I can hear where John Mayer got his bends from. J was practicing gravity last night and you'd be surprised how difficult of a song it is to play and make sound good because of the repeated bends with vibrato. 5:04 to 5:06 methinks that is not so much ad lib as knowing that run from previous jams and where that run works as in over what chord of the key. I've seen you do that first part (maj 7 shape) in prev jams. But you changed the 2nd part. Lots to learn! thx for all the vids.

That is all improv is. A combination of hearing what you want to play and knowing how to play it. It doesn't matter if you can hear an amazing solo in your head if you don't know how to play it in an instant without thinking.

I'm on it. Tomo, I play do the same things at times scales etc mostly without any direction. . But you keep things fresh... Was listening to your stuff on amazon music too. I usually listen to indie rock or blues but I love what you do. Maybe I'm acquiring more taste in music.
Just like a driving...it's nice to know the direction before hand... have a choices are very important for me. Practice routine: not one answer... flexible choices and ideas. That way you can keep your foundation strong and other will be very fresh and exciting!! Thanks for listening my music!!

Chord diagrams for each measure makes it easier than looking at were your fingers are.they come with an ink pad and make a box .(old school)a dot or x marks the spot

I'm on it. Tomo, I play do the same things at times scales etc mostly without any direction. . But you keep things fresh... Was listening to your stuff on amazon music too. I usually listen to indie rock or blues but I love what you do. Maybe I'm acquiring more taste in music.
Just like a driving...it's nice to know the direction before hand... have a choices are very important for me. Practice routine: not one answer... flexible choices and ideas. That way you can keep your foundation strong and other will be very fresh and exciting!! Thanks for listening my music!!
