I have my original Manta mask from the kickstarter! I bought one more exactly like it and they do not make the original anymore! I will consider this one. Thanks for the review!

It's great kickstarter keeps the old history of the projects. You can see they started back in 2017 and the updates along the way here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/markzhang/manta-sleep-mask-upgrade-your-sleep-upgrade-your-l/description

I'm late to the party on this but between the pro and the silk mask, which do you prefer and why? Does the silk stay cooler than the pro and which has more comfortable eye cups? I also would like to use the cooling cups as well since I sleep with the window open here in the MN winter and the cups should stay cold throughout the night.
    Thanks!

The silk does feel cool to the touch and appears to be cooler than the pros.

Great video, straight to the point. I’ve read some people online saying the new silk mask has memory foam eye cups like the rest of manta’s sleep masks, can you personally confirm that the eye cups on the new mask are 100% pure 30 momme silk? Also do you think there’s any legitimate reason to go for the silk one over the pro or do you think the memory foam manta pro does the job fine and can just be paired with a silk pillowcase?

When it's so thin, it's hard to see the memory effect. 30 momme can only be confirmed if I rip it all apart and measure the sq inches and weight it, hard to tell from the weight of the entire thing since it has other components built in. Silk is for not pulling on your face and cause wrinkles, beauty knowledge says so but not sure if there is any proof behind it.

I bought one and it said to wash before use so I have. The mask is dry but the eye pockets are not! I washed them this morning and they are still not dry. Was I not supposed to wash them? (edit) I wonder if it's the cooling I'm feeling and it just seems wet?

If you're in a humid area, you might want to dry it longer. They should not 'feel' damp.

@@BeatTheBushDIY Thank you for your reply. They did finally dry, but it took almost 2 days.

I want the best sleeping mask, cheap to average price, available on Amazon, high quality and comfort, more than a good product.

Not the most important part but weird to change the color from something nice and easy to kids toy purple and offer nothing else

Not the worst color but it'll be great to have a selection.

I think the eye masks that airlines give out on the transcontinental flights work a lot better and they’re free

If you've used them for more than a week or two you'd know they don't hold up over time.

@@PaulHobus you’ve got a very good point. I only used the eye mask on the flight
