    I would love to see a long and unedited video of you drawing and erasing. I think the choices you make in erasing certain things, especially if you explain what you are seeing that you don't like and want to change, would be incredibly useful. But honestly, whatever videos you post, I will always watch - and very gratefully! I adore your art, and your voice-overs are interesting and calming and often funny. Wishing you all the best! ❤

      My favorite videos of hers are the 45 minute ones. I love watching her full process.

    Seeing that there is a new Klood video always makes my day, the art is always beautiful and the process is super relaxing. I have to disagree with you because for me the sketching part ( whether is mine or any other artists) is always the one I enjoy the most, the whole process of the illustration coming together and the decisions taken (whether they are putting something on the paper or erasing it) is always super interesting and how it makes the illustration evolve from the beginning to the end, it is just super mesmerising to me😊, as the sketch is the foundation of the illustration. All this said I also have a healthy jealousy of your beautiful colouring process.

    I've written and deleted like three paragraphs of squeeing now so this time I'll be succinct: I LOVE the sketch you ended up with, I LOVE the colors you used, and I was DELIGHTED to see you using Paul Rubens watercolors because I am a cheap bastard and those are what I use. (I've been very happy with them.)

    I always loved your flat watercolor style, together with your sketches/lineart it always looks amazing, and now im also falling in love w/ the color pencils combination!
    I really admire your line control (even if/when it doesn't come easily), and i think it helps with making ur use of color pencils so good too. I loved the way the textures on the jacket, hair and background came together :3

    Do you watch Lioba Brückner? She seems to have found a sweet spot in her use of watercolors and color pencils, at least one she seems to be happy with. Your process looks pretty solid. Much of life is trial and error, isn't it? I like how your pic turned out.

    Your work is beautiful as always but I do get that wanting to hit that sweet spot of detailed yet simple. In my case, I feel so lacking that I feel like i keep covering things I'm not satisfied that in the end it looked so busy. I still like what ive done but often I wish I just could do with minimal decorative elements esp when I meant my character to stand out

    Do you stretch your paper? And do you have recommendations for watercolor brands with good light fastness? And how do you store your original art to makesure they last. Thanks!

    • @Kloodwig
      @Kloodwig  9 месяцев назад +3

      Hey, yeah I like to stretch my paper. My go to watercolors are Schmincke Horadam but there are loads of brands with good light-fastness. It always depends on the color, or the pigment used, so it's less about the brand and more about the pigments they decide to use. Even student grade watercolor like this set has pretty good light-fastness.
      I usually just throw them in a drawer, not very glamours but I'm not too worried about it lasting. If I make something with the intent to sell it then I will be more gentle and thoughtful, but usually I don't think that far ahead.
