i think id like to dedicate this to my grandpa, a WW2 officer in the 951st Field artillery batallion, he would have loved this, considering those smaller 105mm howitzers, he was in charge of a battery of them.
Victor Sun he actually rode on a few of the M4A3E8 and E2 shermans with the 76mm's they helped pull his artillery pieces through terrain that the trucks couldnt
Anyone else out there recognise the super-catchy trio theme of this march as that used by the Hoover Company for their television jingles during the 1950s and 1960s? "All the dirt, all the grit, / Hoover gets it every bit, / For it beats as it sweeps as it cleans." I gather Hoover copyrighted the words as early as 1922, just five years after Sousa published his march.
My great grandpa was a staff sgt in field artillery somewhere in North Africa during World War II, I wish I knew more about him but I never met him before he passed away. Eternal respect to him. May the US flag fly high forever!
Beautifully played, and i love how in the background, from left to right, you see a large inflatable rainbow arch, then a large building that appears to the uneducated bystander t one a building of education, then a cell tower, then cannons xD So much juxtaposition

Here in the US, Alaska Railroad is the only US railroad that uses Howitzers, only for Controlled Avalanches. If not the only Railroad in the world that uses it.
you can- you know... get over it and just look at it as the "JSDF playing the song" instead as the "evil Imperial Japanese playing song of their sworn enemy"
Why is it so fast? This sucks. Listen at 0.75x it's choppy but at least it doesn't sound like the anime industry shoving tentacles down traditional music's throat.
Are 105mm artillery cannons musical instruments?
Yes,
Yes they are.
**Tchaikovsky intensifies**
At least in the United States of America
@@Messerschmitt_BF_109G_10 Go big or go home no?
Facts
Yes, they are the tenors. 155mm are the baritones, and 8-in are the basses!
I maybe late but the timing of those cannons is so impeccable.
nani its da saunders
@@channelmoved2014 oh ok
Exactly. I love a good old cannon with the US bands, but the Japanese can't be beat when it comes to training to precision.
Saunders high school students will be happy to see these
Kay
Lol
Saunders would be crying of happyness lol
"Hey, remember how Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture used live cannons?"
"Yeah, why do you ask?"
"So you know those 105 mm howitzers we have in storage..?"

Unless he served in the pacific front, that is.
Europe, Battle of the Bulge.
Thanks for your grandpas service
Salute....My father was in Patton's 3rd....687th FAB.....1942-1945
大砲で音合わせるのってめっちゃ難しいのに凄いわ
I didn't know that Saunders was part of the JSDF
The company playing the song is students from saunders high school
I'm expecting a blonde senior highschool girl riding a M4 Sherman.
Kay
Proud of all we have done, fighting till' the battles won. And the Army goes rolling along
**P O W P O W P O W**
They are playing the artillery march not the army anthem
*The Saunders High School students liked that.*
02:15 amazing!!
Japan sure knows how to kick up the America level despite being, you know, JAPAN!
Simply marvelous the sound of the M101 howitzer. Enchanting to say the least. Absolutely spiffing
Them: Canons aren't musical instruments
Tchaikofsky and the US Artillery Corps: hold my beer
Oh my god that timing is just beautiful

Excellent band and gun salutes are just so beautiful!
この曲すきです。演奏のテンポも速く最後の大砲の音も迫力があります。

2nd round of artillery... "WHO DID THAT? PRIVATE PYLE! YOU AGAIN!?" I know it's a marine meme but there's no Army meme out there XD
SCHUUUUUUUUUUULTZ!!!!!
"Was it high, was it low, where the hell did that one go~!"
Love the Halls of Montezuma part!
When the 2nd round miss timing I can already hear someone yelling "PRIVATE PYLE!!!! YOU AGAIN!?"
where was that part?
where?
they were quick on reloading that as well holyshit thats amazing.
Question is where did the shells of the 105s land?
Is a blank shell
Probably blanks

Very impressive indeed.
they love their artillery arent they?
so that's why they bought my 105 mm howitzer.
Very cool!
plot twist: Those cannons were actually randomly shooting China
一門だけFH-70w
Impressive!
Alisa did you really have to bring the m7 preist?
Yes
Yes
Too fast! It would've been easier to time those shots at Sousa speed ( ~120 bpm)
what is the title is played in 1:29
the army goes rolling along/ the cassions go rolling along
Field Artillery March
POV: You are in Saunders university high school
Pravda would have figure out they're using mannequins to stand directly to (their) left of those cannons.
I knew I'd find a GuP reference on this video
Pew.
大砲というか空砲ですね
2:01
Apparently, the band is in such a hurry to finish the song. They have appointment later.
*JGSDF on a Weekend:*
Hi Hi Hee indeed.
The fact that these guys were beaten by the Americans just makes me feel weird listening to this
you can- you know...
get over it and just look at it as the "JSDF playing the song" instead as the "evil Imperial Japanese playing song of their sworn enemy"
I will laugh if I see Japan play the USMC Hymn
I see the Americans have been learning from Tchaikovsky
This is what goes on in my yard every weekend
What would call playing the 105s
A gunner
God bless hamburger land
