this video is making me consider just getting a regular manta sleep mask first just to see how i handle those instead of jumping straight to the sound mask like i was originally thinking about doing. maybe that way theres going to be a manta sleep pro with improvements to the problems you brought up by the time i am ready to commit :D
Great review, you hit the nail right on the head. I got mine just a few days ago and you took the words right out of my mouth. I posted my own review on Amazon for this product that said many of the same things you did. The only thing I would say is a counterpoint to your comment about the noise cancelling. There are many people, myself included, who need to be able to hear at least to some degree while sleeping. I have young kids and so being able to hear and react quickly to crying, call outs, and other noises coming from their bedrooms is incredibly important. For me, just having my white noise playing at a soft volume is enough to drown out most of the garbage noise that keeps me up at night. The creaky house, the ticking clock, cars outside, etc. But I can still hear the big stuff that I need to hear if something needs my attention in the middle of the night. I also just don't know how comfortable I feel being completely unable to hear while I sleep. I'm already extremely vulnerable in that state. Add to that potentially being unable to hear things like someone breaking into my home, smoke alarms, someone calling for help, etc. Perhaps it's a bit dramatic but I'm sure you get my point. Anyway, I know there are people who are fine with it and like to drown out absolutely everything. But as for me, I think the amount of noise I can hear while wearing my sleep mask with some white noise is just enough 'noise cancelation' for people like myself. Again, fantastic review. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully Manta sees this and makes some tweaks to their design.
Honestly this is such a good point! I guess my conclusions say a lot about how safe I feel when I sleep. Regardless, the introduction of a noise cancelling feature would need some serious safeguards. Thanks for such a well thought out comment! :)
I have just watched this video. It is SO well-delivered that I have signed into Google in order to say so. Great work. Excellent information SWIFTLY and INTELLIGENTLY delivered. Thank you.
...they don't mention the mic? Weird. Weirdos. Welp. Just ordered one, will report back. I also got one of the OG Manta Masks to replace the one that ended up covered in yogurt in an airplane mishap. After cleaning it off in an airport bathroom, I somehow don't want to put it on my face again. I am curious about the Cool Eye Cups but after spending $194.92 US (tax included) on the two masks, not sure I want to shell out yet another $25 US +tax to experiment. Not sure I really need it. I've got central air. Yes, I know how good I've got it, and do actively try to get Democrats elected here in the US. Also, good job. Very well done video.

My pleasure! Keep at it!
Super informative, I definitely won't be buying! This seems like a downgrade from my old mask and AirPods Pro, thanks for saving my money!!!
