jealous always have the most to say. Keep listening your trainer because you are making progress. Congrats :)
Then give me a horse that doesn’t stop over small ass jumps randomly
@Kassidy Elkins you are absolutely correct
@Kassidy Elkins They put it on the internet because they wanted to? Maybe so that others could see that mistakes are okay. Yes, she needs to learn to release, but she’s not a shitty person for it. That horse will take care of her as she learns proper form.
@Kassidy Elkins like you said you've never jumped that high...idk how high you've jumped but this girl DOES know how to release the horses face, as to why this horse didnt get his face "ripped off". It's the nervousness of jumping high mixed with how much power comes with your horse pushing off the ground. She released and when she realized she was falling back, she loosens the reins almost down to the buckle. You can see the horse still has full motion with his head/neck. Her reins were even loose to begin with. My first time jumping 1.65-1.70 meters, my horse pushed so hard off the ground the only thing I could do was push my hands all the way up his neck like a little kid "reaching for the ears" with my butt almost behind the back of the saddle. These things don't happen all the time which was why her horse didn't hesitate. Instead of focusing on the bad like falling back when she wasn't really sure what to expect with this height, you can notice how she doesn't drop her horse before the jump, she lands lightly, she stays balanced although she wasn't ready for the power and thought enough to push her hands forward and let the reins through her hands and supports the horse through the jump. On the jump on the other side of the arena, you can see her do a crest release, she knows how to release. That height is intimidating and she rode it well and the horse did great for her. I think my favorite thing is that, although she fell back early, she released the reins and the horse still landed calm and collected with barely any contact with the bit. A very well trained horse and the rider rode the mistake well. You can't always ride every jump well but I wouldn't say this was a bad jump simply because she let the reins slip through her fingers.
@Kassidy Elkins I am 5 years and 4 months late but what they mean is that... No one is perfect. Plus giving this advice and critique from the comments section of a REALLY OLD video is Non-Sense and Useless.
Yeah they could had done it better but we all make mistakes, why pointing them instead of enjoying all the good things? Plus giving advice to someone who jumps a lot higher than you is.... Y'know.
Also about the thing of not posting on the internet a video where you make a mistake is kind of dumb. You can't just wait till you make something perfect to post it.
10 years later and it’s still on my recommended. It’s been here for 2 years 😭
Does anyone look at the date at all before posting a comment? This is like a video from 3 years ago...kinda late now to give 'advice' people

I just realized u posted this last year
It still amazes me how much guts you have, going from your crazy little ponies to such a big powerful horse and you always look great on top of him!! you do so well with him now, you guys will be incredible in years to come!!
NOT THIS MUSCI AFTER THE JOSH HUCHERSON MEME
I was searching for this comment.
All the commenters saying she needs to give a. Better realease etc. If you watch closely she actually lets her reins slip; she opens her fingers and allows the horse to stretch; this is a different kind of release to the usual "crest release" we are taught to do when we first start to jump and it's more of a thing you do in xc or hunting because it lets you keep a secure seat, way back in the saddle lower leg forward, but while still giving your horse it's head. Watch the horses head; he stretches really well and actually stretches right down after the jump.
Yeah I know right
Rammixcuba you are right. She does let her hands loose

Amen to you! Yes he is a great horse but if I make a mistake or mess up he will refuse, he's not a robot. He'll try to help me out at the lower fences, but at this height? No. He's confident with himself and so am I, but he would never completely save my ass over a fence bigger than himself. Thanks! x
😂💕🔥 so funny! you first look like a rider doing 1m jumps... just to do 1.80 a second later! love it! 😂💕🔥
Very good. Your horse has the capability of jumping that height. I just want to point out a couple things that are just bugging me a bit
1. I would suggest getting a much more speed when approaching a jump of that height that's why he stuttered a little bit one the first jump and why he just clears it barely on the next
2. you kind of sit on him over the jump and that makes you pull on his mouth causing him not to be able to arch which contributed to him not being able to clear it successfully.
3. Strengthen your legs
Otherwise you did great
Number 3 what does strengthening her legs have to do with any of this her legs are probably stronger than yours
Sasha The Horse Girl
I agree
Exactly
SS_Eventing you obviously don’t know anything about riding! You need to keep your leg on tight so they have enough speed/momentum to get over the jump!!
Elizabeth Yocom tbh tho anyone would as over a jump that height it’s hard not to
That horse deserves a life of luxuries he or she is AWESOME
9 years later and it’s on my recommended lol
You jumped it so well omg!! ❤️
I keep seeing comments about giving her advice. This video is three dang years old! Jumping that high is incredibly challenging to some people, and I'd like to see you jump that height perfectly
Thank you so much for inspriring me! The horse that I am jumping used to just rear and I thought I'd never jump her. I was going to sell her. I saw all your videos and all the stuff that had happened to you so I got motivation to keep going and try. I have told my mum about you and she thanks you for inspiring me to keep my best friend. My mum cried at your on this team we fight video. My family had some issues a while back where I became depressed; and friendships were failing for me. If I had not seen your video I wouldn't of thought of keeping my horse but as I did she helped me through hard times and continues to do so. THANK YOU SO MUCH X X THERESE MOSER, YOU SAVED A SOUL :)

WAIT WHAT THIS WAS POSTED BEFORE I WAS BORN!?!?
Who got this recommended when this song was a meme
This is the most talented horse that have ever seen!
I watched the video and was excited for her and then i read these comments thinking you guys were just jealous but then watched it again and realized that she is way behind and her horses mouth will be dead when shes done with him!!! but still you should not post these rude comments. help her out by giving tips. dont just be plain rude.
If you watch closely she lets her reins slip, so the horses mouth doesn't get jabbed.
+OneMoreMileAnHour your right but still people shouldn't post these mean comments. Have you even seen her other videos, their great!!
+Kennedi Stratton I agree; I think she rode this well. I was saying that she let the reins slip so the horses mouth didn't get jabbed, therefore the rude comments are obviously from people who have no idea what they're talking about. You can sit back behind the movement while a horse jumps and not jab it in the mouth! You just need to let go of the reins! It's a common thing to do in XC and hunting. I'd have fell off many more times than I have if I leant forward every jump...
+OneMoreMileAnHour yup
needed a bit more leg on the first attempt but my god you are amazing! you two are made for eachother
Those two where absolutely Amazing😍
ik this video was from 7 years ago but woah... you are both so talented!!

you have come on so much! and Conny is a lovely, lovely horse :) its so nice to see how well you two are getting on :)xx
Omg wow! 1.85 that's Olympic height! You must be a great rider with an amazing horse, your can go far with that horse
Not sure if that's meant in a positive or negative way?? But yes he's amazing, one in a million :)
I love how you give him the long rains! 🔥💕
I’m here in august 2024 lol
I-
Dang that’s actually super, super, super impressive. You knocked a pole down but at that point it literally didn’t matter like wow-
That is truly a
AMAZING you inspire me sooo much and I can't believe how much you have come on❤️❤️
incredible partnership :) he is what everyone keeps saying 'honest' but hes also listening to you and your helping him :P An honest horse wont stay honest with a crap rider, but you two suit eachother perfectly! Hes got all the ability and youve got the braveness! go for it both of you :) XXX
Then there’s me jumping 70cm. I started jumping in summer/ autumn
Well done you then, I’ve been riding for 6 years and have jumped up to 80cm, you must have learned really quickly!
@@pizzafur228 it’s normal to be jumping 70+ after a year of riding your learning slowly she isn’t learning fast
AMAZING. I NEED THIS HORSE!
I don't think she deserves the praise or criticism she got for this video. It's not good riding (the horse is a saint!)...BUT the riding isn't THAT bad either. She definitely wasn't ready to jump this height when this video was taken- her seat is too heavy, her legs unsteady and she's getting totally left behind at the jump and has to re-balance herself on his neck after it...but considering she's behind the motion, her release is actually pretty decent imo. Far from ideal, but she doesn't catch him in the mouth. A lot of people would get jumped right out of the tack at this height, even on an absolute packer of a horse.
He saved your ass ! What a golden horse❤️
The reason he didn't jump so well was because you pulled on his mouth and he couldn't lift his head over the jump. He would do better if you loosen the reins a bit and put your hands further up his neck
"I had a bad day I didn't find good rymthem" and "the reson we knocked it was entirely my fault"
can you not read don't make hate comments she does know what happened.
go do one
+Emily Taylor I was giving my opion so why don't *you* get a life
***** Omfg same here so
+Emily Taylor shut up you sound like an idiot
Hattie Mae x your 100% right. She's like that now but even worse. Now she uses tie downs bits Spurs crops, it's just sad. Then she makes a video on her crazy horses that she made rear and someone did a reaction video to it and she cried and made excuses. She cares more about if she matches than if her horse is okay. She's all about competition.
Funny thing about all the hate is that it's a really old video and she's such a good rider now lmao why even waste your time hating on her when she knows her own mistakes
Thats really high! Congrats but I feel kinda bad for the horse because you did 2 point long enough. You did at the beginning and then you just sat there yanking at the horses mouth in the air. I ride with a trainer and she is always telling me to give in the air and make sure not to yank at the horse by not 2 poignant because the horse will not like jumping
You try 1.85 then. I'm sure you'd be nervous and not remember to unfold properly. She was obviously trying her best
You jumped those as if they were small cross rails! So effortlessly and beautiful!
who else is here in 2023 about to be 2024
meeee!
Even knocking down one pole you were a great team together
how do you gallop up to a fence like that and not crap your pants?!?!?! you guys looked awesome
Beautiful horse, Brilliant rider. Well done 👍
Please don't do this that often 😊❤ But very cool!
Johanna_tnme ?
haha she can do whatever tf she wants
It can damage the horse’s legs if you jump high too often
Jojocorn mmm i love the cow from moorland in sso ;)
Pure Equestrian wtf is your problem? She just gave her advice! It is really damaging for the horse's legs to you jump this high too often. If she cares about her horse's health, she will not do whatever tf she wants haha
Wow that's high she should be proud! Seems like a lovely horse😌
Im looking at this in 2020
Same
She is really very strong and her horse too I applaud them 👏
You're going to the Olympics. You and Conny are perfect together
It wasn’t the rider who made the mistake, neither was it their horse’s mistake, it was gravity that made the pole fall.
I literally aspire to be like you and Santo. I WILL DO THIS MARK MY WORDS 😂😂
Jumping machine or what??!! 😍😍😍 Well Done!!
You need to completely stay in a two point over the jump, you kinda just two point and then stand there then lean back, plus he needs a lot more release.
She only got left behind b
dude that jump is 1m 80 id like to see you jump that with perfect eq
I agree but it's so difficult when your horse is struggling to stretch over the fence.
if she kept leaning forward for a really long time then she would eventually fall forward onto his neck.
"I had kind of a bad day, I didn't find a good rhythm and didn't follow him good over the fence, so it was totally my fault that he knocked it." quoted directly from this video's description. It also says at the very beginning "READREADREAD!!" so uh I'm not really sure how you missed that... But you did post this comment about a month ago so I'm sorry for being such an asshole XD
Chase me Charlie on the next level
I really wish I could be that good, I can't even canter yet if tells you anything about how pathetic I am at riding. Your amazing, I've always wanted to jump, but I've never even went over anything more than a trotting pole 😕
Hey just remember ITS The start you'll Get better!
Thank you for the support ❤️
I felt the same way for a long time. I was SO impatient to canter and jump! By the time I got the privilege I understood why my trainer held me back-I realized that I had to improve the basics so I was ready for the hard stuff. Therese probably started with trotting poles like you and I did, keep in mind she's older than some of us and simply has more experience in riding. Stick in there!❤️
Diamond Star Stables in fact I learned to gallop on a race horse before I cantered on a riding school pony 😂
Everyone couldn't canter at one point. You will do it in no time!
Oh my goodness. What an absolute saint 😍😍
I wouldn't listen to these people. You both made that look effortless. Well done :)
Why does everybody keep saying he's honest?! you sound like parrots repeating the same thing and the way its been said is obviously hinting. You've got some balls to be able to ride down to that!! Yes, hes honest along with most of the horses that you see on youtube on a daily basis. i'd have an honest horse any day and i consider it a very good quality to have in a horse, Nobodies perfect. We're all human and can't expect perfection every time, sometimes we need a bit of help. Well done
He's amazing! Well this was not what I (or anyone else?) expected him to do .. Shows that everything is possible if you believe :)
And no I'll keep him thanks ;) Haha x
This is very impressive! Well done to both of you! ❤️🐴
That was high !!!!!!!!!!
Amazing horse!
Try not to pull his mouth off when ever he jumps, put your hands half way up his neck then he will like jumping more and be more honest with you, just some advice :)
Warning: new rider about to enter the Olympics.
OMG NICE!!!!!😱❤️👍🏻
Hi i know This video is 3 years old but i just want to say that This is incredebel! You Are an Amazing rider ❤ dont listen to Anybody other than your self ❤ keep up the good work ❤ (sorry for my english)
