    I would get rid of the flocked tray too,m nothing worse than dust in your paint. Price wise this is very good value, about half the price pan for pan as buying a similar known brand loose. There is a set of the well known brand with 24 colours (art nouveau) listed at around the same price in the U.K. so really it is about what colours you want, and how well these perform. From your painting they look pretty comparable. They would make a great starter set if paired with a half decent pad of paper. Maybe a bit overpriced. That flocked tray though ….
    Your paint demo is great and does this set proud.

      Thank you!! :D
      Yeah, the flocking dust was just not compatible with paints here XD
      I can also see myself refilling the empty pans with other paints, it's such a good size of pans.

    Thank you for this review. I bought some and they seem to be nice. Something nice for painting time with my grand-daughters.

    My guess is that these are made in China? I did not see any letters that are Japanese. I think if you have any of Gansai sets that are out there, (Kerutake is not the only one that makes them), you might not need this one. I like your dinner cooking cat campsite vignette. Very cute.

    These might be comparable to the Mozart brand. They have a similar palette that is very budget friendly.

    a dusty flocked tray just seems like an odd design choice😑its just going to get into the paints!

    Are they gansai paints, or just regular watercolour in large pans?

    • @EveBolt
      @EveBolt  3 месяца назад +1

      It would be hard for me to say. I used them as regular watercolours and they worked well :)

    The gansai style pans always grab my attention, even though I have a lifetime's supply of empty pans - I'm still not used to the fact that you can just buy the pans these days 😂
    These paints are not for me, but I can definitely see them being a decent first set for someone who doesn't want to spend a lot just to try out watercolors, or maybe for a crafter. I don't think anything has really beaten Pretty Excellent in terms of value, though...

      Thank you! :) Where do you get your empty pans from?
      I haven't tried the Pretty Excellent paints, but we are lucky at the moment because there are many affordable sets that are available to us!
