- The SO-ACU team returned to Nepomuceno Street for the second day in a row.
It was good to see that some of the vehicles which had been ticketed for illegal parking yesterday, had already found alternative parking.
Although there were still many vehicles that were ticketed for two days in a row.
The team also continued to Carlos Palanca where paid parking on the road and sidewalk is approved by the City, through the use of parking attendants.
Unfortunately several vehicles did not have parking tickets from the attendant, which led to them being penalized by the MMDA for illegal parking.
There was some tension between enforcers and a parking attendant who allegedly started writing out late tickets to vehicles that the MMDA were apprehending.
He allegedly told enforcers that he hadn't given tickets to the parked cars because he didn't have his ticket book with him.
This could potentially cause an issue later if the MMDA violation is contested. Because the driver might show the ticket issued by the parking attendant and claim they had paid for parking. But according to enforcers, the ticket was only written AFTER they started apprehending the vehicles for illegal parking.

"smelled of cockroaches, with rats all over, and that there is no sewerage system". instead of accepting the truth and clean up the city, the council of Manila declared her as Persona non Grata and banned all of her movies. What Danes described and said back in 1998 is still relevant today.
Whatever claire danes said, it is happening in United States slso, Hollywood and NY city smell shithole. US are more worst, go to Philly, zombie are all pver the street. Rats are running on the subway, they even eat pizza in the street. Homeless living in the street.
Those are US cities with the same national budget on the Phils, so why will you concern what vlaire danes said when her country is also garbage

One word: NAKAKAHIYA. Drivers who never learned, drivers parking everywhere, drivers creating a home for themselves in the sidewalks, drivers peeing and drinking alcohol. Yet they have the audacity to argue, reason out and sometimes use influence. Driving a vehicle whether it’s 2-wheels or more is not a privilege, it’s a responsibility.

The impound yard where they store all these towed vehicles must be huge!
It's pretty big. But a lot of people pay their penalties and get the vehicle back within 48 hours.
Most of the streets sa Ermita and Malate areas ang ginawang Pay Parking ng Manila City Hall, sobrang liit ng kalsad naka double parking pa. Spifically, along Arquiza Street and Seniora De Guia everyday ko nakikita. Hindi ko maiintindihan bakit inaprobahan ng City Hall yun, hirap pag nag lalakad ang mga tao and it cause traffic pag magpapark na ang isang car, grabe ang sikip at 1 lane nalang nagagamit sa gitna pa.
I love the pop ups of the violations.
I just need to work out how to smooth the tracking a little bit. Maybe if there's some kind of averaging I can do to reduce the jitter.

paid parking ( on public road ) and illegal parking on public road has the same effect, Traffic and congested streets.
You're right in saying that tricycle riders are the worst riders or drivers especiallty if they don't have any license!!! Had my share of being sideswiped by these drivers while biking several times. After being hit by them, they just ran away. Halatang walang mga lisensya kaya tumakbo!
This is true. Almost 70% ata ng tricycle they don't bring license, they don't follow traffic lights din,
They know they can't be identified because they don't have plates.
And even if you catch them, they'll scratch their head and say they can't pay for the damage 🤷♂️
No insurance, no registration and no license - that's commonly the case.
Those repeat violators should be given a bigger penalty para baka sakaling madalâ na sila.

Basically those who comply with the law is the most scrutinized and those who doesn't get off easily, so kudos to MMDA for exerting effort in apprehending violators....
That's the reality of the non-contact apprehension programs from some LGUs.
Thousands of drivers and riders are getting hit with expensive tickets for very minor violations that are basically just a technicality.
For example turning right from the "wrong lane" because the first lane was converted to a bicycle lane.
Meanwhile all the tricycles and many motorcycles are hiding their plates, making them completely exempt.
Some cars are also doing it, but it's not as common.
@@GadgetAddict one thing i would like to add is.... "most traffic rules are for M.M ONLY" if you venture out even just the outskirts of Metro Manila, MMDA would in heaven and in purgatory. Heaven that they can get em Bast...err violators. Purgatory because its gonna be a ton of issuing tickets.
Anyways, ive seen posts of videos and comments that the non-contact is a little bit chaotic and to some, its a cash cow instead of helping/guiding motorist of what is right, they rathercollect the fines.
Its a WILD WILD WEST out there.

The person trying to justify the one-side parking (using the 15 days period) is very ignorant. What their Barangay chairman submitted to City Hall was their application for approval of one-side parking. Even if 15 days had already passed from the time of application it does not carry that it is already approved or effective. Either the Mayor or the City Council will still have to pass a resolution making it effective.
Manila issuing parking ticket on the street is a big MISTAKE considering they want the city free from traffic congestion, corruption on the baranggay level is the issue, good job MMDA 👍
ang problema is kagaya nung huli yung mga LGU ang pasmino na gawing business ang kalsada.
Cant the MMDA or DILG sue the barangay officials for negligence? i believe it's the barangay's job to maintain the road and sidewalks clear of any obstructions.
I've seen stacks of papers in the mmda office.. cases prepared by their lawyers against various Barangays.
They were submitted to DILG, because they have authority over the barangays.

Yan ang struggle kung may sasakyan ka pero walang garahe. Sana lahat ng highway o kalsada na madami dumadaan ay ipagbawal ang parking. Pag sa baranggay kasi hindi lahat pabor jan dhil nkikinabang sila o takot sila sa mga residente dhil pagkinalaban nila ay sa sunod na eleksyon wala na sa pwesto.

how will i know if i violated a traffic law by non contact apprehension on edsa? they will mail it to you? what if you owned a repo motorcycle that still under the 1st owners name?... theres no way for me to check if i have a violation. LGU's has their ways but Government Agency like MMDA doesn't?
You can use the mmda hotline 136 to check.
But yes, you'd also be sent a notification via snail mail.
I think eventually they'll also be sent by SMS and Email, now the MMDA is tied into the new LTO portal system.
But if you haven't updated the owner of the vehicle with LTO, that's something you should try to fix as soon as possible.
the reason the parking attendant forgot to issue a parking ticket is he was trying to pocket the fee for himself. Not that hard to figure it out
Parang baliktad naman tong si nebrija. Nag apply sila ng one side parking na hindi inaksyunan ng manila govt in 15 days. Dapat auto approve na yun under ease of doing business. If its not allowed then the govt should have disapproved it. But im not really sure. Tingin ko lang naman

It depends on the driver. If they do something reckless and risk peoples safety, or act very arrogant, he's more likely to react to them in a similar way.

I learned that MMDA has no jurisdiction in Pasay thats why there is no clearing operation held all over Pasay City. Only the pasay LGU conduct a hipcritical clearing operation.
I'm not sure where you learned that. I've uploaded dozens of videos showing different parts of Pasay being cleared by the MMDA 🤷♂️

That's what many tricycles drivers have said.
Often they will ask if the MMDA will allow MTPB to impound them instead, because it's very cheap by comparison.

that is the best of of getting rid of all these junks on the highway. Tow them and should be burned when uncollected in a week. Stop these non sense due process, due process of collections. Pay or get burned. Recycle these metals. Iron fist and high unrelentless discipline or the country goes down the drain regardless of the hard effort being done by the leaders.
Time to buy a new and better towing truck that can quickly tow vehicles.

here is a sad reality we are dealingwithin the USA. A lot of immigrants are coming here to live and bringing that same parking and driving mentality with them. Ifind myself calling 311 to report a car blatantly blocking my driveway. People in general have become so inconsiderate and disregard laws they find annoying.
